    Grid Trading Strategy (Two Forex Trade Ideas Utilising a Forex Grid Strategy) // In this video I present two trade ideas that are based on our proprietary trading framework and forex trading grid. Grid trading strategies are not new and many professional Forex traders base their approach on this framework.
    However what they do not do is use our process driven approach to deriving a forex trade idea and then applying the Grid trading strategy the way that we do. For us it is not an entry system, but rather a trade management framework. It allows you to contextualise the price and make trading decisions based on relative value.
    In this video we demonstrate this process and how we approach Forex Grid Trading.

    I hope you enjoyed this video. I know some of the ideas are a little controversial, but please try to keep an open mind and ask me any questions you have about the approach, so that I can show you the real value of it :).

      Hi Alex, I saw in one of your other comments that you said that having a trading bias is crucial for this strategy. I have spend a fair amount of time now researching this strategy and I don't seem to be able to understand how it is logically possible to lose big amounts of money with this strategy. In the worst case it is break even +- 0 and you may loose commission fees or spread differences but that's it. However, I found a research paper that claims that there is a small chance to encounter existential loss that can wipe out the whole account. Could you talk about this possibility because I can not understand how this could be possible with this technique.

      @@brummel7318 yes please explain. But as long as you have some risk mgmt and you take money out of the market. You should be good right?

    Hi Alex, I loved the Grid Trading Strategy video, and look forward to seeing more on this topic, and your framework. One of the few Grid trading strategy video's that outline (through Interest Rate Differentials, Non-Commercial Positioning, and Support and Resistance) that provides some insight on when and how to position your grid. Most simply deal with the concept of Grid Trading. I look forward to hearing more from you. Best!

    Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower times frame trend).Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 3 -5 days--not day trading). By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 5-15,four hourly candles has enough big players/juice/force behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset to lose again. I seek wisdom from every trader.? Thank you.

      The S&T Vek strategy is one i can boldly recommend to every trader the only downside is the fact that it is time consuming, that said the strategy is consistent and highly profitable.

    Hi Alex, I like your ideas about using the Grid Structure for many reasons.
    During your video, you mentioned that you would go into more detail about this technique in another video.
    I do not see any more videos from you on the Grid topic. Are you still planning to add more detail with another video?
    If you did another video with more detail about your Grid Trading Techniques, can you point me to it?
    Thanks for all you do!!

    Hedging is awesome if used right. The downside is that It requires you to tie up larger amounts of capital in 1 trade . The initial position size upfront also has to be smaller.

    Hi Alex. Thanks for posting, What would you use as support/resistance levels if pair were hitting new highs/lows?

    • @AlexOng
      @AlexOng  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Martyn,
      In this instance you would either go deep into historical charts to find one, or you would project the next level based on the previous grid levels. Remember the grid is for context. You can then apply your own entry strategy based on where you are in the grid, so you don't have to trade from the grid levels.

    As an algo trader, this provides little to go on as entry/exit rules need to be precise. So please provide that. One typical approach can be first to establish the bias, and trade in that direction when the price has deviated enough in the other direction relative to the EMA. Exit as price hits the EMA. How about that?

    • @AlexOng
      @AlexOng  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Frederik, the reason it provides little on entry and exit rules is because the point is that trading within a grid you do not need to be so specific. Once you understand the context of the market you are trading, you can create an approach that takes advantage of general volatility. Yes developing a bias is crucial to this type of trading.

    • @AlexOng
      @AlexOng  3 роки тому

      You would have to create this in excel by having two columns with the respective rates and then a third where you calculate the differential. Once you have done that you can use excels graph function to create your charts.
