In this video we find the United States in London, we go to Grosvenor Square (just behind Oxford Street) to the second biggest square in London and go back in history. We hope you enjoyed this video. Have you been here before or do you have your own hidden little treasure in London you’d like to share? If so please let us know in the comments below.
Love this video. I worked at the American Embassy when I was a young girl. Also the US Navy Office .Many great memories and always visit when i in London.
@@deplorable3683 wow, glad you have great memories of there. Changing loads now with the building go on. Thanks so much for watching and for your comments 👍
A beautiful area. I did not know so much American memorials and history is connected here. England sponsored such grace, love, support, and help to America after the 9/11 attacks. I saw a video where the English Royal Band actually played The Battle Hymn of the Republic so sweetly and lovingly. I cried all day after I saw that video and tear up every time I revisit. I LOVE my mother country - England. And my long time heritage. Well, I certainly appreciate your posting this. A treat.
The Duke of Westminster owned the land on which the embassy was built on but the US thought they did and asked him if they would sell it to them The Duke reportedly said he would only sell if the US government returned his family’s land, confiscated during the American War of Independence namely vast tracts of Maine, New York and Florida.
