Married At 18| dealing with shame, condemnation, and fear

Hey family!
This is a very vulnerable moment for me. I was scared to share this part of my life for a very long time because of the different battles I had to face. I faced so much doubt about what God was calling me to do. It seemed like I was trying to rebel against everyone around me, but God knew my heart throughout this journey. Wow! It takes courage to do what you did. Just hearing God and allowing Him to direct you. I can only compare it to the story of Abraham, when God called him to come out from the land of Ur of the Children's, where his parents lived. Abraham was just faithfully following the voice of God. It is not easy to leave a place that you have become so accustomed to. It takes faith, and you have demonstrated it in your story. I have been so encouraged by your story that I have shared your video with my nieces who are young. I hope this will challenge them, that you can be young and still sold out to God. When we talk to them, they often feel that we are too old and outdated (old school). So they do not take their walk with God seriously. This has challenged me as well. Keep on sharing your experiences with God. It is and will encourage a lot of people, not just the young.

Wow. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I definitely agree, my husband and I constantly refer back to the story of Abraham whenever we feel discouraged. Abraham moved as the Lord spoke. A lot of people nowadays are not willing to do that because they want things to add up and make sense, but God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.This journey has stretched my faith in ways I never thought possible. I can relate to feeling like I’m over religious etc I’ve been wrestling with covering my head when praying and prophesying for two years I believe God has revealed this to me but everyone keeps telling me I’m misinterpreting the scripture that my hair is my glory so I bought some head coverings but I’m still struggling with being the odd ball out at church

@@Tanaeaa wow! I can relate as well. There are so many interpretations of that scripture, I've been told that I'm misinterpreting scripture as well. I honestly go with what I believe I've been convicted of. I've been covering my head whenever I pray almost four years now, and I think I've become so used to it to the point where I wear it all the time but I really don't have to. Do what you believe God is telling you🤍
