  • Hello Lovelies,
    This Ngu / Potash alternativeis made from Palm bunch stem. It's simple and easy to make at home. A lot of people add " eatable potash" to their recipes when needed. But i personnel do not think that potash is healthy because, it usually upsets my system anytime I eat anything that contains potash. So this home made potash alternative works so well for me and I have no issues using it.
    Enjoy the recipe and let me know how it goes in the comment section. Please do not forget to subscribe, like and share my videos. Please support the Upcoming.

    I don’t like akanwu because it disturbs me alone and i am Enugu girl, (you know now, Abacha and ndi Enugu na 5 & 6). Our neighbors from Isuochi makes this type of ngu and it never run my stomach. Your video just brought back so many memories, just wondering how to get this your ngu. The life of those living abroad is not an easy thing. Thank you sis.

      You can say that again. Me eating Akanwu is looking for a big trouble in my stomach hahahaha! but Ngu is very good for me.

      Hahahaha! I will laugh with you too. Well, if you don't believe it, I won't argue with you. But for you to say that local flight in Nigeria won't even carry it means, either you don't live in Nigeria or you don't fly. People even carry red oil let alone ordinary water. let's leave it at that for now.

      Don't say what you don't know, liquid can be carried in a flight if properly wrapped.

    Please how were you able to dry the palm oil bunch stems, each time i attempt to dry mine they end up decaying

    • @ELLANMA
      @ELLANMA  11 місяців тому

      Just make sure the weather is very sunny and no amount of water or rain touches it/them.
      Also where you keep it/them in the evening matters. Keep them in a dry place where it will not sweat.
      Again as long as there's sun, bring them out everyday. Don't skip any day so they don't start sweating where you kept them because that can make them to start decaying.
      Hope this helps.

    • @ELLANMA
      @ELLANMA  2 роки тому +1

      If it is the Ngu liquid you are saying that it's too dark, 2 things could cause that. One, may be you didn't allow it too settle very well before filtering it or a lot of the ash particles passed through while you were filtering it. There my be other reason but this 2, am sure of. Hope you get my point.....

    But she don't burn the palm fruit head. She dry and burn the small branches that hold the nuts. Not the head itself. This is first time I'm seeing the head burnt and used as ngu. Well done. We learn every day.
