Here's some interviews given by Egil Clausen and Ivan Mendez, Angelina's special guitarists. Both mention how spontaneous many of these recordings were. She would just suggest a song, they'd pick a key, and she would begin recording while reading the lyrics off her phone or tablet. Both of the guitarists have said in an interview that it is basically one take. They say that they are invited to the house, have a meal, talk and then decide what song they are going to do and then do it.

Andy Williams recorded new lyrics, which we see here, and the song became a major success reaching the top ten on Billboard charts. Great advice, to take time off from social media. Enjoy life away from your electronic devices. Can still listen to Angelina sing though. This performance is another in the long list that I try to get into my top 10 from Angelina. Her voice warms my soul and melts my heart.
The instinct for how something should sound, AJ has it. Remember she is 11/12 and this is an improv session.
I am never afraid to use the genius word with AJ,she gets and can express music vocally like few others.
Angelina has such a remarkable ability to express the meaning of the words. It's like she is a good friend of yours, and the two of you are sitting at a table in a cafe, and she is telling you the story of something that happened to her recently and how it made her feel, and you are feeling with her every step of the way.
I feel that she is singing this to her grandma, who is actually filming this on her simple camcorder. The relationship that they have is so deep, Angelina is inspired by her and in turn her grandma is her number one fan...

The sweetness, intimacy and passion that he manages to instill in her voice is absolutely incredible, with her her songs always have a different scent. Sweetness, emotion, soul, love, are all ingredients absolutely present in her voice, Angelina uniquely embodies the charm of naturalness, she is an inexhaustible source of musical poetry, regardless of the genre and style she interprets. hi there - sometimes i miss my little Angelina not influenced by nobody except the greats of music - but this also happenes to my own kids - we as parents eventuelly have to let them go and find their own way - this is how i feel sometimes for Angelina - proud but still a little bit sad because of the growing distance - she is still there and so great but different if this makes sense - these early years are priceless - cheers from Germany

This was the theme song from the 1970 movie “Love Story”, although it was only instrumental because Paramount picture rejected the lyrics. Carl Sigman wrote the lyrics about a dying woman but Paramount wanted a love song. The movie is very highly ranked as a romantic drama movie that ends in a tragedy. I remember watching it as a 16 years old with my girlfriend and I remember that there were no dry eyes in the theatre.
The song was later recorded and released by Andy Williams with different lyrics and reached to #9 on the Billboard magazine Hot 100 list. Carl Sigman was so frustrated when he wanted to rewrite the lyrics. He looked at his wife and said “Where Do I Begin”. These became the opening words of the new lyrics.
Isn’t it amazing to listen and watch Angelina performing this song while reading the lyrics yet still conveying the emotions so brilliantly.

According to an interview given by her LA guitarist Ivan Mendez, she hardly ever rehearsed the songs they played, often choosing them almost at random. In some songs, it's quite obvious that she doesn't really know the song that well, but it's still always brilliant. 'California Dreamin''' is a prime example of that. 😎

I agree, she should not be so good. With all the problems in the world, with family issues, personal setbacks, self-doubt, with de-trackers and profiteers, with accidents and illness. Many, many people have tried and failed, for one lack or another. Not enough talent, not enough support, bad timing, bad luck, you name it. But, very much but… she made it!... And I am glad that I an witnessing this firsthand, in my lifetime.

You should know by now that when Angelina sings a song you hear it as it was always meant to be. Who needs big orchestras when you have a voice like that? On the spontaneous performance thing, Ivan Mendez said they just run through a song for chords and then record. If there's a retake it's usually him messing up. It's probably the same here with Egil. By the way, this is one of my (many) favourite songs from her.

This is one of my favorites of Angelina's off-the-cuff covers, super simple, not completely on the cues, and still breathtaking, moving, making everything difficult in life stop for precious minutes of beautiful music. Alan papier did an interview with Egil Clausen posted on 20th march 2021 where he talks about how they set about recording songs, and that they did not prepare prior what the would be singing

Believe it Broudy, all these home videos with Egil in Norway & Ivan In LA are impromptu performances. If more than one take was needed it was because the guitarist messed up badly, not Angelina. Little mis steps (like her missing her que) are left in as perfect imperfections. Like everyone is telling you, watch the interviews with Egil & Ivan on Alan Papier's channel. I don't know of any other artist that posts their informal jams on YT. The scary thing is most of these informal performances are better than the originals, IMO.

Alan Papier interviewd Egil and Ivan her two guitarist and they said she would choose a song, they learn the music and then in one or two takes they would post the song. Amazing !!!
I will second listening to the 2 interviews of Ivan and Egil that are linked in the comments here. This will give you some good insight into how she works. I do not know if she truly understood her gift as she may have thought it normal to be able to instantly pick music up and play it. As in Ivan's interview, he had to learn the song on the fly as he stated some of them he had never even heard before. Nice to have you back. It is good that you recognize when you need a break. No one will/should find fault with that.

You NEED to listen to the interviews Alan Papier did with Angelina's two guitar accompanists. When she was in Norway (up until she turned 12), she recorded with Egil Clausen (as in this video). After she moved to LA, Angelina's accompanist was Ivan Mendez. Alan Papier interviewed both of her guitarists to see what it was like to work with Angelina. It's stunning to say the least. In this track, she's obviously reading the lyrics from the iPad in her lap. Other times, the iPad is off-camera - but you can still see her reading the lyrics (like in "Million Years Ago").
