Kissy Missy is ABSOLUTELY adorable in every way. Her struggle to pull the lever and innocent but curious body language is phenomenally done.
I agree, I hope we can see more of her and her wholesomeness in a few other chapters if we can get them :]
Her, Bunzo and Cat bee are my favorite characters in this entire series by far!

The reason why jack is almost in every game, (voice) acting, is because he does it for free. He enjoyed the game, then offered his voice for free for the developers because he likes it. And definitely in developer's stand point, this is a free asset and a good one at that. So why not?

Let’s be honest, mommy is fully conscious, and was made for the sole purpose of entertaining children. Then whatever happened happened, and she was left to roam the empty halls, with nothing new to see or do. Can you blame her for being bitter to you, a former employee? Not even mentioning the fact that she hasn’t eaten for a long time.
If we are a former employee... why is everything so big compared to us ? I feel like we're a child bc all the mechanics for the train for example are 5x bigger then us

I’m only about half an hour in so I don’t know if Matt gets it yet but there’s a note he can find that mentions that Mommy Long Legs was somewhere else then later assigned to the Game Station area. The thought was that dealing with the children would chill her out.

Plus - its fairly clear that mommy was human prior to becoming mummy long legs and it doesn't seem she agreed to it (In the letter for her reassignment her original name appear - Marie Payne)

it’s actually the rubber banding effect failing!! basically when the player moves fast, pug moves fast to catch up. but if you dont move or hide at the start he walks past you, not tracking the player’s movements. the dev team messed up on that part.
PJ had just got sick of it and told Matt and mommy they were on their own lol 😂

Actually, daddy long legs are "harvestmen", which is an order of arachnids. They possess eight legs like spiders but have an oblong body with no separation, do not produce silk or webbing, and do not possess venom as they are scavengers and not predators like venomous spiders.
There are multiple things called daddy longlegs in different regions, I'm quite sure.

I love that one interaction with kissy missy. It's so cute. The way she looks at you innocently and struggles to pull the lever is honestly adorable. My favourite part in the entire game.

@@lyndseystrait1513 I read or watched something that said she is meant to be the rule keeper in a sense for all the toys (and employees I think) so she probably left to get back to work so she wasn’t breaking any rules
i need to emphasize just how much i LOVE the kissy missy scene. i love the body language and how fluid everything is, how she looks at the lever and then back at the player. it’s such a good scene
I also adore how she struggles a bit with the lever, I personally assume she's not used to being in her body due to the toys presumably being people

You have to love that Mat managed to break the game, twice. PJ Pugapiller and Mommy Longlegs stood no chance.
You know what's really creepy about what we learned in this chapter? That the kids were using the grabpacks. I thought it was only employees and all the training videos are clearly adults. But you need the grabpack for the games, right? Maybe you could do the memory game without it but not the wack-a-huggy one for sure
Now that you mention it, it does look concerning.
It even mentions about how “a two palm grabpack will be provided” for wack-a-wuggy and in the storage a pair of hands was missing

Something I rarely hear people mention is how Mommy screams “You can’t do this! You’ll make me part of him!” Which is something I hope Matpat delves into a bit further. My guess is that prototype attaches “broken toys” to itself as sorts of upgrades which means we may see Mommy again and maybe even Huggy seeing as how we never saw where he ended up.

I saw a video saying that huggy fell into the bunzo area where there were scratch marks on the wall and pipes. It said that the scratch marks are huggy fur.
huggy is in the game though? In the mommy chase he is hiding in a vent for 1 seconds before you must run.

@@Mia_SilverWings I retract my statement. I spotted it in my own playthrough however it appears to be some sort of blue pipe mixed with a lighting area so it comes across as huggy. I just checked with full bright on as I'm playing the game and its just a blue pipe that looks incredibly similar. Sorry for my mistake.
Fun fact: working at a school and having some children playing with Huggy Wuggy plushies without knowing they existed, is extremely terrifying! So it's good to know it's at least their merch XD

i was listening to the radio one day and apparently one of the hosts bought a huggy wuggy for his kid without knowing what it was and he was so confused why it was so terrifying to look at but his kid loved it
This might be a bit of a hot take, but in the first video of MatPat doing chapter 2, there was a form on one of the rejected toys in the warehouse at 1:05:00 which read that someone named "Patty Hall" had sabotaged one of the machine - it also read "saboteur has since been dealt with"...It's also true that when Kissy Missy made an appearance, she didn't attack you. What if Patty Hall became Kissy Missy? Patty Hall may have seen the true nature of the company and rebelled by sabotaging their production lines, before being experimented on.
I really like that idea, that would explain how she isn’t violent towards the player, but there is also the possibility that she was given commands by mommy to not attack. You have to remember that huggy wuggy was obedient, and so the other “wuggys” might also be obedient, also seen in the “wack a wuggy”. I really hope that we see more of her in the next chapter, hopefully that will reveal if she really wants to help us, or could be like poppy.

There is an irony to Matpat wanting to be in the games that Jacksepticeye appears in, especially when looking at the Markiplier projects because Markiplier has said that The Hermit in Heist and Mack in Space were both originally pictured to be Jacksepticeye. Looks like those two are living each other's roles

I absolutely adore the Mommy Long Legs VA. Bone-chilling death cry aside, the emotion in her lines (like whenever she "congratulates" the player) is top-tier.

Ah! My favorite is at the end of the memory game when she give you the train code and tells you too "take it," as well as "Mommy is so proud," after the Huffy Wuggy game. She sounds so pained to say those words xD

I have a theory: What if the games are testing how suitable the orphans to get turned into toys/experiments/monsters? They seem to put a real emphasis on how the games are testing the players' abilities, like their agility, their reflexes, etc. And we also know that you can actually die from failing these games. What if that's to get rid of any orphans who aren't suitable to be turned into experiments?
Who said they are orphans?
Actually mommy said a few times that there are usually safeguards in place to keep things from getting too close to the children (“usually the huggy wuggies have strings attached to keep them from getting too close to the children”) but that she’s removed them so she can watch the player die. Also it’s said earlier she’s aggressive towards workers but motherly towards the children

“Daddy long legs” is a nickname commonly used for two different arachnids.
Some use it when referencing pholcidae species (cellar spiders), which are spiders.
And some use it when referencing opilione species (harvestmen), which are not spiders.

Tarantula keeper here: Mat is *partially* correct about Daddy-Longlegs. Daddy-Longlegs *are* arachnids, but they are not spiders. They are actually Harvestmen, or Opiliones! They do not have the segmented body that spiders have, as Mat pointed out, but they also do not produce silk to make webs or have venom to defend themselves with.
There's a difference between sliders and arachnids?

just want to add that there are multiple species that are nicknamed "daddy-longlegs". one is, of course, the harvestmen but another is the cellar spider, which is an actual spider
@@artinstructor4020 Arachnids are the family/class that spiders, scorpions, ticks and Harvestmen are in, so there isn't exactly a difference..? But at the same time there is a difference because if you said Arachnid it could mean a few different things, hopefully I helped lol

The only main toys (so far) that I think are children is Kissy Missy and Huggy Wuggy. Just from the way Kissy interacted w/ us made me think her mannerisms are kinda child-like. And you could argue that Huggy's obedience is the result of a traumatised child.
I mean, there's also the theory that the guy we see in the tapes, Jimmy Roth, is actually Huggy Wuggy, because of what he says.

Edit: I don't mean any negativity towards Mirror Mat in any way don't get the wrong idea. It's just the pauses in the gameplay where MatPat and Mirror Mat would just go on talking about something or other get kinda annoying. Not too much since I can just skip it but, like, ya know.

I think MirrorMatt isn’t comfortable appearing in front of the camera just because he COULD and the fans would love it, but I think he chooses not to but I would love to see him one day!!!! At the same time it creates an air of mystery and intrigue to never see him 🤣
i think its always great to have someone to chant and banter with, it makes it feel casual and like youre all just hanging out. I'm glad Mirror Matt's been talking more too and sharing his own stuff.

Something I just noticed with this play-through: Poppy seems to have been stuck in the Game Station control booth this entire time. It is more than likely that Poppy - impersonating a recording of Stella - operated all those games/tests on purpose to see how well you'd perform. Since both Stella and Poppy share the same VA, this could easily be overlooked, but it's also a great way to hide what Poppy's up to/been up to.
From the moment she gets caught by Mommy to the moment we get to her, Poppy has webbing over her mouth which is why she doesn't speak at all. When we reach up to get the code, we snatch off the webbing as well.
My favorite part of every GTLive is the random side conversations which are surprisingly educational
One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is that Bonzo's "I know what your birthday is" was 100% added into the game for Markiplier, there is no way that it spat out a major UA-camr's birthday at random.
I assumed it was the date the factory shut down and, that it was reset each day for the kids
I think it's more likely just a random date. "Major youtuber" doesn't really mean much in any space that's not UA-cam
@@JohnDoe-hj9fh this is true, but my skepticism is due to the fact that he is known for playing indie horror games. Usually yes, UA-camrs typically don't have an impact on a space outside of UA-cam, but UA-cam is responsible for the success of most indie horror games, plenty of which Mark played no small part in. I used the term "major UA-camr" as a stand-in for "major UA-camr who has a high likelihood of playing the game and promoting the game by posting a video." So, a promotional decision. A potential extra spook, free advertising. No harm done. (I hope I explained my thought process more clearly, I have a tendency to make things more convoluted while trying to explain them)

Ya know I love the different ways people have reacted to this train ride:
Jack: actually worried and tries to pull the break
Mark: complete satin mode asking why he should pull the break and not go faster

I love how Matpat directly hear from the game that a part of his theory was wrong and his lack of reaction it made me think 'Why can't other people be like this? Why must they scream about it?'
I think it's poetic see how Mommy's lying corpse gets dragged by the Prototype's menacing hand.
The Trailer for Chapter Two began with us seeing a Huggy Wuggy plush being taken by Mommy Long Leg, insinuating that a bigger threat is coming.
And how Chapter Two ends, showing us Mommy Long Legs no longer a threat to us, instead revealing the next bigger threat taking her corpse away, just like she did with the Huggy Wuggy plush.

Yeah. It's nice to think of it this way instead of that they just couldn't think of another cool way to tease a character, which was my reaction.
@@shadowbunny7892 Definitely a very awesome way to reveal/tease the next bigger and badder threat in the series.
I feel its likely the prototype will be the game's main villain and not jsut the threat in the next chapter, giving the build up to it and the fact it as mentioned in th first chapter as well, and also in the death screen.
They must've told Jack to be as Irish as possible.
Definitely, that's the type of irish accent that Americans do for movies/TV shows. He already sounds so irish especially for the area he grew up in. This area of the country have surprisingly weak accents compared to others, I have virtually no irish accent and I'm like 100% irish
Its a cool cameo it just confuses me why he decided to do an obvious fake irish accent when he already has an irish accent, didnt he do that in bendy too?
@@yukiamano2078 i mean he kinda does it regularly ig, i hear him talk with a lighter accent all the time, maybe its just the voice acting of it all, like usuallt if they want an irish accent then they want it to be heavy and noticable, the same way they do with british or asian accents, but i do agree that its a bit weird
edit: when i say its weird i dont really mean from Jack i mean moreso from the voice acting industry itself
@@yukiamano2078 It's mostly for a bit of comedy; he leaned hard into the fake Irish accent and slang (“I saw a bloody *thing* dithering about in the bloody hallways”) to create a character that was so obviously, unmistakably Irish.
I think its supposed to sound old. Like how all the American accents are older-sounding. I don't know if it worked though..
Entomology student here: Daddy longlegs are arachnids but are actually more closely related to either scorpions or mites (still being debated) than to spiders. Also, they do have mouths but their mouthparts aren't strong enough to pierce human skin. Even if they could, they don't have venom glands so they wouldn't be dangerous.

how interesting! I always heard that they were actually the most poisonous in the Pacific NW in a ratio of body size to toxin within sense but due to their mouths being so small everyone was safe bc they physically can't bite you and good thing bc if they could you'd be screwed!
@@queenfree85 There are actually multiple creatures referred to as daddy long legs. The two most common are the non-spider that isn't venomous and the actual spider (also called a cellar spider) that is venomous and can bite but poses no serious threat to humans.
At the end of the game when the tape guy says that Huggy has top tier obedience, does that mean someone ordered him to go after us in the first chapter? Because that could be something to look into
Has no one realized that if that Spider Claw thing is “Experiment 1006”, also called, “The Prototype”, MatPat was wrong about Huggy being 1006. Huggy is actually Experiment 1170, according to the Log.

When Matt hid under the stairs during hide and seek, I felt so relieved. I was thinking of doing that from the first playthrough I watched and I am so happy knowing I am not alone in this thought process.
I felt relieved too but not because I did the same in fact I didn't play the game myself but it was a nice hiding spot if "mommy" didn't look behind and if she was actually coming for you because I saw some people go back up the stairs like dawko but she wasn't there anymore.

This is a weird thing for me to say, but has anyone noticed how cheerful and upbeat Poppy is in the beginning? But then goes completely monotone and cold after Mommy dies? Just a thought.
Yeah, I noticed that! There are also times when Mommy Long Legs mutters under her breath (specifically when the player completes the tasks) it sounds monotonous and a great storytelling/foreshadowing for the later chase scene dialogues.
i saw a theory backed up by the tapes and papers found that when the experiments are revived, they always have a tendency to have murderous intent, and that because poppy was in her case, she didn't get consumed by "the darkness", until she was released. As the theory talks about how poppy is possibly apart of these expirements.

The whole huggy wuggy being “obedient” makes sense. I mean think about it he had the option to go outside the facility but chooses to stay in his resting position in that one room. He basically acted as a guard dog, even the security guy said they had other less tame security meaning huggy wuggy
Also I'm pretty sure the less tame type of security was calling the police. And that they had other less tame ways of dealing with intruders.

Hey, MatPat there's an unfinished Beta version of this chapter in the files or something like that and there's a little bit of different ending. I think that devs left this Beta script on purpose! I think it's tricky in regard of what Poppy's true motive to lure us deeper into the factory might be.

@@L16htW4rr10r Alot of people who have played this have all come to the same conclusion that prototype 1006 is the Claw or like the tapes said Spider, because in terms of the story we got this chapter they pretty much explicitly laid it out for us that it's the prototype even the way they talk about it just matches even with the short glimpse we got. Now I am just glad he wasn't like some others and said the spider thing that jack talked about was MLL and not the prototype because that's ridiculous for 3 reasons 1.Mommy has four appendages two arms two legs lile jack said this thing has multiple 2.The employees knew about Mommy she 'runs' the game station so I am pretty sure most if not all the employees knew about Mommy which goes into reason 3.If that thing was Mommy wouldn't they have said it was Mommy instead like they know what she looks like and for god's sake she is like bubblegum pink I don't think the employees would mess her up for some monster looking thing

Just so you know, someone found an alternate version of Poppy's speech at the end of this chapter within the game files. You should totally check it out. I think the reason it was removed is because it revealed too much about the story and about Poppy herself.

I'm sure there's probably a reason Matpat doesn't wear headphones, but he really does seem to miss quite a few sound cues because he's not wearing any. I've noticed this during multiple different games
I always wonder that too, if he's worried about it affecting his hair there's always ear phones of some kind he could use. I feel it limits his gameplaying abilities a lot more than he thinks by not having the audio maximized for himself.

MatPat definitely had a harder time than other streamers or UA-camrs I’ve seen with chapter two. But then again Mat had one of the buggier games. Like statues was all over the place.
Yea the game is kinda buggy..At least he didn't get the bug that made you unable to play the game (apparently there was a massive bug that made you unable to the cart section if you didn't have certain settings involving fps).

This is a common thing with these games: no matter how much you try, when you first try to play, you will miss things. You’re seeing so many other things, so it’s hard to get all the collectibles in your first go. So I respect someone trying, just having that lack of expectations helps ease you a bit.

What I was able to get from reading the experiment 814 was a couple things:
1. A rat and poppy flowers were used
2.The poppy flower apparently has symbiosis properties
3. The rat was fed something and after 2 weeks was killed and submerged into a poppy flower and prepared into a gel mixture
4. After 1 week it was given an electric shock while in the gel to see if it could be revived
5. The attempt failed but the person (Most likely Ludwig) wondered what would happen if used on something bigger than a rat
So what I believe is that Ludwig is using the symbiotic poppy flower to try and revive that dead family member and all the monsters and toys like Huggy-Wuggy, Poppy, and Mommy Long Legs were past experiments to test that and while it worked it also caused many problems. I also believe that the hand that takes Mommy Long Legs at the end of the chapter is possibly Ludwig himself. There is also Poppy who either is going to get vengence for being trapped or try and take over the player's body to escape.
But that's my theory a GAME THEORY

Im about 90% sure that playtimes whole orphan project thing is so they can have humans for experiments without anyone noticing or caring if they're missing. The play center is to test if they're viable subjects, and if they're not then playtime "helps" them, by teaching them to do better at the games. I cant remember the exact line, but at one point, mommy says you deserve to die because you worked there. Idk. I could be wrong but its a theory that really sticks with me and i haven't seen anyone else mention it.

If the children were aprt of the experiment, its liekly theyw eren't the only ones. After all, I doubt Mommy Longlegs was a child. Its very likely the adult employees were the first to eb turned with the children experiments happening afterwards.

i think this is exactly what is going on. The three games are testing cognitive ability (musical memory), reflexes and reaction times ( whack a wuggie) and obedience(at least i think that would be the test for Statues) The orphans are almost certainly being used in the experiments, As op said, because no one will notice them disappearing, they have no families to look for them if they disappear. Mommy is hostile to the workers for what they've done to the children that loved her so. I really hope matpat will look into this theory deeper. But i truly believe OP is onto the LOOOORE here.
I feel like it’s child labor also cause kids are too young to understand labor laws. Because why is the posters so childish and one of them says “don’t hide behind doors to scare some person” or something? If it was adults then it would just be the logo then explaining. The managers or supervisors or whatever are adults who can handle the machinery or other stuff. Idk it’s just and idea

I don’t know if Mat noticed, but as soon as he went through the vent right after Mommy was pissed the player “cheated” it went absolutely silent and then when he gets to the area with the broken wall where there is a wheel chair and a monitor, they start playing “itsy bitsy spider” and I thought that was a super interesting touch as to why the game designer’s might have done that. Also I’m super curious if any of the chapters will go into the area with the broken wall. It seems like that area will be super infested with the lore.
Whats funny is in the second game theory for this game, Mat threw some shade at this company for merchandising instead of earning trust in fans with a good chapter 2. None of it was really that serious (except for the NFT stuff, that was a serious topic) but it turns out that Mob Games did unironically make a really good chapter 2. It just makes me happy that even with all the merchandising they still made something really good. Its refreshing.

I feel like even though we all know it I have to say it. This game not only has such amazing and unique monster designs and game mechanics, but these are some of the best and most intense chase scenes I've seen in gameplay. It's so well done
Can I just say that when what I consider the biggest death screen lore reveal popped up, was the one time Mat LOOKS AWAY AND DOENT SAY ANYTHING! They became toys to live forever BOOM.
That claw thing is most likely the “big spider” they where talking about. From the looks of it Mommy Long Legs was used in the game station in the past so it’s most likely that the employees knew about her

Pretty sure the whole point of the Jack Septiceye tape was to establish that the regular employees were kept in the dark about the living toys.

So she had to have been public knowledge, αnd maybe she was explained away by saying she was some sort of advanced robot. But other monsters playtime made like the Huggy monsters, Bunzo, the Pugapiller, and even the friendly kissy missy are secrets. So Jacksepticeye's character was freaked out because he say PJ, A monster that isn't known to the general public and hasn't been explained.

You're forgetting that the gamestation was deep underground in a lab that was explicitly contracted to be built with as much discretion as possible, not merely down the hall from the employee lounge.

I think the lines in the death screens are lines spoken by the employees back then, and not by Poppy. This is evident as one says that "He is loose" and "This is an emergency lockdown" which coincides with the event when The Prototype created a laser to temporarily blind the camera in his room and was seen being missing from his room, which due to it one of the surveillance specialists had to go inside his room to find him, only to find out that he was hiding in the blind spot of the cameras in order to escape. In the end, another specialist then closed back the door from which the first specialist who tried to search for him came from, hence, "This is an emergency lockdown", and ends with the specialist dying in the hands of the Prototype
If so, then why do some death screens say "He saved us" or "Isn't he perfect" while referring to the prototype I think. Some other death screens say "This isn't about you, get up".

Hey Matpat, look at the darkness around the irises of poppy.
They are signs of the toys slowly succumbing to the darkness.
At the beginning she barely had any darkness on her eyes, this meant she was playful but after rescuing her from Mommy Long legs, there is a slight amount of darkness and her colder personality is a sign of her losing her grip on sanity,
their poppy flower power is wilting.

@@diamondguycarlosortega4075 I believe it’s actually they need positive stimuli, in the notes it was said they did this by having them play with children. This kept the darkness down within them but after so many years without children it has caused them to give into the darkness. The only reason poppy wasn’t effected was because she was in a frozen state of mind in that container.

There's actually a number of distinct species that people call "Daddy Longlegs". There are the Harvestmen which are eight-legged, (but not spiders) with one body segment and one pair of eyes (what Matpat was thinking of I think); cellar spiders (true spiders that have a tiny thorax and abdomen with long spindly legs); and the Crane Fly which is not a spider, nor an arachnid and is also colloquially called a "Mosquito Hawk" (though it does not actually eat mosquitos, nor is it a giant mosquito).
Maybe it’s just where I live but I’ve actually never heard Crane Flies be called daddy long legs. I was so confused when I first learned that daddy long legs weren’t a single distinct species

- They are not true spiders but they are arachnids. They have chelicerae, pedipalps, and 4 pairs of walking legs like other arachnids such as spiders, scorpions, and ticks.
- They look like they only have 1 but they do have two separate body segments.
- They do not form webs because they have no spinnerets but they do that gross thing where they amalgamate into a large pile and if you disturb one they disperse
This info is coming from a bio student aiming to be a zoologist and currently taking a zoology class where we just tested over arthropods.
Coming back to this & listening to Mat be jealous of other youtubers having cameos in games is so funny now that he was in the FNAF movie. He did in fact weasel harder.
