- CBS is airing a brand new colorized special this Friday, May 21 at 8 p.m. EST. The special will colorize two episodes: "Baby Fat" and "The Bottom of Mel Cooley's Heart." Exciting news! These episodes have never been colorized before, so this is really special.
Other news:
Friday, May 28 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS: A rebroadcast of the colorized episodes "Where Did I Come From?" and "Never Bathe on Saturday." CBS is reairing these colorized episodes.
Sunday, June 6 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS: Dick Van Dyke is receiving a Kennedy Center honor at the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors.

You mean like Disney's Wonderful World of Color? While this show was crap even without color, good content that was originally in black-and-white should not be colorized.

@@minewheaties5029 I just think it’s fun to see the color episode at least once. I prefer the black-and-white episodes, but the specials are fun to watch with fellow fans.
@@kjricardo249 I watched too many of the reruns that aired on TV Land, and I fail to see the B.S. some claim about it being revolutionary. It was even more censored than The Andy Griffith Show.
Dick Van Dyke is my all time favorite comedic actor / song and dance man etc. National Treasure.

Please tell me that the episodes are being rebroadcast or shown on another platform like Hulu or Paramount+? Unfortunately we missed the episodes on Friday 21st.
"The Dick Van Dyke Show" isn't on Paramount+, which surprises me. So, I don't think they'll be added to that anytime soon. I don't think they're online yet either. Hulu doesn't have it listed either. Maybe someday! I noticed someone uploaded clips on UA-cam from the episodes, but they're not as good as the HD version. I hope you can find a way to watch it! It was a great special.

The show was corruption and proved that Van Dyke could fit in with Disney.

@@kjricardo249 It was a lie about society. For starters, Jackie Kennedy's physical appearance was not worth glorifying with Laura Petrie. Reiner didn't even hint behind-the-scenes dirty laundry in the television world. Alan Brady being bald, which was perhaps the furthest they went against social norms, really proved little. Even Kennedy's predecessor Presidents Truman and Eisenhower were bald.
