    What impresses me is THE TONE! I would have thought it was a steel tricone resonator.

    Well, I don't think my can is big enough to copy exactly, but you did show my that I could cut the bottom off to use as access for wiring and attaching the neck, so great video!

    There’s enough strings on there for 2 oil can guitars lol
    Sounds amazing and love the color.

    Awesome! I've been working on my first guitar build for over a year now! It'll be be made from driftwood & an old cabinet door...if I ever get the free time to make it!

    Finally someone who’s not just cutting a cheap strat and shoving it into a tin can

    awesome! sounds like that with no electronics! I love it!! I have a great can I want to turn into a uke, and I'll keep this for design ideas. I know it's louder because of steel strings, but the design is really nice. I'd love your shop.

    Good choice placing the camera on the workbench when you're banging away at the fret board.

      Jan Fredrik Leversund thanks for noticing! :) it’s a deliberate artistic choice of a cinematic technique, so that viewers can have a more direct experience of a fret being hammered into place.

      The neck goes all the way through, set back from the front of the oilcan. There is no bracing.

    Hello impressive i would like to us what is the color blue in the middle of neck?

    • @dose1730
      @dose1730 5 років тому

      ArahDhelle Ferrer hey, I think you’re talking about the trussrod. It is there to adjust the relief of the neck, you can Google it for more details

    • @dose1730
      @dose1730 5 років тому +1

      Lost & Sonny nope. It’s a through neck that is set back inside the oilcan with blocks on the top and bottom.

    Do you believe that can be with a jerry can?

    • @dose1730
      @dose1730 4 роки тому

      I know people have made electrics out of them, that should work well of course. As for acoustics like the one that I made here - I’m not sure how well the steel they are made from vibrates, if they are to stiff or not. But in my opinion the not knowing and experimenting is part of the fun, so just go for it!
