What makes a cover song great is when the artist takes a song and changes it to make it their own, in a way that nobody else could have imagined. This is one of the greatest covers of a popular song that anyone has ever done.
And on the sax… it is the nephew of “The Big Man” Clarence Clemens. Clarence sadly passed away and his nephew took over his spot. Bruce refused to play Clarence’s big solo song “Jungleland” for many years after his passing. There is a YT video of the day that Jake joined the band and played for his Uncle and played the solo flawlessly. Very emotional.
Bruce made this song immortal and bigger than the BeeGees where in their lifetime, even Barry Gibb react to this with his own version from I´m on Fire during his US Tour 2014 as an answer to this from The Boss himself also great cover ❤
You guys aren't the only ones blown away by The Boss's amazing cover, I heard Barry Gibb was too when he heard it. Praise doesn't get any better than that.
I love this cover. Like his own song, Dancing in the Dark, its a lonely lament from the songs character and I think Bruce tried to capture it. 10/10 for Charlie and you guys for covering it.
4:21 Hey guys. Great job! Love the fact that a younger generation are getting turned on to the greatest rock and roll performer of all time. Check out Racing In The Street from Live At The Parsmount. One of his earliest and all time greats. Keep on rockin
If you want to hear a good Bruce cover, check out their version of Don’t Change from INXS. Tom Morello plays on it. Also, one of his more famous covers is Trapped.
I'm so effing jealous! That must have been incredible. It was so obvious the moment the crowd recognized the song. It must have been awesome to see the string section when the lights came up!
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 we had heard snippets of it when we were outside waiting to be lead in. But not the whole song. The violinists also came out when they did New York City Serenade also fantastic.
Bruce does a wonderful covering Bee Gees here! However, since you are on the track of my favourite band in history, why don´t you do a reaction to one of their song? I would love a reaction to Bee Gees- Lonely Days (Live In Las Vegas 1997)
Omg, you guys are drunk! Lol. Thank you si much for doing my requests. I've got more lined up fir you, but I'm waiting till the first of the month. Lol
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 I know too funny! I requested Ghost of Tom Joad with Morello. I'm waiting for them to do it. I never saw this Stayin Alive video, it was awesome!
@mbtrama I hope they do the one from Anaheim, the official video. I was at that one. It was the first time Morello played ot with Bruce. Bruce and Stevie's glances were awesome. Thry too could not believe what they were seeing. I think it's even better than the Rock Hall performance.
@mbtrama Hey, check out the Warning! They are three sisters out of Mexico, and they ROCK! Start with their song Evolve from the 2023 MTV VMAs. I've niw seen them in Pomona, LA, and Tokyo! Lol. I'm seeing them in Guadalajara, Cologne, and London next year! They are phenomenal. They are 19, 22, and 24, and they've been at it for eleven years.

AND that kids is how you put on a show..... and that's why he is "THE BOSS"
bruce has done a TON of covers over the years, but this is hands down (IMO) his best one
Nice one guys, I think he played that in front of the Brisbane crowd to show respect to the Bee Gee's who came from Redcliffe in Brisbane
They actually talked about that gthe intro.
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 I don't usually listen to their dribble at the beginning
Great reaction. That’s why they call him the “Boss.”

Hie did a great cover of Royals by Lorde a couple of years back.
That was this same tour when he was in New Zealand, her home
@@tomward6689 Blimey, I really have lost track of time. How on earth is that song already over a decade old?
Oh, I LOVE that one! Lorde cried when she found out that he had opened his show with her song. I plan on requesting that one too.
React to New York City serenade live from Rome.
