really missing the videos are you coming back anytime soon??
[Andy D] Apologies about my distorted audio for this one, there must have been an issue somewhere that I missed when recording.
I thought this movie was excellent. Frances McDormand is always wonderful and Oscar winning caliber, and I have been a fan of the always incredible Sam Rockwell since forever. Second only to him and his family, I think I was the most excited and happy to see his win of the Academy Award, and I loved his acceptance speech. It's too bad Woody Harrelson couldn't win one too, because I thought his performance was also deserving.
Frances McDormand has a small but memorable part in one of my favorite movies, Lone Star (1996).
Where are you???
In Bruges. Is one of my favourites. And the guard
[Andy H] I didn't even realise The Guard was Martin McDonagh! Don't know how I missed that
@@AndyAndIFilmClub the character in guard was really a swimmer who came second at the Olympics. I was sad enough to look it up. Seems a nugget of truth was a catalyst for the guard too.

Any time you can have Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell in a movie together its' going to be an amazing film. Although for me, in this the tonal shifts were a bit too much. The script in places kind of doesn't hit. All this being said this is a very good film, I just had a few nit picks. Great job once again. I cannot wait until next week. Take care and have a great week.
[Andy H] Definitely some of the best actors working today. I do wonder if Mcdonagh will keep following this Conesque approach to tone or if he will eventually make something that leans entirely one way or the other, full comedy or full drama
