I am so glad I came across this video. I thought I was the only person that had trouble with the zz plant I ordered from Ansel & Ivy. When it first arrived, it was so small and I had to trim it quite a bit. It’s growing now thankfully but I’ll definitely have to find another place to get plants from. This video was extremely helpful 🙂.
@@TylerMossop I've ordered all types of plants from both. From Gabriella, the majority of plants were philodendrons, calathea, ferns, syngonium, and allocasia. From Planterina, I've ordered peace lilies, syngonium, calathea, pothos and peperomia. At this time of year, I would definitely order a heat pack or purchase winter insurance or hold off until temperatures are a bit warmer.
It's so ridiculous to pay such a high price for a plant online. I buy my plants locally & at a low price. Larger the plant is, the more expensive it well be. As I had mentioned, I buy my plants small & at a low price. I enjoy watching my purchased plants grow large over the years with the care I give them. It's so satisfying watching them grow large and healthy. The joys of being an 'Plant Parent'.
I have always been leery about ordering plants online. After watching your video my concerns were warranted. While the times we are currently living in ordering online would be easier than going in person but it's a little pricey...
I’ve also ordered for Ansel & Ivy and had the same experience. Unfortunately I didn’t do my homework first and ordered five plants at one time, I’ve had a issue with each one. Several of the plant have arrived dead and one pot arrived cracked. It’s been about three weeks and I’m still waiting on replacement plants. Customer service hasn’t been helpful and when I left a review on Instagram about all the trouble I’m having they blocked me. I wish I would’ve watched your video first. I feel like I wasted a lot of money and time.
Wow! I had a similar experience with the customer service as well. I’m sorry you had that experience! Ultimately, I was left feeling the same way as you.
I can confirm that Ansel and Ivy have horrible customer service because I used to work for them. They are completely unprofessional and FYI they gave you a large pot and put a medium plant . Wouldn't ever buy anything from them. Buyer Beware
Not sure how Ansel & Ivy is still in business. Wish I had come across your video prior to ordering from them. Plant and nect 3 replacements arrived to me dead. Feel completely scammed for the price I paid!
Dude, ordering plants online is a huge gamble. Theirs so many variables that take place in the grand scheme of things. I highly don’t recommend it. On your care videos I do have to give you some credit. As a botanist there was still a lot of things you don’t mention but that’s to be expected from someone who didn’t study in the field. I wouldn’t mind doing a video chat with you to show you my set up and go over things that I wouldn’t like to leave in the comment. Still great videos and keep up the hard work.
I ordered from LivelyRoot once for a birds of paradise. The beautiful leaves were cut much smaller becuz the tip was damaged…and they refused to replace….. I really don’t recommend
I was notified of one of your comments, but can't see it in the thread now either! It wasn't me, please feel free to comment and share on any or all of my videos Beth! : )
Tyler need to up his game on video editing. Spent first three minutes repeating himself and looking nervous and haltingly speaking into the camera. Not a good sign of good delivery and keeping it short and sweet. Either you need to overcome some stage fright or use a good teleprompter and script, I don’t know. A lot of good UA-camr certainly write their scripts down and memorize it. I hope you do so. Otherwise the content is good. Thank you!

So glad you found it useful!! ...and thanks for sharing your comment!!
I've had excellent results from Gabriella Plants and Planterina. Plants have been well packaged and arrived in excellent health.
Kasey, I don't disagree...I haven't ordered from either other those places. What plants did you pick up? Any recommendations? Ty

It’s not any different from ordering your groceries online. Although I always prefer picking out my own meat and veggies.
@@TylerMossop Yes I do groceries online as well but veggies or fruits I have to go in the store to pick for myself.
