That note of yours, F#2, though it may not be particularly low pitched for you, it sounds like it's in the middle of your range, despite the fact that it sounds like a note in the low range for someone like myself. I know that most bass singing fans don't care about an F#2 because they focus more on the extreme lows of many basso profondo singers, such as a G1 or something like that. But I care about it because it shows the uniqueness of the bass voice and the difference between baritones and basses.

For me this song captures the feeling of spirituals sung by slaves. I believe the lyrics were first published in 1858, before the civil war. Beautiful performance in the stair well.
