I've a real comment: Make a few timelapses of these trees. We have the technology. Just set up a camera to take a picture of one of this species in a suboptimal lighting position every half hour and just leave it there for a year. We'll then see if the trees can, in fact, 'walk'. This video was basically just a 🤷♂️, let's get some answers.
@@Ultraviolet532 yes, but batteries can last several years with minimal use, timelapses are taking a picture every hour or day or however long you set it for, where all you need to power in the interim is the timer.
I will say the reality !! When the tree doesn't gets enough sunlight its new roots ( stilt roots) starts to come and grow outside while the old roots which is outside gets rotten and dies. So the new roots doesn't come out straightly ,it goes inclined ...like to the side ( I mean not straight connect with stem but a little side ( just like when we move our leg forward to walk ) it's roots grow forward ...so it appears to move a few cm.Again when it doesn't gets enogh sunlight it does the process and it moves... IT DOESNT WALK LIKE US. IT JUST MOVES A FEW CM AND ITS UNIQUE!! 💜💜💜💜 This is the reason I guess so.. so Bye and explore more 👋😌💜
It's crazy how these things can be so easy to prove or disprove but because they're located in poor countries experiments aren't done on them so much. It's like in Yoro, Honduras where it "rains fish."
It 'walks' up to a couple meters a year. The roots do break off as necessary. It's real & really really slow. It takes years to see the difference in their movement.
@@justintodd9165 after looking more into it. There's no actual evidence they do move. The fact that there isn't a full time lapse online makes me think they don't
Came from idk sterling.
Same

Please learn the meaning of the word "mythical".
It's not mythical
@@anakha1705 Precisely my point. Things that exist are not mythical.
@@jjdecani oh...yea I actually didn't get the meaning at first 🤭😅
The trees are real. The 'waking' is real, just really really slow like a couple meters a year.
We have walking palms on my property in Drake Bay, Costa Rica and the locals all tell me they move !
Really?
No the roots whould have been broken if it walkted
They die with old roots to walk n make new ones that pull
