What's with all the bars on the windows. Is crime really bad in Greece??. I've noticed that the villas in Spain also have bars all over the windows.

This is a good question. We can say that it is more a tradition in Spain than a security measure. The bars also provide advantages which the security glass doesn’t. For example, you can let the windows open to ventilate your property while you are out of home. Furthermore, the insurance companies provide additional discounts if the property has security measures. Finally, it is more about feeling secure.
