I have just spent the month of February 2024 in Denia. The property prices have certainly gone up since this video was made. You have to expect to pay €190k for one bed., €250k+ for anything bigger. This February was unusually warm, with temp fluctuating between 17-23 degrees. Not as bustling as summer, obviously, with many of the restaurants closed, and nothing in the way of tourist cruises around the area. Denia has magnificent sports facilities, and even in winter there is enough to do. I’ll be back February ‘25.
Hi Terry you always have to be here to look for property of course. But I was in Denia a couple of weeks ago and there were plenty of places open for you to eat. This year has been particularly mild with little rain which is why we have a water problem. By the way I found online a one bed apartment €93k and a 2 bed at €138 so cheap prices are still available. Thank you for watching, if you are not subscribed please do so. Regards Barry
hello mr barry I have already sat down at the cafe where you are it makes me funny to see this corner again looking forward to seeing other videos. I am writing to you with the translators
Well Shaun if we give people the right information maybe they will make the right decisions. I know you give a lot of good info to people on your channel 🙏🙏
Hello Chris, well I hope this video has been of help, if you have any questions I will try and answer them. If you are not subscribed please subscribe now, thanks 🙏 🙏
Donde vivir en España, Denia, seria genial se ve muy acogedor, muchas tiendas, bello, me gusta el lugar donde esran los yates, la marina la playa es bonita.
b.t.w. How about the "ghost town in winter" factor? I heard Denia is relatively good in that regard. But how is it in reality? Are many restaurants closed in winter?
Hola, yes in winter a few close for building works decorations etc. But Denia keeps busy, lots of retail to look at and they are open all the time. Plenty of choice for restaurants, and being the central hub of the area a lot of people around. Hope that helps, thanks 🙏 for watching.
Hi, thanks for the video just question please, what about el verger and bellereguard?how they are in winter time and if it worthy to look for property there? thanks very much
Bellreguard is always quiet it’s so tiny, Pedreguer is not much different all year round, and that’s because it’s a normal community. Hope that helps Barry
I was absolutely sweating 😓 I had been been walking around then sat down and could not stop leaking. Many thanks for watching the video, it’s appreciated 🙏🙏
Very useful video. Thank you very much. I'm from Germany and might move to Denia soon. Just a small question: Having all these restaurants and Bars in town, are there some Pubs where you can make some new friends. I mean where the expats really go and meet.
Hi Tony, not my normal type of video but the DJI camera camera is excellent. Lots of expats of all nationalities here in Dénia. If you are a outgoing person you will have no problem making new friends, you have one in me straight away when you get here. Regards Barry
@@AllAboutSpainbyBarryHaylor Thank you Barry. By the way, I was also thinking of Alicante. But it seems to me Dénia is not a very big city and maybe more suitable for pensioners. We will see.
Yes Dénia is bigger, Dénia is quite sprawling, it takes in the port and marina, and goes along the coast as well. There is a lot more life in Dénia as well.
The trains run or ran to Alicante, not just to Benidorm. Do you know what you are talking about? I am not convinced that you know Spain in any depth. Classic English man abroad I would guess.
The trains are not running, they are still putting new tracks, and if you remember I said along the coast to Benidorm. But of course there is always someone who knows more, or thinks they do. But thanks for watching

Brilliant baz 👍🏼
Thanks buddy 🙏
Speaking about tax, if one is living on overseas pension it seems there is not much burden in terms of that.
You have to register either the UK 🇬🇧 or Spain to pay your tax liability. I am registered in Spain. Thanks for watching 🙏

There is growing market in Denia still! And my favourite house is a Red Cross old house in front of the port. And you can’t buy it)))
One of the nicest locations around our area, at the end of the month I will be looking at Gandia, thanks for commenting 🙏🙏
I want to buy the castle
With newer construction homes and higher EU building standards, shouldn’t homes be better insulated?
Well what they should do is one thing, the Spanish I find do what the Spanish want to do.
Thanks for your comment 🙏
Dear Barry, would you say Denia is bigger than Gandía or vice versa?
Yes Dénia is bigger, Dénia is quite sprawling, it takes in the port and marina, and goes along the coast as well. There is a lot more life in Dénia as well.
Were and when the hell did you get those prices? In 1977?
Online
All prices for all the different areas were found online.
Gandía is cheap, Denia is not and people are not always outdoors because It is cold inside.
Yes I know been here 14 years, but thanks for that👍
Very pretty 😘
Thank you Szilvia 🌹🌹🌹🌹
