- This video is a FX-AUDIO DAC-X6 with beyerdynamic´s DT 990 PRO 250 ohm headphones power consumption test (124mA) with jumpers (on the internal board) set for high power.
Changing inside jumpers increase volume but don´t solve hisses problem.
The DAC-X6 original power supply is enough (1,5A) but this DAC came with some hisses problems.
Is this a faulty one you are testing? This should be way more than enough to power them from what I have read on this unit. They should be able to power up to 600ohm headphones. So I am confused why it wouldn't do this little 250. Could you explain? I ask because others have said this unit will power it just fine for a loud experience. Just trying to find answers. Thanks.
Yes, a faulty one, there was some hisses over the sound. I turned it back and bought a Fiio K5.
About powering high impedance, it works but if you like to listen at high volumes you will be disappointed.
@@MSPalazzuoli Okay, Thank you for responding. I was trying to find some information out for a friend and myself. He has just ordered this unit with a new pair of DT990 Pros and we had seen the ohm power should have been enough for them and I just wanted to be sure. Primary use for him is going to be hearing his audio from his console off the TV with it connected there.
if i buy this this dac with the dt990 pro would i lose any sound detail or only volume of the sound
only volume, but it´s acceptable for most people
is fxaudio enough to power a 80ohms heaphone loudly? like a dt 770 for example
Opa, ele tocou um fone 250ohms razoavelmente bem então um de 80ohms deve ficar muito bom.
@@MSPalazzuoli Translated Portuguese- Oops, he played a 250ohm phone reasonably well so an 80ohm one should be pretty good
that is 124mA... not 1.24A
My mistake, fixed, thanks.
@@MSPalazzuoli :)
Is the fx dac enough to move the dt 990 pro?
Hi rene, it depends on what you consider enough, if an average volume is good for you then fx dac is ok, but if you like to hear loudly it is not enough, I recommend the FiiO K5 Pro.
