I was able to find an international version of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 on ebay for $170 and ordered it before I found out about this tablet. I think I might try to return/cancel the Samsung and go with this one instead; the lack of support and Android updates are the only things that give me pause with the Alldocube. But it will be worth the gamble, I think. It is so odd to me that Samsung (and even Google with their new tablet/hub) are so averse to the small form-factor for the American market. I like you in depth and honest video, I watch your 18mins video without skipping hehe. But for suggestion you better change your black table to white or light color table. For us to easily see the phone or table you are using.
Thank you for the review! And I agree with you, I like 8" one-hand tablet. And for those memory is very important. If not for just 4GB RAM and nowadays slow WIFI, I could still use my now 5 year old Huawei MediaPad. Thus thanks again!
Hey,, I just subbed!! You review is real life usage, and I'm here for it. Keep doing this type of approach, very informative. Not many do this anymore.
Ikr. Then again if you barely stream Netflix it won't be a major con, but sucks that they decided to throw it out there in the first place without Widevine L1. Should've just released the NFE in the beginning or an iPlay 60 Mini Pro with L1 support. This just seems like bad timing
@@joelconolly5574 waiting for it to release here locally like the first one, then I'll get the nfe version since I have a netflix sub, then give this one to my mom she'll only use it to play puzzle and bubble pop games 😅
That's only a problem if you stream though, correct? So you could download in advance at 1080p and it wouldn't be an issue, or would it still only download at 720p?
Just bought one because of watching this review. Its a great price and 60hz is not ideal but as long as yhe apps and screen response are good than i should be happy.
This is on my To Buy list.. I want a small tablet (not 10" + !!!) To tote around, use as a reader, etc., with a decent amount of RAM and more storage than 64 GB. Finally found an affordable one!!!
This feels like the Android version of the 8inch iPad. Just wish there were more cases options. And while it has L3 SD playback, UA-cam can do up to 1440p.
So far my 2 big complaints are 1. No ear speaker so can't really talk like a phone but speaker phone so everybody can hear the other person. 2. that 1 speaker phone sounds rather tinny. 3. no fingerprint reader so cannot quickly unlock phone. If I can figure a way to overcome this, then this is an awesome mini tablet phone.
I just bought one and i have a Samsung Tab S9 Ultra. You couldn't give me an Apple Product. Price has nothing to do with it. I also have a Galaxy S24 Ultra 1TB, an i9 64 GB RAM laptop workstation and a Xeon PC Tower workstation with 256 GB RAM. If I wanted anything from Apple I could easily afford it. And IT would be a loaded Mac Pro (not Macbook Pro). But, as i said, i want nothing to do with Apple.
Update: I'm still using my Aldocube 50 mini pro every day. If there was an 8 inch S series Galaxy tablet (with an S-Pen) I'd dunno it in a second. But, there isn't one. If the 60 mini pro doesn't come out soon, I'll buy the Headwolf with Android 14. These tablets are very functional, and cost about the same as a nice lunch.
Shout out Kanye! I am about to buy this tablet. Do you still used it? How it is for now. Everything for me is great, except for maybe software and hardware worries Price and size is unbeatable
Sorry missed the price on this. You threw out a bunch of numbers. The mini android i have right now for my teleprompter is choking lol. I tried to boot it up the other day after the battery died and it seriously took over 30 min to boot. I gave up and installed the prompt software on my kids ipad so i could get my vid done. I cant really complain much since i think the tablet cost me like $25-30 lol. But would love to look into something a bit more reliable.
I think an Alldocube may be my next budget tablet. That one is too small for my tastes, plus I wish it had more LTE bands. My Umidigi tablet from a few years ago has all of the bands, yet the LTE reception generally sucks. My Lenovo P 11 Pro Gen 2 is actually great, but it's WiFi only. Have to use up all of my hotspot if I'm traveling. Alldocube looks like my best bet. Teclast had poor to no LTE reception unfortunately. Have you tried a Sim Card in yours? If so, how was the reception?
I searched and searched and you're right. There just isn't any other good 8-inch tablet in this class! The household names like Samsung and Lenovo need to up their games and make a small MIDRANGE tablet. I just bought mine today on Amazon flash sale. Got the 128GB Pro version for 125.99 but they did have the 256GB like in this video for $140 on sale as well. I just didn't need the extra storage for my purposes. Super excited to test it out! My goal was to pair it with my Gamesir G8 and Playstation remote play. I was gonna go with the non pro version initially but it wasn't on sale (I think you can get it for 70) so this was a better deal and now I have a legit tablet with enough ram to use it for things other than remote play for minimal extra cost.
I am also into game streaming ( moonlight ) with the gamesire g8 galellio . I would like to know if this tablet can be paired with the controller without mods .
I wish there were mentions to include release dates of product, EOL for security and OS support, with price. I'm in the medical/caregiver field and need a tablet to do my work (emails, paperwork, reports, medical, power points and training videos, etc) but it needs the security and software updates. It needs to be easily portable and move around with me in multiple scenarios in the workplace. And since I would only be using it for work, I obviously don't want to spend much. What tablet would you possibly recommend for my situation?
That’s the hard part. The right choice is an iPad mini But that’s not cheap These odd brand androids will not give you the security updates you need sadly
you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a great tablet! this device looks wicked from a design and specs point of view. And I bought the 11" Xiaomi Pad 6 w/ *GB of RAM and 5GM extension via the SSD. It's my favorite device that I've ever bought. Thinking of picking this up too for something that is very light to hold for extended periords. I wish the speaker situation was a bit better, but not a deal breaker. Curious to know if split screen works in their OS overlay.
How are the colors? Is it neutral? is it cool or warm? I got a Nokia 8 inch earlier this year but the screen color is on the cool side and there is a lot of banding from the lack of color range. How is it for reading ebooks from reading apps like Libby or hoopla? Even kindle or nook? And can you link the screen protector please? The tempered glass you mentioned?! Thank you!!
The lower 4gb of RAM on the A9 really makes it suffer. I bought both and used them side-by-side and the A9 functions noticeably slower and with more lag. The only things the A9 has going for it is the screen aspect ratio and the fact that it is made by Samsung so you will get better and longer software and security updates. Other than those two things, the Alldocube truly is superior (better screen resolution, more RAM, more storage, more overall performance).
I really like this tablet. It perform good. I dont play game but it feels snappy swtching apps. I use it to watch my movies, youtube, and reading online comics.
