I removed the main board and replaced it with a receiver for my transmitter (FS-GT3B) and a single 10A brushed ESC for both motors, took the steering mechanism apart and changed it to a servo inside the casing using the original servo arm, and changed the battery to a 2S Li-Ion, and this thing has REALLY changed!! I now have fully proportional steering and throttle, as well as the extra power from the Li-Ion, and my model goes absolutely anywhere now!! $5 for the receiver, another $5 for the ESC, the servo is one I had lying around (a larger 16g one with metal gearing), and the battery I made out of 2 old Nokia batteries!! I also added 4 SMD type white LEDs on the top fake light cluster to make it look even better!!

I plan to use this with a Gopro and light mounted on it to scope for leaky water pipes and other issues in the crawlspace underneath my house. Should be pretty ideal and for 30 bucks, given the functionality, you just can't beat it.
I have bough one of those HB 666 Rock Crawlers and in green color as well. These things are comparable if not better to the well known Maisto Rock Crawler Extreme. The must do's with this Crawler are getting yourself some super glue and glue the tires to the rims, so you get all the power and no skid from the rubber tire, also a bigger capacity battery wich is easy to find and cheap. I can say that it can take a 7.4v LiPo that you can find easily as well for drones, but the speed gets so ridiculously high that it's almost a drawback rather than a benefit. 4.8v batteries give it adecuate speed/power ratio. I'm having a lot of fun as well with this RC, it's a recommended purchase from me.

+RC Hunter I can not confirm for sure, since i did not take apart any of the motor enclosures. But i am almost certain that they are very low geared 180 size motors, the bottom side of the motor that can be seen underneat is flat, and that is common to all 180 size motors as far as i know.

Yea he bashes, rolls, and drives straight into bushes, and guess what? I don't care! Sadly I like the toy grade stuff even more than my axial line up. I get a wicked satisfaction from upgrading the hell out of toys

Should take the circuit board out and coat it with liquid tape before hitting the puddles. It also has an outlet at 5v on the board for lights, lol.

i have a 2wd hobby grade RC that I run and do dirt track and gravel drifting in and my 5yo daughter has showed interest in getting an RC aswell however she is quite young and lacks the ability to actively run throttle and steering at the same time smoothly so I have looked at one of these for her as a learner car... wanted to get something cheap that doesn't matter if she bashes and still has enough power and clearance that it wont just spent 90% of the time stuck on gravel rocks... would you consider this worth my time and money to get her? our RC time has turned into our own little father daughter bonding time and I don't want to lose that just because she doesn't have her own truck to drive with me
This is an upgraded version of the Miasto crawler which came out few years ago. There are easy mods you can do to this. I have one its fun out of the box and more fun after some lil mods.. changing the motors to more powerful one is easy and if you know how to solder you can add connectors for better batteries.. and adding lights to it makes it look cooler ever more..
Just got this for my son as a Christmas present but I'm having a problem, the indicator light on the transmitter blinks red 2 minutes after he drives it then the truck stops working, the battery in the truck is fully charged so I don't understand why I'm getting this problem. How long is this truck suppose to run on a full charge and what can be causing this problem?
Seeing as the battery pack is only nicad and not lipo do you think it would be ok to convert it to run on standard AA batteries? A set of Eneloop pros would offer nearly 4 times the mah. I know that lipo batteries have MUCH greater current but as far as I know nicad isn't very different from nimh in terms of internal resistance so in theory an AA conversion could provide much better runtime with a cheap and fast charging power source, a couple of sets of eneloops could potentially get hours of runtime. I've very tempted to experiment with this mod, if the standard battery pack was lipo I wouldn't even dream of doing it but as it's nicad I'm not sure there would be much of a negative impact on performance, just a greatly increased run time, thoughts?
I would just glue on some bigger wheels😆. I have gotten a similar crawler but I put an actual hobby grade esc and reciver with a 3s so I am actually able to do some crawling. Kinda suprised I have not blown it up with the 3s yet i like trippled its stock speed.
It needs more weight to create more friction, As the toy is lightweight it cant create enough friction due to which wheels loose grip on the ground while climbing up.
I was using this toy and it was perfectly working fone. However i used a higher voltage battery and since then it has stopped working.pls advise if i can change the chip inside the car and where do i get one?

I also have this car and after using a couple of months its not going straight i pull that trigger back but suddenly it veers left rather than going straight And if i use the adjusting switch to left or right it goes to that particular direction only. I have an rc car like that but it's blu. Howww did it's life gets longer. The Ni Cd battery is 700 mah which it's short lifed car.

Sorry, you are not correct. It needs a propotional digital electronic speed controller. Not more weight.

It is not 2 hrs or 15kmh it takes up to 6 hours to charge for 15-20 minutes of use when charged. At most it is a few kmh.
