Great video. I have a new thermocouple on the way. The "official" Traeger video had many more steps, including taking off the bottom plate under the hopper to cut a ziptie that holds the wires together. Curious if I need to do all those extra steps. I've never taken my Ironwood 885 apart before so I'm thinking I'll have to take that bottom plate off.

Danny…I have a brand new Silverton. The ambient temperature reads 40 degrees high. Probe reads 250, while ThermoWorks Smoke ambient probe reads 210. The meat probes are within 1 degree of each other. All research I’ve found is that it is a known problem that Traeger won’t solve. Is this true? Is there a way to solve the ambient Traeger probe reading high? Thank you.

Does the grill have 2 groomets? One in the exterior and 1 in the interior?
Mine fell off and had to order another. It came with 2. Thx!
