Great looking watch. I was planning to get a 143 but since Seiko came out with these, I now want to get this exact model in black. SPB453. Thanks for the review.
Personally no doubt the look of these 62mas are great 👍 but really for the price or any of those over 1k watches Seiko need to put at least high beat movement, ceramic insert and improve the bracelet. Put at least on the fly adjustment...I know they can do it, they did it on Astron series.
The movement is fine for the price point considering the ISO certification and build quality of the watch. Ceramic bezel is a design choice and doesn’t make it more expensive or luxurious. The bracelet is very nice on these only complaint I have is the clasp however the slight discount you can get on this you can get an awesome aftermarket clasp
@hammalamiri12 well 21600 for over 1k especially in 2024 is a little outdated i think, would be nice to have at least 4hz. Also yes ceramic is optional...but there is no denying it will cost seiko less to produce? So why are we getting cut cost instead of the up ante stuff from Seiko, while their price keep getting up and its no longer the value seiko as we know before. As for the bracelet its the same thing. How stingy they are with the micro, plus look at their swiss counter parts and even some of the micro brand under 1k watches. They are already using on the fly adjustment. For us consumers isnt better to have at least all those features before dropping our wallet for 1k or more.
Great watch, never been so close to pull the trigger on one. Don't bother that much about the 3hz movement but the bracelet and specificly the divers extension still pushes me off. The date window is perfect to me.
I tried this on the other day alongside the SPB143. This felt much nicer on the wrist as it wore a lot slimmer. The bracelet felt decent but I still feel the endlinks dont match the case very well though and the lack of a toolless microadjustment system is really not acceptable at this price point when you have Christopher Ward, Zelos, Wise and hundreds of other microbrands offering this. Also feel this would have looked better as a no date
@welcomewrist This annoys me... Today I looked at the Seiko SPB207 and it is a tragedy. End likns move sideways but also up and down by 0.5mm or more. Seiko quality is random. If not problems with alignment, then problems with end links or the accuracy of the mechanism. And I like some Seiko ones :( but the quality control is dramatically low.
Just bought this last week. Love it! Great size , comfort and quality. Bezel lines up perfectly too :) The lume is not good compared to other Seiko I’ve had but still acceptable.
I have recently purchased the blue version. My only gripe is the 6R movement and the -15/+25 seconds per day rating. It is really not good enough for a watch in this price bracket.
I really like it, can't go wrong with a black diver. Classic and timeless.
@@arthur-l7d1g Easy to wear and easy on the eyes.

They do look amazing. I’m considering the black dial as well

Good release from Seiko, smaller case looks sleek
@@pearlflubber They're making steps in the right direction.
Great, please compared for spb383 side by side

Have they fixed the end link or are it still loose.
Still a little loose

@@pawekwas8815 Me also. I so hope that Seiko can have the quality control that meansures up with their reputation.
It looks like an authentic seiko, the bezel is misaligned 😂
Looks great but Seiko needs to step up their bracelet/clasp game. Many micro brands do it better for less $$
Who?
@@mikebertsch8747literally who doesn't

@mikebertsch8747 Christopher Ward, Formex, Monta, Zelos, WISE, Ginault and loads more all have better bracelets and clasps at a similar price range

I have bought one of these and it's running at +5s a day which is better than my Rolex Sea Dweller ever managed !!
I too hope that Seiko offers more chronometer-rated mechanical watches for their line up.
Mine is running about +2 seconds! Super impressed despite the rating
Can you please do something like a "week on the wrist" ?
@@hephep22314 I will release a full review in a couple of weeks.
@@welcomewristsounds good man!
Splendid materials which are true splendid
Who’s ever going to use the extension?
The guys that wear their hats backwards with the sunglasses perched on top of them.
Excellent Sir..can you put a background music link in the reply ❤️
It's Rich Men's Jazz by Serenity Have.
Its ok but theres no way id pay over a grand for it , imo its worth maybe half that at five hundred and fifty quid
Opinions are like Arse holes everyone has one !
Is that blue ar coating?
It looks like even the Prospex SBDC101 / SPB143 is now packaged with the white cushion and boxes. Can you confirm this or these are very good fakes?
It could be Seiko's new packaging going forward, however, I'm not 100% sure, as I'm not affiliated with any Seiko authorised dealer.
Too bad you can’t see the movement
Only "Automatic 3 days diver's"? I wish they add "sapphire glass, stainless steel, screw down crown" and some other stuff to the dial.
it does look really stupid right, the typography/font looks so cheap too.
Sometimes unboxing aren’t worth it. Box is just as boring as the watch.
I absolutely hate that addition of 3 days on the dial.
Still prefer the 143
@@anthonytan582 It's a winning formula.
143 all day over this….
For its looks, movement, and build quality, I can say that this is an overpriced watch LOL!
