Welcome to my 2024 custom planner flip through! Let me know if I missed any links or updates. Let me know if you're using a customized planner this year or not!
Your 72 year spread did freak me out because I'm turning 60 LOL I am feeling so much pressure to get all the fun creative things done in my life before it's over. I already waited too long to be a painter because my hand isn't as steady as I used to be nor is my vision as sharp! I am so ready to retire but I don't want to be poor and retired. The further along I get in my first draft of my first novel the longer I think it's going to take me LOL I am loving my Happy Planner Homesteader classic size even though it's wire-o binding it doesn't bother me. I also bought the Big size happy planner to plan my writing this year, which is a lie I told myself because I just wanted another planner to put stickers in 😂 I'm going to try to put Publish & Thrive in my budget this year. I think it will speed up my process. Thanks for all you do for other writers Sarra
I know that spread can be tough to see! Sorry about that! But at the same time, I personally find value in the awareness of time passing. But so many people live long full lives well beyond 72! Excited to hear more about your novel!
@HeartBreathings I am already 7 years past the 72 year form. I must have missed something, what do you mark it for? I plan to live another 11 years at least, if the Lord terries. That will give me a lifespan of at least as long as my Mom & Dad.
Your planner is STUNNING! I made my own this year, too. It's a true A5 planner (not half letter) and discbound. Every single piece is custom. Currently, on the hunt for an affordable cover. One thing that I'm finding helpful is to have a page or 2 to take note to what my loved ones mention they like/want throughout the year so I'm not scrambling for gifts during birthdays/holidays.
Four thousand weeks! I listened to the audiobook at the start of this month. I liked how he described the reluctance to do important work...that resonated with me, big time.
Very cool. I love that you included Sky's planner stuff. She's one of my favorites from the originals I know online. It's nice of you to help with links too. 💖 What's funny is I liked your tab sticker labels. Lol! I'm going to have to check out more of your videos. ☺️
I always love watching your planner videos, even though I do digital planning myself. I think it's fascinating that your brain says "I have this page / spread and I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet, I'll play around with it," whereas my brain says, "I need a specific thing, so I'm gonna find / make that specific thing." The idea of having something in my planning system that "I'm not sure how I'm going to use it yet" is just so foreign to me, but I'm glad it works for you!
This video is inspiring me to do SO MUCH and update/adjust my planner to be what I want. I always feel so lost and confused as to what to do and how to make a planner that I really like, use, and that helps me accomplish goals. I wish I could just copy and paste your planner to mine haha I tend to get overwhelmed with all of the options, and things to print and create. I will be watching this again and again as I work to create a planner that works for me. Thank you for the inspiration and all your ideas! :) I appreciate it!!
I love the happy planner flexibility! It allows you to add or take away from it as you please! You can take your daily pages out write on them as you please put them back in the planner. I like that we can take out all of the months, except three., to allow for space in the planner, and then, as we complete a month, we can take that one out and put another month in. I hope you enjoy your new planner setup and all the flexibility it allows you to be creative. ❤
I love your notebook and ideas.💡 Also, I like the long videos.😅 I’m off to a slow start too. I’m telling/teaching myself to keep writing, and ‘business’ things, in the front of my brain. 🧠 😆 Yes, conference vlogs. Continued blessings.
I love your setup!! And the color of the binder is so beautiful! 🥰 I've got two planners this year, a yearly and a monthly. The Yearly will track yearly things (haha) and the monthly I use to journal each month, keep track of monthly habits, monthly bible studies, my wordcount, etc... Each month I will log my monthly habits in my yearly planner, as well as total wordcounts for the year, how many books I've read this year. I setup my word of the year in the yearly (it's Determined) and created my goals from it, then broke each goal into steps to take, dividing them into 4 quarters. (I hope this is clear to understand 🤣 ) I have to say, this new system has been helping me immensely in my writing! I've written nearly every day since the 1st, and am up to about 18,000 words in my new novel! Thanks for sharing your new planner system Sarra!
Amazing set-up, it's definitely inspiring me to add some more trackers and other sections in my planner! I use a disc-bound system too and love being able to customize it. Would love to see conference vlogs if you're able to!
I moved my fitness and wellness goals into my 2in half letter sized disk planner. Jane's agenda has some good disc bound inserts. They might have some financial ones that work for you. I took the financial ones and tweaked them, adding to and subtracting from them and created ones that work really well for me. I love disc bound. I can do just about anything with it.
I have found a new use for your older videos! Working on Q2 which includes setting up my own business and getting a kickstarter up for a gardening planner, if I listen to one of your videos while working on other things motivates me.
I love watching your planner videos. When it comes to printing the planner pages, I print at 84% on letter size paper and then cut it down. It comes out the perfect size. I have a template with what I need to cut off. On most letter sizes, it's 7/8" on top and bottom; 3/4" on right side and 5/8" on the left (where the discs go). It always works perfect for me.
Yes, please let us sign up for reminders of the virtual writing retreat. Also, yes, please vlog the conferences and such but only if its not going to be overwhelming. 😍🥰
Love the set up. I laughed a little when I clicked on your video because I was working on moving into a discbound planner this morning and I took a break to watch the video.. I like having more flexibility with my physical planners. And customizing every month and/or season is something I usually do which was harder for me to do in the 6 ring binders. I hadn't thought about using the bigger discs, but now I'm considering it. Love, Light and Happiness to you and your family.
I've got a quarterly daily MakseLife that I'm trying to use for my overall life and the HB90 in my A5 rings. I'm struggling a little with having two calendars, and two places for all of my info, but I do enjoy having a place to keep track of my non HB90 goals for things like fitness, homeschool, household tasks, etc. I'm going to give it the full quarter before deciding whether or not to continue with two or just move my whole life back into HB90 Your planner is gorgeous! I'm glad the 7x9 size is working for you.
I've mentioned this a few times now, but I am brand new to keeping a written planner (previously just kept track of my appointments on my outlook or google calendar). Joining HB90 this year has been a new experience for me to use a physical written planner and I'm devoting the time to planning each week and daily pages too. I only use the HB90 planner exclusively at this point with no customization other than stickers and washi tape on daily pages. I want to give this a 100% shot this quarter to see how it works for me. As for your conferences, I would absolutely love chatty updates from the conferences while you're there!
I loved this video I have been so far back You made me feel like any day is and can be “my fresh start day “ I would love to get any of the larger planners in your giveaway If it isn’t over already
suggestion, try s hole punch, the individual ones. You might be able to find one at an office supply store. I have a few, but they are old. I have a button one. It only punches one hole at a time and it looks like a button that you press when you have the paper or whatever inserted. It's metal too. That might be strong enough to puncture the vellum.
I absolutely ADORE that blush leather planner cover!!!! I know you said the color is stone grey but wow it looks so blushy muted pink to me lol *runs to go buy it
I always love your long videos💜. This one makes me feel like I wanted to do some task blocks tracking now that I’m getting ready to start my first round of edits and I really want to crack down on figuring out how my writing process works, and how long it would take me to finish each round. I was more of a word count tracker when I was drafting but I don’t think that same system would work for editing. And definitely a yes vote from me on vlogging the conferences❤
I have been a planner girl for years and always have used my rings. I started reaching for my disc planner this year. I am not sure what this is about! I totally ordered the 2in rings😂 I have the same Chanel bow! Haven’t seen it in a long time until the other day when I pulled out my levenger discs I had in storage
If I ever want to thin my planner... I get rid of my year at a glance (just for reference). There are other yearly trackers, future log, etc. that I can reference. ... By just moving it to my archive binder as the cover/title page. 💖🌞🌵😷
I love this, I have four planners this year, including one for gardening, my hb90 goal setting which I have in a big happy planner notebook. And a social media one and then my catch-all. However it’s the catch all that I’m struggling to figure out.
Your planner looks so good, Sarra! Can I ask is the whole page of task block tracking in the hb90 planner? I don't recall seeing it before and would find it really useful.x
I love the idea of having all 12 monthly spreads in my planner! I always buy the quarterly planner, do I have to buy the yearly too to get the 12 monthly spreads?
Love the setup! There’s a tool from We R Makers called the Crop-a-Dile that will punch holes in your bookmarks so you can hang your charms from wherever you like. Curious if you might be attending Bouchercon in Aug/Sept?
I use them for plotting but not exactly the writing of the story. I've never handwritten, but I love to keep all my plot, character and other ideas in my notebook! I'll be starting a new setup in the next couple of weeks!
I love this. When I used the HB90 planners, I tried formatting the pages to print at about 9x7 inches for discs (because A5 is too small and letter-size is a bit much for me). Then my printer kicked the bucket! :(
For your non happy planner products what size are you using? I'm new to planning and need to understand how classic size correlates to non happy planner websites. Which sizes fit the classic on these websites?
I love this set up SO MUCH! And the cover is beautiful! Is it darker in person? I love the color on the video but I know there's lighting and screens so it might not be the pale stone grey I'm seeing. But I'm inspired!
Great flip. Do you use stickers in your weeklies and do you archive? My issue with using stickers is I only keep my monthly and trash weeklies and dailies. I would hate to waste stickers. The cost does add up.
I would love a virtual writing retreat email reminder! I wish I felt ready to take P&T this round, but I'm using the second round as an "external deadline" for myself to have one of my novels ready enough to feel like I'm ready for P&T. Your new planner setup is so cute, and I love all the cherry energy!
I have that same color planner for my hobo weeks planner. It was gifted to me my my great friend Stacey. I now need one in half letter size but can't afford one
I have never seen that timer you put your own stickers on ⏲️ 😮, what is it called???? I've got a time timer but this seems more a tracker than giving you a pomodoro/ time limit?
It's called a Timeular and it's not set up for pomodoro. It's just for time tracking and it's got a monthly fee to keep records. I love it but I also forget to use it all the time, so mixed reviews from me.

@@HeartBreathings I think being 😳worried by it can be a good thing as well. It is a great visual reminder to get my priorities straight.
Freaked me out too as I am 57 and this is a trigger
God loves you and He died for you so love for Him
@HeartBreathings I am already 7 years past the 72 year form. I must have missed something, what do you mark it for? I plan to live another 11 years at least, if the Lord terries. That will give me a lifespan of at least as long as my Mom & Dad.

Four thousand weeks! I listened to the audiobook at the start of this month. I liked how he described the reluctance to do important work...that resonated with me, big time.
It resonated with me too!!
I would LOVE a newsletter reminder about virtual retreats! And double down days/other write-together events.
Me too
One of my top favourite things. Make a coffee and watch a Sarra video. 💖
🙌

I agree! I'm really loving being back in happy planner style!
Your setup for this is super duper cute!
Thank you;
I love your planner! I had to buy the same cover!!! It was so pretty!
I love your notebook and ideas.💡 Also, I like the long videos.😅 I’m off to a slow start too. I’m telling/teaching myself to keep writing, and ‘business’ things, in the front of my brain. 🧠 😆
Yes, conference vlogs. Continued blessings.
Gorgeous planner setup! I also love that color so much!
I love all the details…so fun to see how you set everything up. You are very creative and productive. I’m kinda jealous! 😂❤️🩷💜🩵
I would love writing only reminders!!! Thank you for an amazing walk through of your planner!
I love your setup!! And the color of the binder is so beautiful! 🥰 I've got two planners this year, a yearly and a monthly. I love the design you use to track your habits! I haven't done any HB90 planner set up, or planning but your set up gives such good ideas.
Amazing set-up, it's definitely inspiring me to add some more trackers and other sections in my planner! I use a disc-bound system too and love being able to customize it. Would love to see conference vlogs if you're able to!

I nearly squealed when I saw you have one of ThePlannerBabe's inserts!
I have a few of hers and they're so beautiful 😍
This is gorgeous! Very inspiring
I’m so excited for this video! ❤
✨🍒
Yes! Reminder for the Writer's Retreat. Thanks Sarra!
A Crop o Dile punch will let you punch through most thick materials even your bookmark for your charms.
Thank you! I need to grab one!!

Fabulous planner! I always get such good ideas from you 😁 And thank you for the year tracker freebie!!
If you do make it to GO Wild, it'd be great to catch you there! 😄 I'll be there 💜
Yessss!!! I would love that!
I would love one day for a physical HB90 planner. Your franken set up is gorgeous! So inspiring!
Crop a dile punch for your bookmark 😊 I have one that I brought to make these bookmarks but never got to it! 💛
Loved this, Sarra❣

Your planner is gorgeous! I'm glad the 7x9 size is working for you.
I had just switched to bullet journaling but this setup makes me want to reconsider! Oh no. Time to shop! Lol.
I always love getting to see inside your system🩵

I loved this video
I have been so far back
You made me feel like any day is and can be “my fresh start day “
I would love to get any of the larger planners in your giveaway

Great video, I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
Reminders for the writing retreat- spectacular idea!
Love this!
I have a section to record my sprints and word count total for each day and I have some annual habit trackers for my big goals
I always love your long videos💜. And definitely a yes vote from me on vlogging the conferences❤
Wow, didn’t think when clicking on a Planner video I’d be feeling such an existential crisis
A regular hole punch should work to punch your page marker. I do mine all the time.
I would love to see travel/convention vlogs!
Hi - Thanks - for All your Fabulous insight ! I apologize if missed the link where did you get that beautiful rainbow spiral binding ?
If I ever want to thin my planner... I get rid of my year at a glance (just for reference). There are other yearly trackers, future log, etc. that I can reference. ... By just moving it to my archive binder as the cover/title page. 💖🌞🌵😷

I’d love to see a vlog of your conferences you attend as the only one I’m going to this year is Inkers Con
Yes technically but give me a day and I'll just add it to the resource library for free
@@HeartBreathings you’re the best!!
Love the setup! There’s a tool from We R Makers called the Crop-a-Dile that will punch holes in your bookmarks so you can hang your charms from wherever you like. Curious if you might be attending Bouchercon in Aug/Sept?
Ooh okay I'll look for that!!! I'm not going to Bouchercon sadly.
to punch the hole in the bookmark i would use a crop-a-dile :)
Love the trackers :)
Do you still use your notebooks to write your books? Any suggestions for a newby who wants to start using notebooks to write?
I use them for plotting but not exactly the writing of the story. I've never handwritten, but I love to keep all my plot, character and other ideas in my notebook! I'll be starting a new setup in the next couple of weeks!
Yes, please send out a reminder to the retreats and the double down days!
Nice planner
I love this. When I used the HB90 planners, I tried formatting the pages to print at about 9x7 inches for discs (because A5 is too small and letter-size is a bit much for me). Then my printer kicked the bucket! :(
i know you've mentioned it before, but what is the time tracker you have called / where is it from? it's really neat!
It's a Timeular!
For your non happy planner products what size are you using? I'm new to planning and need to understand how classic size correlates to non happy planner websites. Which sizes fit the classic on these websites?
The size is typically 7x9.25 inches. Most places will still call it happy planner classic size, or you'll see it sometimes as 9 disc size.
New subbie as of today
Welcome!!!!
I love this set up SO MUCH! And the cover is beautiful! Is it darker in person? I love the color on the video but I know there's lighting and screens so it might not be the pale stone grey I'm seeing.
But I'm inspired!
You could change your anxious colour to black
What is that time tracker device called? Your planner is so pretty!
Thank you! It's called a Timeular
I started off 2024 with a Cloth & Paper half-letter discbound but I am thinking about changing to Classic size
Great flip. Do you use stickers in your weeklies and do you archive? My issue with using stickers is I only keep my monthly and trash weeklies and dailies. I would hate to waste stickers. The cost does add up.
Do you have a full cover on the back? Mine makes mine stick out a lot with the expanders.
Great video as always
I am doing well but considering setting up a HP Classic for all of the courses I am taking.
Just found you and subscribed. Hope to meet you at Go Wild!
Oh awesome!!! You too!!
would like to get reminders before virtual events, thanks
I hope Evie is doing better. I finally feel normal again. I'm still coughing though. Not sure if we had COVID again, but I suspect we did.
Glad you're feeling better! Evie is fully back to herself thankfully
What kind of paper do you print on?
I use hp premium inkjet paper. I think it's 32? Or 36?
Hi there! I your time tracker connected to the internet in any way? I'd love to start tracking my time
It's called a Timeular and you pay a monthly fee for the app which is connected to the Internet and you can connect it to various sites like Asana.
Great Video, but and maybe I missed it but what it that pyramid thingy you had on your desk??
It's a timer.
💜💜
I just sent you a link to the smaller hole punch I bought a year ago. I sent it in a DM on your Sarra Cannon IG
I have that same color planner for my hobo weeks planner. It was gifted to me my my great friend Stacey. I now need one in half letter size but can't afford one
the expander disk i just think they are too easy for the paper to come out.
Yeah I think it can make it harder to navigate the planner.
