It is a crime against humanity that this EP was only available during that VOCALOCK MANIA event. So I searched for the last days for either a legal buy or, if all else fails, a high-quality version from some other "source". I can't believe Yuyoyuppe has not put this on any streaming service. If he did, he would be filthy rich from me listening alone. Regarding vocaloid, this EP is one of my favorites of all time.
After listen to metal for almost 2 decades, I find out some mad lads have the genius to make incredible sounding tracks with a vocaloid growling no less. I would gladly buy this on CD if I could. Finally something with the same Energy as the Asobi Asobase ending.

@@tylerleigh328 oh nice! You should check out some of his older stuff, the vocaloid songs are a bit more rough sounding due to the technology of the time, but he has some really good stuff. I reccomend 唯心論 (mentalism/yuishinron) it's really good. He also did a song called カミノコトバ (god's word/kaminokotoba) sung by luschka and it's really really good. (Not really metal though, for that you should check out the planetary suicide album or for a sick boy.)

@@LesbiansMarie My personal favorite albums by Yuyoyuppe are "For a sick boy" and "Planetary Suicide" it's old but a good starting point. For other vocametal prod I recommend : Okame-P, Caz, Muryoku-P, Keinoaza, LIQ. If you prefer more recent stuff Levereve and Shoten Taro (From Blatantly Emotional Records).
Excellent EP. Feels more like a mini-album. I think the reason people think he hasn't been doing much recently is because he mainly writes (and arranges/remixes) for other artists and compilation albums and it's impossible to be aware of all his prolific output. My UA-cam playlists collect hundreds of his songs written for other artist in Metal, rock, J-pop and EDM and anime genres. It took me a while to find them all, but I did it for fans of his music. There might be some epic new songs in there for you to discover that you didn't know about. I have no videos myself, so need no traffic. It's all about the music.
This is such a blessing. It's got a heaviness similar to utsuP which is a given as there aren't that many writing this style, there's a few for sure, but the level of quality at least in my own opinion isn't quite there yet. SICK is still very much has its own style and feels like a yuyoyuppe release even with him trying his hand at trendier/modern styles and sounds.
Upon first listen, I absolutely LOVED the Sick, and found the rest ok, worth listening to for sure. After a while, Patto became my favorite song, and I loved how the album felt like a cohesive piece that I could listen through in order and it just makes sense where you can unwind with something more melodic and somber. Now, I find myself hearing instruments in the background of Kyakka that somehow I missed through dozens and dozens of listens, it is rapidly becoming my favorite song. Can't stop listening!

UPDATE: seems like yuyoyuppe was asked if this EP was on any streaming services during an Instagram live stream. He said that it's coming but its taking a while and that it's out of his hands. I don't wanna get peoples hopes up or anything but I'm hopeful for it. Might have been a translation error on my part though so if anyone can infer a different meaning from 「そういえばsickってサブスクありますか？」 (the question chat asked yuyoyuppe during the stream) then please let me know. ANOTHER UPDATE: yuyoyuppe released another one of his singles (Burning Burning Burning) on Spotify at the start of April. I had hoped that would signal the rest of his works release but we've had nothing since. All I know is that the single was under a different label so maybe that's what he meant by it taking time?? I'll update again if I find anything out!

What a badass EP, brings me Draw the Emotional vibes (especially his touhou songs) and I can't stop looping this amazing music. I miss megurine luka though, so hopefully he'll make another one with vocaloid soon.
I miss Yuyoyuppe's music like you wouldn't believe; Always want more of it. Also I wanted to purchase this on first listen because it's very well made and very heavy, but it's only available on download cards? Hopefully later it'll get a release... Need to support this dude. N.I.C.K. is pretty good but he writes in a really specific way that I absolutely love when he uses a virtual singer.
Sick and Datte are the real stars of this EP. They have a cohesive and distinct structure compared to the rest; not that the others aren't good, especially on their own. But Sick is a powerful opener, with changes in style and substance, but enough cohesion to make a memorable piece. Same goes for Datte, with extra credit for being a helluva earworm. We need this EP everywhere
Interesting. I feel like the whole EP flows perfectly, always listen to the whole thing in full. Sick and Makka are my personal highlights. Pa-tto crushed my heart though, it's so quintessentially Yuppe...
Yeah those are the two that stands out. The rest feels like an interlude more or less. I am not complaining. I love the whole EP. Wish it was twice as long.

Sick broke the roof as an intense starter, Makka and Kyakya (personally) had epic wordplay moments, Datte served as a climax, and Patto just completed the cycle (i.e. album) with my heart in pieces. Sick and Datte are memorable. Patto is an unspoken melodic beast though, but it's all good.
Very epic EP! I’m so proud of how many artists, composers, lyricists, etc. got on board with Vocaloid, UTAUloid, and other vocal softwares. Listening to these artists was my childhood and seeing how the artists and technology have evolved has inspired me to start looking into making my own music.

It possesses yuppe's all-too-familiar style of melodic chaos but reaching new and borderline insane territory, and it's amazing. This needs to be on Spotify. Or heck, in his own youtube channel.

Excellent EP. Feels more like a mini-album.
I think the reason people think he hasn't been doing much recently is because he mainly writes (and arranges/remixes) for other artists and compilation albums and it's impossible to be aware of all his prolific output.
My UA-cam playlists collect hundreds of his songs written for other artist in Metal, rock, J-pop and EDM and anime genres. It took me a while to find them all, but I did it for fans of his music. There might be some epic new songs in there for you to discover that you didn't know about. I have no videos myself, so need no traffic. It's all about the music.
This is such a blessing. It's got a heaviness similar to utsuP which is a given as there aren't that many writing this style, there's a few for sure, but the level of quality at least in my own opinion isn't quite there yet. SICK is still very much has its own style and feels like a yuyoyuppe release even with him trying his hand at trendier/modern styles and sounds.

No, Utsu-like only 3rd track, Yuppe-style tracks 1-2, other Shiromeshi, kxmetal and GasaloP, imho.
Upon first listen, I absolutely LOVED the Sick, and found the rest ok, worth listening to for sure. After a while, Patto became my favorite song, and I loved how the album felt like a cohesive piece that I could listen through in order and it just makes sense where you can unwind with something more melodic and somber. Now, I find myself hearing instruments in the background of Kyakka that somehow I missed through dozens and dozens of listens, it is rapidly becoming my favorite song. Can't stop listening!

Synth V is a new line of Vocaloids that rivalizes with the products of Crypton (Miku, Luka, Kaito, Len & Rin, Meiko), the ones who end in Poid (Gumi, Gakupo, etc) and other companies.

UPDATE: seems like yuyoyuppe was asked if this EP was on any streaming services during an Instagram live stream. He said that it's coming but its taking a while and that it's out of his hands.
I don't wanna get peoples hopes up or anything but I'm hopeful for it. Might have been a translation error on my part though so if anyone can infer a different meaning from 「そういえばsickってサブスクありますか？」 (the question chat asked yuyoyuppe during the stream) then please let me know.
ANOTHER UPDATE: yuyoyuppe released another one of his singles (Burning Burning Burning) on Spotify at the start of April. I had hoped that would signal the rest of his works release but we've had nothing since. All I know is that the single was under a different label so maybe that's what he meant by it taking time?? I'll update again if I find anything out!

I miss Yuyoyuppe's music like you wouldn't believe; Always want more of it. Also I wanted to purchase this on first listen because it's very well made and very heavy, but it's only available on download cards? Hopefully later it'll get a release... Need to support this dude. N.I.C.K. is pretty good but he writes in a really specific way that I absolutely love when he uses a virtual singer.

Sick and Datte are the real stars of this EP. They have a cohesive and distinct structure compared to the rest; not that the others aren't good, especially on their own. But Sick is a powerful opener, with changes in style and substance, but enough cohesion to make a memorable piece. Same goes for Datte, with extra credit for being a helluva earworm. We need this EP everywhere
Interesting. I feel like the whole EP flows perfectly, always listen to the whole thing in full. Sick and Makka are my personal highlights. Pa-tto crushed my heart though, it's so quintessentially Yuppe...
Yeah those are the two that stands out. The rest feels like an interlude more or less. I am not complaining. I love the whole EP. Wish it was twice as long.

While Sick and Datte are memorable, the five songs really fit each other to make the album whole. Sick broke the roof as an intense starter, Makka and Kyakya (personally) had epic wordplay moments, Datte served as a climax, and Patto just completed the cycle (i.e. album) with my heart in pieces.

Very epic EP! I’m so proud of how many artists, composers, lyricists, etc. got on board with Vocaloid, UTAUloid, and other vocal softwares. Listening to these artists was my childhood and seeing how the artists and technology have evolved has inspired me to start looking into making my own music.

This is how one felt only being aware of Yuppe's old works for around 5 years now, then suddenly finding the SICK album in 2023. It possesses yuppe's all-too-familiar style of melodic chaos but reaching new and borderline insane territory, and it's amazing.
