Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time.
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)..

I was born in Iran, a long time ago. Up until the western inspired regime change in Iran in 1979, Iran was the closest ally of the US in the M.E. Iran also had over 1000 miles of long border with the Soviet Union, the sworn enemy of Iran and the US. Although US and Iran were militarily very close, US did not have any bases of any sort in Iran, Iran would not allow it. What Iran had allowed US to have was ' secret ' listening stations in some strategic places along her border with the Soviet Union to monitor the Soviet ballistic missile, and eaves drop on Soviet fighter activities. There was also a sort of tit for tat hot war between the Soviets and Iran, but this was highly secret and only people within military knew of it. My father was high up in the government, and in my childhood I used to accompany him in the summer in his travels, so I had seen the huge white domes of these stations. The soviets had a huge interest to monitor what was going on around Iranian TFBs, so they started to use their Mig 25 RBs to overfly and photograph the sites. At that time Iran had no means of successfully intercepting the Mig25. The F4E with their Sparrow missiles were no match for this superfast and high flying menace that was the Mig 25. To cut the story short, Iran was looking to acquire interecptors to counter the threat of Mig 25. Richard Nixon was also a friend of the Shah and unlike his successors who followed the British doctoraine of promoting the Arabs, particularly Saudi Arabia, he had no faith in them to hold their own in case of Soviet aggression. I think history has proven him right. Nixon paved the way for Iran acquiring an advanced interceptor, despite vehement oppsition by the Democrats. There was a choice between the F14 A, and the still under development F15. Out of the two, the F15 was the cheaper, easier to maintain and superior in performance on paper. It did not, however have the firepower nor the advanced radar that Iranians were looking for. The F14 with her AWG9 radar and the AIM 54 missiles, could get close to the Mig 25 RB and shoot them down. And yes, Iran also had an ineterest to invest in the US and so they went for the F14 and not the F15. There has been a lot of nonesense talked about Iran and her F14s, but they protected Iranian skies over the 8 year war with Saddam Hussain of Iraq and their record speaks for itself. They shot down every type of Soviet and French made modern fighters in the Iraqi airforce, an dI think that Iranians are the only people to have downed the secrative and Exocet carrying French Super Etandard that France had generously ' loaned ' to the Iraqis ( I wonder who was flying these for the Arabs ). I am sorry that because of shortsighted political agenda, the relationship between Iran and the US is one of mistrust and animocity, truly sorry. PS: The list of Iranian aces is actually quite a long one, I think there are 14 of them with the top three all scoring above 10 kills with many probable. These were Javidnia (12C+2P), Zandi ( 11C+3P), Mazandarani (10C+2P) and Mehreganfar (6C+3P). All US tarined, all topguns.

There's one major aspect missing from the video - Iran was extremely close to selling their F-14 Tomcats after the revolution. Although the Canadian government ruled out the F-14 as a replacement for its CF-101 Voodoos and CF-104 Starfighters as too expensive, the idea of acquiring more than 70 Tomcats from Iran was very appealing. in terms of air defence, the F-14's capabilities was something long sought after. A Mach 2 interceptor armed with long-range missiles to down incoming Soviet bombers. Negotiations were well underway, even close to the 'handshake phase' when it came to light that the Canadian embassy had been a safe haven for several U.S. embassy staff, who weren't at work when it was stormed by revolutionaries. Once the 'Canadian Caper' came to the public eye, Iran ended the negotiations with Canada. Iran kept their Tomcats and Canada eventually selected the CF-18.

The reason why the Iranians ceased flying their F-4 Phantoms is almost probably as follows. One, they ran out of spare parts after canibalising what remained of their fleet after the war with Iraq. Second, they ran out of the tyres they were sourcing from Israel and being shipped via Dubai, believe to Bushire.

A McDonnell Douglas exec once explained to me over dinner that the Shah of Iran choosing the Grumman F-14 over MD's F-15 was the absolute best thing that ever happened to MD, as it directly resulted in the F-14 being retired early AND replaced by by a MD aircraft (the Hornet). If the Shah had gone the other way and picked the F-15 then the Super Tomcat 21 program would have been greenlit in the 90's and they would still be flying today, the Super Hornet program would never have been greenlit as it would have been superflous, and it's also highly possible the F-15 would have been retired in the 2000s instead of the Tomcat.

      @islamisthetruewaytogod6812 Рік тому

      Salam (Peace) -----------

A naval aircraft needs more substantial landing gear and a robust airframe to handle catapulted takeoffs and hard landings. Any aircraft that meets those needs is overbuilt for terrestrial airbase takeoffs and landings, so the airframe and landing gear will last much longer. What’s remarkable about the Iranian F-14s is that they haven’t had spare parts for 43 years other than the ones they ordered and received before they were sanctioned.

Their numbers are also very low now, perhaps only 12 are airworthy. They are sort of a moral booster for those who don't know. The use of grossly substandard Chinese made components in the mechanics of the aircraft is one of the major causes of the mishaps that have recently befallen these magnificent aircraft. I have heard this from a number of the retired Iranian F14 piltos who have Y.T channels. It is a very sorry scene TBH. That Iranian copy of the AIM 54, the Fakour-90 is also unproven.

Likely, cannibalizing aircrafts already out of order, reverse ingeneering what they could, contraband the rest. Plenty of money there. And I bet they cannot fly all the 79 fighters in the same time. Much older aircrafts were kept in service.
However, the F14 was particularly complicated and expensive to service and mantain. A parallel is with the F35, very expensive thing.
But, can do vertical take offs and landing, making it spectacular for operating in absence of airstrips, or on helicopter carriers, with too short size for traditional planes. Special features come with high price.
In its era, the F14 was the best and most advanced navy fighter, and arguably one of the best gen 4 fighter jets ever. You wouldn't want to dogfight an F14 with a Mig25 or a Tornado (that were better attack planes/bombers, but as well they were far from the uncomparable agility of the F14. It was really a very special thing, capable of incredible vertical accelerations and changing direction like a living thing).

I can confidently say that it was and is the most beautiful and dignified fighter in the world, and American politicians have unfortunately destroyed the entire project. But it is interesting that this plane is still in the Iranian army. This fighter is well used and maintained. It completely destroyed the Iraqi Air Force four times. You should definitely listen to the memories of Iranian pilots, how modern Mirages, MiGs and Sukhoi hunted the day with this fighter. The memoirs of an Iranian pilot said that three Iraqi fighters could not return to Iraq due to the fear of the Iranian Tomcat and eventually ran out of fuel. Two of them crashed in Iran and one in Iraq. Iranian pilots used this method to avoid using the Phoenix missile. These memories are very audible. This fighter still flies like an eagle in the sky of Iran. I wish these two countries, America and Iran, would put aside their differences together. There was no better and stronger ally for America than Iran. Unfortunately, Israel and the Arabs from America, Russia and China from Iran do not allow the improvement of relations.

Just by the fact Iran are using the Tomcat as land based aircraft its giving much longer frame life to the tomcat. I'm not seeing anything crazy but my real curiosity was the engines, specifically the high pressure section and front blades of low pressure stages. Gearbox for hydraulic systems is no mystery but the generator was a pain in the ass as the secondary hydraulic..
Its a very very strong airframe

Iran's F-14s are sooo, so old and they can't get spare parts, so they have almost none still flying. Realistic estimates give them about 12-18 airworthy airframes, although they still technically have about 40 airframes. Funnily enough, their F-4s are in better shape even though they're older.

Every one love the f14 for top gun..
    but ..
it was over expensive, heavy, high maintenance.
The expensive Phoenix missile was designed to A-12 and implemented in the f-14 was never used.
Retired and not go to the super tomcat was the best decision of the navy.
Navy F15 for the navy could be a good fit at the time..
The F18 super hornet is a great choise.
I don't think that many of those f14 are still flying in Iran.. lack of parts and expensive running cost dont make a 3 gen f14 is a good idea..
Mig 29 is a more intelligent option for Iran cheaper and russia ready to be sell to them..
"The current" inventory of f14 iran is 41... really a have my reserves to see 41 fly airworthiness of these planes..

    • @torontolistener5507

The F-15 would NOT have been a good fit, because it could not carry the Phoenix, which the Navy wanted. Also, to navalize the F-15 would have required many structural changes best done in the initial design phase. And yes, the changes would have made the plane much heavier, much like the necessary F/A-18 growth over the F-17 prototype made it much heavier than the Air Force F-16. So, a Navy F-15 wouldn't have been better than the F-14, and would perhaps have been worse.

When Super hornet was offered to navy, then they let the F14 go! He is absolutely right! F18 was commissioned to navy long before the super along the F14!!
That’s why they call it super hornet in order to fill in for F14 capabilities! Which is not the case in reality.
