How comes your probes or the opposite normally red probes are positive while black is com but you use your red as ground🤔

I call that cold testing when there is no power supplied to the pcb and I easily detect half shorting using that method.
There’s nothing wrong with putting the probs the opposite way if you understand that it suppose to read deferent in forward and backward testing.
