Charles is such a joy. Between good mythical evening, gmm, and the podcasts you've had him record while in LA, you have kept him busy! He seems to love it and we love seeing him. 💗💗
As a firefighter I can confirm, those old houses go up so quick theres usually not a thing you can do. Unless your standing right in front of it when it starts, your not stopping it. And if it started in a wall, by the time you get to it your bailing out because its like burning paper.
For me it was the cutting and mixing the peps and burning the onions. I think keeping something off or adding more of something the store/restaurant already has is fine but dictating how exactly they prepare it (like mixing peps with the sauce or pre-caramelizing onions when they don't offer caramelized onions) and to add that much extra work is asking a a lot
I listen then watch every other week. Charles’ mini Dispatches are cute on the off weeks. It’s good to know their relationship is good despite the parents divorce. My sons father passed just as he got old enough to establish a relationship again.
This is why I only mobile order now. Even if I have to park first, put order in, and then pull up to drive through window and tell them I have a mobile order 😅 Plus it's easier for my anxiety to just say "mobile order for Shannon" than to list everything for everyone 😂
I was listening and enjoying this podcast then I heard Charles mention Collett Davis. I know Collett from the church I went to growing up. One of the nicest people you'd ever meet.
Such a story about the fire. We went through an electrical fire from a neighboring tree that rubbed the electrical line that ran from our house to the poll. One stormy night, it rubbed all the way through and that sent a surge to our electrical box and our house was on fire for about 45 minutes before we could even smell it. We thankfully all made it out, but what a scary morning it all was. Was a long year in a hotel while they rebuilt our house. We all still have ptsd whenever we smell smoke or hear alarms. The alarm went off as we were walking out of the house. It’s pretty shocking how much smoke fills up in the house before it reaches the alarm. That horrible smell won’t ever leave my memory.
My mama failed her driving test as a youngster. The driving instructor said she’s fine as long as she never has to make any turns. My mom never did ever get her drivers license. Never had any desire to. She’s lived her entire life dependent on others to drive her , cabs, husband whatever and she does not mind.
Just a few months ago I saved my neighbors life, and was actually in the local news for it. I had to leave my three month old daughter and my two year old son inside my living when I heard his car making a weird noise. Something was wrong and he was stuck in his car, when it started to catch fire I went and pulled him out of the car and dragged him far enough to where I thought if the car would blow up he might be okay. Then ran back inside to make sure my babies were okay.
Man that fire story is almost identical to mine. It was early January in Illinois so the hydrant was frozen. And we lived out of town so by the time the fire trucks got there, the whole thing was gone anyway.
coming from an Italian family my father and uncle pronounced it Prah Zhut. I add the o to it but they never did. But you have to be in an authentic Italian place for them to understand the shortened version.
33:47 Oh em gee in Canada we have g1 g2 and g (g is fully licensed) when i was doing my g2 test i had someone else in the car with me as well. When he did his test he drove on the wrong side of the road and still somehow passed .... i also went to driving school and there was 4 of us plus the driver who would take us out to drive on the road and tnis one person keep using his mirrors instead of looking behind him to check his blind spot our driving instructor got so pissed he made dude pull the car over lmao amd closed all the mirrors... and covered the rear view mirror so he had no way of checking fot cars it didnt last more than 5 mins before he made hime pull over abain and made another student drive back 🤣😂🤣
The driver's ed class that was offered by my highschool/town was a little off. We were to practice driving on our own time and didn't do any driving in the actual class.
I didnt think about the fact that Charles technically works for Link. Thats crazy. Its like the old Dr. Hook Song, Cover of the Rolling Stone "I got my poor old Gray Haired daddy, drivin my limousines" but i doubt that Link takes other ques from that song like having "a freaky old named cocaine Katie that embroiders on my jeans" lol
Sometimes entertainers loose sight of why people still watch them or start to think they have nothing interesting to say. Just writing in to tell you guys I’m 32 years old I’ve been watching y’all for years I work manual labor job with my family and you guys make my day better .
I get that UA-cam pays you by the watchable minutes scale but the fans are the ones who get SCREWED when you all do your quantity over quality material.
How are you getting screwed? Who’s forcing you to watch or listen to something you don’t want to listen to? You’re not owed anything by the people you watch on UA-cam
We need Charles in LA at least once a month. Guy is a legend.
What a ledge!
Flying across the country two times a month is rough. Especially someone who has cancer.
As long as LA is Louisiana as the true LA. I feel their southern attitudes.
Link mouthing along to the email never fails to make me laugh.
please ask Charles what happened during the 2000th episode when he sent that video of him in the woods lmao
LMFAOOOO i totally forgot about that 😭 omg
How Link keeps bringing up Charles and Nancy moving out to LA 🥹
Leave Charles in Myrtle Beach 😂 We like him just like he is😂😂😂
All of your GMM audio books going forward should be read by…YOUR DAD!!!
It's been so cool to have Charles in town for fun and content. 😊
It’s like I’m watching someone who has traveled to an alternate universe to have a conversation with a younger version of themself.
God bless Mr. Charles. He's got such a good heart. I love hearing his stories and his advice is right on.
I've really been enjoying Dispatches! Charles is such a treat, and these in person interactions are so great
I can’t even put into words the love that I have for Charles
Them talking about saving the family and cats was HILARIOUS

I love “dad”! Y’all are amazing! You remind me so much of my late father! I miss him a lot, y’all make me happy!
Listening to this podcast always makes me wish I’d have asked my grandparents for more stories about their lives.
Such a good episode! Look forward to this podcast every week!

we really need this more than twice a month. this was a great episode lolol
The second they said "half sauce" I would've hung up. I did not do well in food service 😂

I'm Lebanese and the way Charles pronounced "falafel" @27:00 is pretty close to how we say it, especially the last syllable.
You look like your dad. Your very lucky to still have your parents.
I was adamant from the shorts that Charles was just Link in make up and putting on a voice. ADAMANT. My world has been shook
I love this man on GMM ❤
This is the best podcast I swear
I love this channel. I have the biggest crush on Charles!
I lived for 1 year in MB and it was the best year of my life ❤❤

Love links dad he's a national treasure and legend ❤️
my grandma can’t pronounce falafel either this just cracked me up
This is like the commercial with Jordan, when younger Michael Jordan comes out to play him 1v1.

Charles is so funny and cute! What a great guy
This was awesome
This one is dispatches from ear biscuits ❤😂
That’s was very diplomatic when he said working hard is manual labour, he didn’t put down Link.
My drivers test was in the middle of a tropical storm. Couldn't see a thing in the rear view mirrors because of all the rain drops on them. I passed.
Love Charlie keeping it real
What a sad story about the house he had restored!😢
Fine I will watch it.
Can Canada have Charles come Visit. I’ll start the coffee if so!
He seems really nice
Charles has hands for basketball
Looks like a zoom meeting!
If I ever see Charles I will request a picture. He was Mythical all the time
I like he still use AOL haha
Here are 2 words to try to pronounce. One is my favorite food: Kolache and the other is a place: Cuyahoga (USA)
i hope you recorded more gmm whit your dad the the one you already posted
I love Charles. So much better than link. Rhett and Charles?
I wish Charles was my dad 😅
Does Charles need another grandchild to adopt? Because I volunteer.
Did you know on GMM there was the first episode with link’s dad?
OOO I'm third with comments ❤
I would be embarrassed to give that pizza order also. Dear Lord! Like why? Just why…
Link is very concerned with his dad understanding that he is his employee… and I hate that…
Get Rhett on
