Oh I was so cozy and dry at home watching this with a glass of red wine :) and it reminded me of my days on Fehmarn a few years back. Thanks for taking me back
I love rainy coastlines. My experience is mostly with Maine but my wife and I used to vacation up there in the Winter when lots of things were closed and there were hardly any tourists. I really liked the shot of the horse.
Wow, that sounds painterly! I love the seaside during autumn and winter, there is just something special about this cold and windy seasons without a lot of tourists that make the sea feel more authentic in a way. And thank you :)
You killed the composition on a few of these shots. Amazing that sometimes it simply boils down to composition, no matter the camera or film. Also, love that this was a simple walk with the family--very wholesome haha.
Great video as always Karin. I am digital photographer but most of my inspiration come from the film community. Im going to attempt on shooting some rolls for my own channel one of these days.

Haha, what an ending. I think this might be whatever version of VR/Gold they use for Lomo 800. I know I love Lomo 800 in 120 ... Great video! Everything there looks so beautiful.
Thanks for your comment Jamie! I still have to try lomo 800 (aka rebranded Kodak gold 800) in 120, but I heard it performs beautifully if overexposed by a stop or two.
@@KarinMajoka You're welcome! I use it at box speed, too. I think the results are great. The grain impact is reduced in the larger format, and the color rendition is punchy but otherwise pretty true.

Kodak Max 800 was a consumer film, sometimes with the designation GB, GC and the like. Kodak GT was produced only for use in disposable cameras, which is why you won't see those letters in film sold commercially. It's known for being pretty grainy and saturated, which you can see in your photos (through the compression etc.) I think the Lomography version they used to sell was rolls of GT cut and packaged by Lomo, but that's me guessing.
Awesome, thanks a lot for the info! There was not a lot of information on the internet about the GT inscription so this is also what I assumed, I guess you are right about Lomography's batch as well. :)
Cool to see that the Baltic Sea coast has a lot of locations to explore. So far, I only made a brief stop at the Gespensterwald on my way to Sweden (ferry). Rain gear is a must though :-).
A nice relaxing Photowalk. nice. 👍 i really have to check if there are still cameras like this available. for 4€ an iso 800 film would be top. this way the film looks exactly like a Kodak UltraMax 400 underexposed.
I went back to the store (it was a local Saturn) two weeks or so later but sadly they were already sold out. Otherwise I would have bought 10 disposables and used the film in other cameras haha. And thanks! :)
Lomography sells an 800 film stock, it is sold in 30 mm, 120 and 110. It seems like it is a master roll of film by Kodak, it may be the film stock inside Kodak's disposable camera, but also it seems like an old formula for Kodak VR 100. Jason, while controlled by Baxter, did a rally cool review of Lomo 800 in a vid.

How were your results with your expired disposable roll? :) same here, I could not really find a lot about this film either. So maybe it’s just Gold or Max 800 that Kodak renamed for their disposals cameras?!🤔
@@KarinMajoka Since the roll was literally over 10 years old (and already exposed), the film was completely ruined. Some images were visible but the film had turned completely blue. Would love to see some of these Ultra Max 800 rolls through some proper glass!
Owen Haupt That‘s a bummer - I have had the same on some rolls that were inside of camera I bought at flea markets. Yes, same! Maybe it’s worth a try to get the film out and use it in a „proper“ camera :)
I shot those at the beach and in the water, super fun camera 😊. ps. rumors say that this is the same film as in lomo 800, and this should be the Kodak Gold 800.
Lomo 800 is for sure rebranded Kodak Gold 800, I think they made it official. However the text on the negatives are different between gold 800 and this film here, so I am a bit puzzled, but maybe it’s still the same stock.
Yes, same! Maybe it’s worth a try to get the film out and use it in a „proper“ camera :)
in Mexico they cost like MINIMUM $20 euros TTTT crying sobbing screaming
I shot those at the beach and in the water, super fun camera 😊.
ps. rumors say that this is the same film as in lomo 800, and this should be the Kodak Gold 800.
Lomo 800 is for sure rebranded Kodak Gold 800, I think they made it official. However the text on the negatives are different between gold 800 and this film here, so I am a bit puzzled, but maybe it’s still the same stock.
Were your results as grainy as mine? 😬But nice to know, I might give it a try underwater next time :)
@@KarinMajoka yes some of them, this film needs some light 😅
@@KarinMajoka btw. if Kodak stays true to their numberings the film could be Kodak Max Zoom Version 5, Last official sold version was 3. Maybe we will find out one day as I have the film in stock 🤝
Das Bild bei 2:52 ist mein Favorit.
Ist tatsächlich auch eines meiner Favoriten von der Rolle. Danke! :)
2:52 DUSTER STRATOSPHERE???
2:45 getting serious 'Rhein II' by Andreas Gursky vibes here! See if you can sell it for $4M ;)

Einen langen Regenspaziergang und dabei fotografieren? :)
@@KarinMajoka Haha ja :D und zwar auch mit einer Einwegkamera. Die Teile haben irgendwie was. Sehr inspirierend das Video
There is no such thing as fail.
Agreed!
Grüße aus Rostock ;) Vielleicht läuft man sich mal übern Weg,
Ich bin leider nicht allzu oft im hohen Norden, aber wenn dann statte ich Rostock auch oft einen Besuch ab - also wer weiß! :)
