I liked the original painting best and would have used a more “earthy” frame for the succulents, and saved my grandmother’s picture as a family heirloom. It is history.
I really liked the painting at the beginning, and the frame before it was repainted.
Me too. I love original stuff better most of the time 😊
Wether my grandmother painted that beautiful painting or not, I wouldn’t have the heart to rip it apart, to turn it into a decor that looks like should be sold at the Dollar Tree. What tears my heart apart, is that I’m sure her grandma was so excited to give her the beautiful painting. I wonder what her grandma would say to what she did to it😢.
That would be the pride of the trailer park. It looks like you spent a lot of time at the dollar store!
These dollar store craft people are completely delusional!
Are we not gonna talk about what happened to the oil painting?! I would not dismantle my grandmother's oil painting without having another frame to put it in. I couldn't focus on anything else
I didn't get that at all. She called it vintage and I'm pretty sure the frame was vintage as well. Some people are really confusing.
I liked that oil painting as it was. What she did saddened me.
Could have got a frame from good will
I really hope she just claimed it was her grandmother's painting.
Totally agree
That frame, just as it was before ruining it, would've been way prettier.
The way the plants and succulents were blended were simple and classy !!!!!! Love this!!!!!
I love the second one!!!
This has inspired me alright. Inspired me to really think about who I leave my stuff to in the end of life. Dismantle Grandma's painting for some for filler for a craft channel. 😢
She didn't ruin the painting! She just removed it from its frame.perhaps she's handing the painting down to one of her grown children and they wanted a more modern frame.
@@angelaperrin5909 - Perhaps she threw it away.
I really love the plant idea with the succulents. I am going to try that for the porch.
Amazon really does have very nice succulents. I put some in my window boxes and got so many compliments.
Sounds wonderful! Do you hv a link to the succulents?
The box with succulents and flowers id gorgeous!!!
I would of just went to Hobby Lobby to buy a frame. That oil painting and or the frame might have been worth money. Also I would have a hard time doing that to a picture and frame that once belong to my grandmother
I believe that vebtage painting and frame would bring great value if you would have priced it and sold it on e-bay I cried but your ideas are worth making w other frames imo.
Vintage sorry for typos
Great idea but maybe find a thrift frame so as not to loose the great original.
I love the table display.
I loved the second one. Felt bad about the first one
You replace Grandma's vintage oil painting for that🤔 go to the drift store!
OMG ❤❤❤❤❤ I absolutely love the succulent frame. This would look amazing as a wide frame staircase!!!!!! ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Truly, Truly lovely.❤
Looks just like the one I made for my daughter’s room last year!😉
Cute idea. Seems like you could've used a single 1" piece of styrofoam cut to fit and avoided the cost of the noodles, glue and extra time.
Beautiful pieces!
I like real succulents
Very interesting.
The first one, I’m just not a fan of. Beautiful frame, before though. The second one was pretty.
Beautiful!! Great job
I think the entire intention of showcasing your creativity was absolutely gorgeous, beautifully done 😊
Yeah thats what i was wondering
Way to destroy grandma's painting for a dust catching camp project
The first one needed more flowers!!
Both were beautiful!❤
Loved the 2nd one, I thought I would use more wildflower looking stems if I were making this for my home, though. Just a thought, very beautiful❣️Ty🙏 Blessing's🤗😊
Crafts with actually instructions~
I don’t like the second one and I was totally upset that she just hammered out the oil painting! What was she going to do with it?
WOW, it’s so lovely!
I don't know about mixing succulents with flowers.
as a side note exato knifes are fine but if you really want a nice straight cut use your serrated kitchen knife.
Cool ideas 💡❤
You don't mix different flower with succulents. Mather nature doesn't do that. I guess is her version. 😏
You can use boardpaper at dollars store
Both pretty, but the first one I might just use a piece of foam cut to the size of the frame. Less trouble, since you're still going to cover it with moss and succulents... The second one, a piece of log on the edge would be nice... By the way, I like your sofa and its' color. 😉
COULD HANG IT IN PATIO OR PORCH
The box of flowers doesn't even have use a pool noodle as the title suggests, but nice ideas
Yeah lets trash grannys vintage picture🤔
BYE. BYE GRANDMA
I was taught that if I can’t say something nice don’t say anything. So, goodbye.
Maybe she didn't like the painting or grandma? I think it's a great way to upcycle! It wouldn't take much to make this a Living Frame w real plants. Thanks for the idea!
DiWHY?
It hideous, not cute and disturbing to me.
Why only green foam noodle ,why not any color
You just ruined a Beautiful frame and painting
U should have left it as a painting. Looks cheap and stupid
Nice. But I think as Americans, we need to start thinking more about ways to conserve energy and resources. A lot of stuff shown is really things we could do without and things that end up in garage sales as junk. These materials come from somewhere and require fossil fuels in order to be transported to stores, etc. Production of many of these materials depletes natural resource such as the Amazon rainforest. I would rather see people going to thrift stores and finding things that are already in existence and finding a new way to decorate with them or use them rather than purchasing over and over again new products from retailers. Please think before you buy new products. Could you actually buy something vintage and reuse/remake it? Or, perhaps, not buy anything at all.
And the fact they are using poop noodles is just the cherry on top. Who tf actually buys pool noodles!? I just cringe every time I see them especially when being used for "garden hacks"🤦
I'm sorry but the second one looks trashy. Fake plants always look trashy imho. The original was better.
Stop using poop noodles! Wow! I can't believe people are still using these awful things! Never would I use a pool noodle for anything. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop.
A hot mess
U r kidding me. Who has time to make this dust-collector to hang on their wall! Who has a frame just hanging about or time to do stuff like this?
Dang. Everyone hates the first one. Maybe you should make another video about how you intend to do better next time. Saying it was your grandmother's without anymore context really blew up on your face. 🤦
When you don't have more material to post that, you just have to ruin a great picture art frame. From the unnecessary pool noodles as a holder to the recoloring frame. I really thought you were going to make some 3d art with those pool noodles.
While I appreciate your ingenuity and creativity this project looks very tacky and like you visited the dollar store. Additionally, I would never destroy a grandparents art piece.
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Should have kept the original painting. Plastic plants are TACKY.
Wow, you caused a lot of controversy with this one lol! just because the painting is old and belonged to somebody you love doesn’t make it valuable or something you would want in your own house. This way you’ve salvaged the frame and used it and you get to enjoy it in your house instead of storing it somewhere in an attic or a basement or selling it! you do you girl
