Whoot!... Hooray for the Eagle and Girl Scouts at the beginning of the vid!... I was one of the Eagle Scouts in the Parade this year... They did their best to keep Mr. Lucas away from people... but I was sneaky and got to stand next to him... until an offcial pulled me away... I was so close I coulda punched him!... Thanks for recording this... I missed all the stromtroopers
well I must say that seeing the 501st walk through the parade is what brought me to watch it. After you guys were done I pretty much left because I saw what I wanted to see. I respect everything you guys do and if I had the funds to get a costume, I'd be out there with you in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work and hopefully we will see more of you guys around. :)
It is far from over. There is the animated series coming out and the Live action show to follow. There is Celebration 4 coming in May. There is no signs of it coming to an end!

Star Wars is far from over. The animated series and live action series will come out over the next couple years. There is also Celebration 4 in LA that happens in May. Star Wars is alive and kicking!
This was at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California about 2 and a half years ago. It was a one time deal but the 501st do meet up at other conventions.

@56LC you are kidding right? a lonely teenager wanting to leave home and make his own adventure and his coming of age, division in the family unit, totalitarian rule and the desire to rebel against it, racism, religion being used for both right and wrong, the threat of weapons of mass destruction and genocide. These are all dealt with in the star wars films. Just because there are flashy space ship and unrealistic technologies doesn't mean it doesn't relate to our society.
Funny how the American flag is the front and the flag of Iraq is more towards the back.
