Nice quilt! Thank you for sharing and pointing out your „mistakes“. As mentioned before, no one will notice, especially from a galloping horse. Like the simple quilting lines too. Well done!
Ooooo I wanna sew so bad!!!! Love the straight quilting.... I need to learn that ... Stuck here in hospital and bored to puddles ... Love it! Gonna go shop for some layer cakes right this second! Thanks for the inspiration!! Blessed be!!!
What if the snowball corners were made with the double seam and then when cut off there would be a tiny hst already sewn. They could be used in border? Or on the backside.
Don't we all. I made a quilt with rectangles and some sadhing. When I was finished, one block was upside down! And that is one of many. Lovely end result!!
Am looking for a easy pattern for my 4th ever quilt and have been practising my HSQ,.. i think i have found my pattern. I may do a larger quilt though..thanks for the clear explanation
I sub-cut some layer cake incorrectly a few weeks back. I decided to cut half the layer cake that way then half the correct way. I kept the 6.5/3.5 in one pile to mix them then the 7.5/2.5 in another to mix them up. When I got to cutting those units in half vertically, I deliberately did half at 5/5 and half a 5.5/4.5, again mixing the first pile amongst itself and the second amongst itself. The asymmetry of most of the blocks is very subtle and no one has noticed which I'm a little sad about.
I listened to the cutting part of thr video over and over, hearing you remind us to measure twice and cut once, and STILL managed to cut up half of a Zen Cuic layer cake all wrong. 😂 Might have to improv a brand new pattern with this variety of pieces that don't go with each other. Sigh😅
Happy to have found you today. Im a new subscriber!!! Love it❤❤❤. Gonna make afew to donate and one for me. When you do quilt, ng do you do all same direction or change it up. And do you mark it so you know where to stitch. I want to start quilting my own. Can you do a video on quilting with your own machine?
I own a longarm machine which I currently longarm quilt for others and myself. ☺️ (I do have a link in the description for my services.) But sadly, I don't do domestic quilting.
I'd love to quilt your quilt! ❤ Link: www.moonkinstitchery.com/longarmquiltingservices
Thanks and get more rest. We love you and depend on your creative, lovely quilts to brighten our day.
I love to watch your videos. I am a beginning quilter and am learning from you
Wouldn't have noticed and wouldn't have minded! Love how this quilting looks!!!
Lol thank you! ❤️
Well I sure wish you lived close to me. I need a new quilting friend so knowledgeable 😀 Thank you for sharing your experience with us
I never doubted you were human! This one is a winner, I love this!
Great patchwork idea, and the quilting really adds texture and interest to the simple patchwork.
And no matter what.... your quilt looks great and someone will LOVE it! Plus the fun of making it!

I hope you're okay! 🙏
I didn't notice the points problem until you pointed it out, I definitely wouldn't have noticed from the back of a galloping horse. 😄
Could you just cut 8.5” squares and 4.5” square and snowball one corner rather than having so many seams? Just wondering.
You could, but you'll have much more fabric waste. I try to create patterns with as little waste as possible. 🤗
I’m sure you’re right! Thanks

Another one to challenge us. Appreciate knowing that imperfect is not the end of the world. Liked the simplicity of the quilting. Thank you again!
Love it! From the thumbnail, I thought they were snowballed corners. Love everything about it. ❤
