- Alexander the Great invaded Afghanistan around 330 BCE after defeating Darius III in the battle of Gaugamela. Darius III was later betrayed by his Afghan governor Bessus who declared himself emperor of the Achaemenid Empire. So Alexander led his forces into modern-day Afghanistan (Bactria) and central Asia (Sogdiana) to punish him. Alexander also tried to build a fort (Alexandria Eschate) on the bank of Syr Darya (Jaxartes). But Afghans and their central Asian allies, including Scythians, resisted his occupation. Their leader, Afghan commander Spitamenes, proved the most formidable opponent to Alexander the Great.

He is not saying this, rather he is saying that Alexander married an Afghan girl and recruited many Afghans in his army, thus the relationship between this two became correct. It speaks before the time of Hazrat Isa (A S W). This history is not mentioned in the hadiths. These people are mentioned References below, they are not telling lie.

عمر بن عبدالعزیز رحمہ اللہ علیہ نے ایک دن ( عصر کی ) نماز میں دیر کی، پس عروہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس تشریف لے گئے، اور انہوں نے بتایا کہ ( اسی طرح ) مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک دن ( عراق کے ملک میں ) نماز میں دیر کی تھی جب وہ عراق میں ( حاکم ) تھے۔ پس ابومسعود انصاری ( عقبہ بن عمر ) ان کی خدمت میں گئے۔ اور فرمایا، مغیرہ رضی اللہ عنہ! آخر یہ کیا بات ہے، کیا آپ کو معلوم نہیں کہ جب جبرائیل علیہ السلام تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی نماز پڑھی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے نماز پڑھی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی نماز پڑھی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے نماز پڑھی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھی نماز پڑھی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا کہ میں اسی طرح حکم دیا گیا ہوں۔ اس پر عمر بن عبدالعزیز رحمہ اللہ نے عروہ سے کہا، معلوم بھی ہے آپ کیا بیان کر رہے ہیں؟ کیا جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نماز کے اوقات ( عمل کر کے ) بتلائے تھے۔ عروہ نے کہا، کہ ہاں اسی طرح بشیر بن ابی مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ اپنے والد کے واسطہ سے بیان کرتے تھے
