@@hmurdergrind the thing is when i try to do bass lines it gets to low and you carnt here the low end or notes proper ive used it on the pulse more where it repeat sometimes a unusual rhythm and it stands out .do u know why? Ive turned the knobs up and leval
@@waynesilverman3048 I’ve had the same problem also sometimes I get clipping sounds or clicks when it’s really low notes. I’m not sure why but when I’ve used the red Electribe It has nice bass sounds.
@@hmurdergrind its not a problem during normal rec and play tunes as theyve got some really bassy sounds jungle ect..its just when i use the step edit the bass goes low
I haven't used the EMX, so learning about it is always interesting. See where this stuff came from. I might have a little bit of tube envy right now. If you want to mark those shortcuts on the E2, blue masking tape is a near match for the color. That and a white paint pen can make some temporary labels. The gate arp can be used as a roller, but your timing needs to be good. The 1/32 delay can also be motion sequenced to toggle, which I just found out about last week. But that does use up the part FX slot. The main thing I don't like about it is the manual is really incomplete. A lot of the things it can do aren't obvious or documented. You sort of need to discover them or discover the community. But now that I've learned some of that stuff, I'll probably always have an Electribe around.
Dreamless Electronic yes I’ve seen people who had their shortcuts marked as you described and yes like you said there is so much more it can do. What I am really curious about is the export to ableton if it separates all your parts for a proper mix down and haven’t found anyone on youtube who goes into depth about it

But the Parameter Guide does say there is an option to export as WAV files, as an alternative to the Ableton set. So you could probably just bring those straight to Pro Tools. It might be a good video if you can figure it out, especially if nobody else has covered it.
Note that WAV export don't export MFX effects. That can be a good thing (replace the reverb with a better one) or a bad one (if you have MFX motion sequencing). And yes, Korg should had put in the box the parameter guide and the manual.
Leonard Petit-Breuilh so can it actually export separate wave files for mixing down? I don’t really want to buy an SD card to try it out. The manual doesn’t really explain

I now get why a new generation is desperately looking to buy a 2nd hand Korg Electribe MX, compared to the menu diving new version it is the real deal. Prices for the MX are still rising, most sell for > $500. Until a few days ago I never worked with my MX and I was about to sell it but on testing it I finally recognized its potential. Still have my ER-1 too, the one that started it all.
These groove boxes are really slept on for the price. I really love these pieces of gear! Great thing is you can dive in and start making beats so much versatility it really is amazing what you can do!
dope beat on that electribe; I gotta say the synth in the electribe 2 is really good; I just wish it could sample as well; they should of combined the two units.

@@murderincradio9817 No need to update firmware. I think chromatic is the first scale mode you can choose in the settings. There are many scales to choose from and 12 tone is one of them. Hold shift and press "touch scale", it takes you straight into the scale selection menu.
You make it sound like it is not possible to play "out of scale" with the E2, so to clarify for anyone not getting this; it does actually offer the "chromatic scale" (which is just like a regular keyboard layout - except you dont have any white and black pads). I personally couldnt live without a scale feature, and im guessing a lot of other noobs are feeling the same way, while professional musicians probably seek other more expensive instruments with less limitations. The step editor sucks, but it did at least push me to practice recording what i play. Im also not impressed with the arpeggiator not being able to play more than one note or chord at a time. Maybe some can make good music with this, but im not good enough to switch from one note to the next, without the timing being a bit off - so then i get the wrong notes, and gotta deal with that #@%&* step editor... I guess it might have worked at least a little better if i slowed down the tempo before recording, but then it might be easier to just record it while i play instead. These days i mostly just use the Maschine MK3, and only use the E2 when im outside. I own the E2 and E2S, and really hope Korg will make an Electribe that combines these 2. Would be great for a more compact "all in one" setup, that would also be much more practical for taking it with me outside when hiking or camping, as opposed to having to either bring both, or choose between the 2... The synth is my favorite, but without the sampler i cant layer more effects or modulations. The sampler might have been my favorite, but it DESPERATELY needs a "prelisten" function, so i dont have to load up a sample to hear it..! It is still good for sampling/resampling sounds i make on the fly, but it is pretty much useless for people who have thousands of samples on a memory card...

There is the chromatic scale, 12 tones, for the newer electribe. Would that work for you?
