- The absolute best 2D Mario Speedrun in my opinion is Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels warpless. And here it is, remade in Super Mario Maker 2! The original Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan, now in 1080p glory :0 but with completely different mechanics and changes, of course.

Thanks for playing once again! I'll admit, this one was a little more rushed and I took a lot more creative liberty compared to the SMB1 remake. If you check the maker profile, I've also remade all of the bonus worlds but there were too many levels to include in the super world itself. Really appriciate you taking the time to check this out

I beat SMB for the first time like an hour ago. I played a ton in the 90s but never beat it and recently started again with a mission. I may need to try speed running now xD

Kosmic, I have a probably useless idea, but,
In the 8-4 wrong warp you turn around faster if you do a backwards jump so,
If in 4-2 you do 2 bump method you enter the wrong warp pipe with a 376 instead of 375 on the timer. So, if you combined that with a backwards jump to slow down faster, go down the pipe, then do a fast acceleration in the warp zone room, (L, Nothing, R+A+B), is that enough to save a framerule over the 420 blazit method?
Probably not :P
You can save another fr with 2 bump if everything is 100% perfect but the way to do that is not backwards jump to the pipe, it's very complicated

Yo what is up with that Guinness business that you're having issues with. Talk about it.
It would be cool to see you try out non-mario platformers(of course if you don't like them don't bother). Super Meat Boy, Dustforce(more momentum based platformer but incredibly good and deep if you give it a chance), and Celeste are well known good ones. Getting world records probably won't happen though without serious effort.

The bigger difference is that it is not necessary for you to go into a coin cash in 5-3 and 7-2, which is necessary in the original game or else the level loops for forever.
Same with 8-2, but I'm not sure what you mean. All those levels required entering pipes in this remake.

Although I think keeping content tight on YT is a good thing I think you could have made this video longer. Listen I don't have the magic formula, the algorithm enjoys something between a high watch % and just plain high watch time. I think most on YT want to casually watch something while they're doing something else in terms of mario content else they'de have watched the vob right?

Hey Kosmic just wanted to say you that you can save time in your smb1 wr by not making that stupid mistake before the water part (8-4) where you just jumped over the pipe and had to come back

Undead Dragon if you don’t know he jumps over the pipe and stops pixel perfectly to wrong warp to the water room technically you can go way father and still wrong warp but obviously it would lose time and that’s not what he wants to do

I was a little put off. A speedrun shouldn't be fragmented, it defeats the purpose of watching someone do something faster than anyone else. You could have done literally anything between those time skips.
