- This Citizen Navihawk AT Blue Angels Edition is another of the nice watches I purchased right after the sale of the Rolex. I really like the looks of it, the watch dial is one of the busiest I've seen, but it really does make a statement, and the blue and yellow colorway of this model is striking!
I bought this watch years ago. I still wear it today and I get compliments almost every day at work, mostly because of the band.

Just picked up a Navihawk Blue Angel edition at TJ Maxx for $250! My jaw dropped when the girl told me the price and I had to have it! Beautiful watch!

Great review as usual. I have been eyeing this bad boy for over a year. It was high on my wish list and even higher now. As you know from the video I did on the Casio Wave Ceptor, these ani/dig watches are very complex under the hood and almost impossible to fix. But I will probably still get one, lol. I was hoping someone would spot that! Assuming the code is still good, I've had the watch for several months now (I'm WAY behind in editing still)... Anyhow, in the next few days I'll be dropping a video in response to UA-cam's recent unfair monetization policy change.... I just squeaked by, but It's still negatively impacting you and all my friends on UA-cam.... We need to do more collaborations or something to get you to the new goal quicker...

so basically you just bought it because you liked the colour, wow that is a hell of a sales pitch! The funny part in all of this is, I also bought it for that reason but also I had a citizen watch before and I like their products.

Yes a very busy dial. I like the band, but it looks like the clasp could be uncomfortable. I have a Seiko flightmaster (Black with yellow dial) and I thought it had a busy dial, but the Citizen takes the cake. But I'd still have it in my collection....
Why did Citizen cheap out and put mineral crystal on this watch. Not gonna lie the strap kind of looks good, and I like busy dials as I own a Nighthawk.
Well, I have it on a different strap now... that will be in another video probably this week. Nothing wrong with the strap, I wish it was a standard shark mesh (bare wire loops where it meets the springbars), and that it had a standard foldover clasp (not a fan of butterfly clasps).... just my preference. I decided to go a different way however as you will see... ;)
Citizens are starting to use Safire cristal on there limited edition red arrows models for 2019 skyhawks carnt wait. I will be defernaly buying one thats the only thing thats enoyed me in the past with citizens. Doing Safire cristal is the best thing they have decided to do.
Really hilarious way of reviewing crap :-D But what really made write a comment was when I saw that old TV you used for playing part of the instructions video - it's a TESLA! An old Czechoslovakian color TV! Only the most fortunate people used to own a color TV in socialistic Czechoslovakia, the rest had a B&W TV... And those who were really desperate to own a color TV, but were not lucky enough to get a TESLA, got a Soviet color TV, like Rubin or Selena... But you could only watch it in a radiation protection suit... :-D Great video, thank you!
František Soumar Didn't even notice the brand of the TV, just random Clipart I grabbed that had that vintage 80s TV look to it. I visited Czechoslovakia back around the time the Iron Curtain fell (I was in the US Army stationed nearby in West Germany) spent a weekend in Pilzen. Seemed like a nice place! :)
What an irony, we were mortal enemies and in your video, you randomly picked a clipart with piece of technology, that used to serve the opposing side propaganda, displaying the commies in full color, celebrating victories of working people, their struggle to defeat the capitalists, to free themselves from the oppresion and exploitation, to build a world where everyone is being provided according to his needs and merits... We certainly did try to get a glimpse of the west on these TV's as well, few of us had access to western movies, I remember how amazed I was when I first watched Rambo III, Red Scorpion, Top Gun and other crappy but satisfactorily anti soviet movies, where West always beats the East, because for us, it were Russians, who got kicked in the ass... :-) Those Russians, who invaded our country in 1968 and stayed there for over 30 years... I also remember how satisfactory it was to watch an Ice Hockey World Championship matches against Russians... Our only legal opportunity to kick their asses... Well, your clipart certainly brought back some memories... :-) If you visited Pilsen right after the iron curtain fell, it must have been a mess... Commies ruined most of the beauty of this country and it takes time to bring the old glory back... But we are much better now, most of the cities are clean and restored now, but to repair the mind and soul of this nation, it will take much more than just few decades... I hate commies for what they did to the east europen countries...
I thought it was fine, it didn't seem like anything was destroyed. Honestly, except for a few oddball cars I had never seen before , it felt like I could be in West Germany. Of course that was 30 years ago, and my memories could be a bit hazy... Now East Berlin was a different story, I don't think I've ever seen a place more grim in a supposedly modern country. Everything was grey, grey buildings, grey cars... Got a question, why does it seem everything in Pilsen was named Skoda? I stayed in the Hotel Skoda, which was near a factory that had a big "Skoda" sign, even the cigarettes I bought in town were labeled "Skoda".(blue pack with a drawing of a viking ship on it) I'm thinking it was a local brand of cars also.... just odd...
Skoda had nothing to do with communism... Skoda in Pilsen was once a pride of Czechoslovakian industry, and still is, but not as much as it was pre WWII. It was one of the largest industrial conglomerates in an entire Europe of the 20th century, founded by Emil Škoda in 1886 (thats where it names originates from), producing locomotives, aircrafts, ships, machine tools, steam turbines, guns and trolleybuses and trams. It was so big and advanced, that it was producing entire artillery weaponry for Austro Hungarian Navy dreadnoughts. One of the largest guns it was producing were 305mm howitzers... There is also Skoda Auto, now part of the Volkswagen group, who manfactures cars, including Skoda Superb (a VW Passat bigger cousin). But Skoda Auto is located in Mlada Boleslav, different region of Czech Republic and has nothing in common with Skoda Pilsen. Lol.... yes, those were the cigarettes!! It was 30 years ago and sometimes details get confused! I remembered blue, and I remembered the viking ship.... and I remembered it started with the letter "S".... :) I also remember that they smoked fine, but they SMELLED exactly like marijuana cigarettes (unfortunately didn't get me high). Took a couple packs back with me to base (Vilseck, Germany)... This was back in the days that the US Army had started a zero tolerance policy on weed, First Sergeant smelled what he thought was a joint in the barracks and we ALL had to pee in cups the next morning. Fortunately there was no THC in those Sparta cigarettes, but that's the last time I smoked them in the barracks. Lol....
I recently purchased this watch online. Once it arrived, the face was black and grey, although the model numbers match. Is this just a different color scheme? I haven't been able to view anything about them.
I've seen a black and grey one, as well as black and gold, and black and red. The model numbers should be different for all of these different variants.

Ok, to be more accurate. There IS a crown on the watch, but you cannot control the timekeeping hands with it. That is what I meant. ...
You're right about "controlling the hands" but you're still wrong by what you meant. You CAN manually set the time. This watch is a computer with only 3 buttons for input. If you are lost without manual hand control, then choose a watch that is simple enough for you to understand. Mickey Mouse is a good place to start.

I'm trying to decide between this watch with the band that I don't care for or the newer Skyhawk but the latter doesn't have the yellow splash of color my boyfriend loves. Is it possible to change the band on this watch? Asking for my boyfriend's birthday gift
Yes, in fact I replaced it with a blue rubber strap from Borealis (I did a review of it as well) You may want to consider the Blue Angels version of the Nighthawk also, with the same blue/yellow colors and it comes with a blue leather strap.

He got a little emotional as he has wanted a Blue Angels watch for the past 10 years. He couldn't believe that I remembered his love for a Blue Angel watch and that I actually got it for him!

I was going to say obviously yes, but I thought better of it and researched the topic with the online manual for this movement (122 pages!)
And wouldn't you know it, NOWHERE in the manual does it mention this feature! So it looks like the Navihawk does NOT have this feature!
... it DOES have an alarm (that I never use), but no hourly chime. I think EVERY other digital watch I've owned has both of these features.

is jomashop a good place to order from? i went to citizen to try this watch on and they wanted to sell it for $550 bucks and jomashop has it for $360. why is that could anybody clear this up?
morgen dikmen Jomashop is a grey market reseller. I've purchased this watch through them and it was fine. However, if your watch needs to be serviced, you will have to go through Jomashop for warranty work, Citizen does not cover grey market watches. Keep in mind, the vast majority of watches will run problem free for the warranty period anyway, so a $200 price difference might be worth the risk.

It looks like an optical illusion.
True, I got a similar citizen (3 sub dials.. don't remember ref.) and it is busy as hell, but at a glance the background just turns into a gray mess and the hands are very legible.
