Thanks this was really useful. Just realized the parts supplier had only sent one of the bearings! I'm replacing the door seal and tub seal too as the machine is now 10 years old and the door seal got chewed up when the bearings failed. Very helpful and clear video.
Thanks for the video helped enormously. Just done my Samsung 12kg washer/dryer, took about 5hrs as a bit tricker with the dryer part and gave most of the parts a good clean. Now loverly and quiet again.
Nice job thanks. My only comment is not to whack the drum out using the centre bolt, it easily bends so replace with a new bolt if you do this. Also when splitting the plastic drum watch out for one bolt that comes through from the other side. Great video thank you
the insurance co.that I have mine with said my samsung eco bubble was obsolete ,after 5 weeks of waiting for the repair .it works but it's noisy on the last cycle .before the dry I paid, £246 upfront for 3 years insurance due to expire nov 2030,the offered me the choice of either 1 of two hot point machines that I do not want .so they offered me £305. and will loose the insurance that I paid .my advice is never pay insurance upfront .
That’s a hell of a repair. Good job but i’m an experienced DIYer but won’t be having a go at this. Will put up with the noise! Mine is a washer dryer though so lot of other bits in there too.
Very helpful , got my machine which is a 10.5kg Ecobubble dismantled in 1.5hrs - now to order the bearings - my only query being given the trouble getting the drum out of the original bearings is it really just a push fit for the drum back into the new bearings ?
Ceau Gabi, excelent video, mi-a dat curaj s-o desfac pe-a mea. Imi place abordarea "Vorba multa saracia omului". For the 11 kg washer, the inner bearing (larger) is 6207Z, that is the one that usually needs replacement. The outer bearing (smaller) is 6206Z, mine was OK. The seal dimensions are ID 45.5mm, OD 84mm, thickness 10mm on outside 12mm inside (it has another protection lip on the inner diameter). I couldn't buy the seal from outside the SAMSUNG spares supply chain, their part number is DC62-00156A, AUD $19 to $49 depending on supplier. Few tips: - clean up the shaft and bearing hubs thoroughly. - the seal needs to stay just a little bit below the tub face. Practically it can be pushed another 2mm further down, but then it won't sit in the right location on the shaft. - the shaft has a stainless sleeve right where the seal would sit, I had a suspicion some water could leak between the S/S sleeve and main shaft, I've put some loctite sealant in that gap too and I replaced the thin O ring with a larger one. That O ring will be compressed by the inner bearing. - noisy bearing may not be a problem for some, but it can shortly lead to more damage. The bearing fails because the seal failed and that lets water come out at the back of the tub. - I have sprayed some fish oil (anti rust) inside the hub and on the portion of shaft between the bearings. And also on the spider arm, but I had plenty of time to get that dry before assembling the washer. Cheers Sever
LG and/or Samsung washing machines despite nowadays they always use split tub so that's why they are easy to replace the bearing if the bearing is needed replacement, unlike most other washing machines nowadays, especially I have to complain about European Whirlpool made washing machines (Indesit/Hotpoint) for a good example, you will get hard to remove the tub to replace the bearing because they also use sealed tub too. I just don't know will the bearing on many washing machines use sealed tub be lasting longer at least from 3 to 7 years? Because I decide to buy a Beko or even Electrolux washing machine but I am worrying because both of them are also using sealed tub too, can the bearing on both said machines get broken easily even using low spin speed? 😐🙁
I get ya. It seems to be a common theme with everything these days. Makes everything less serviceable. Meaning entire assemblies need to be replaced instead of individual parts. Im a mechanic and have been seeing this happen in cars for years now. Even on the subject of bearings. I remember we used to press individual bearings in and out of wheel hubs at a lower cost. Now its more and more hub assemblies that need replaced, alot of them containing ABS sensors in them which can make what used to be a £10 part or less now cost £50-£100. Its a joke!
Hello Gabi, Great video. At this moment nearly the same problem with my 12 kg Samsung eco bubble. Taken it apart, assy flange shaft is defect. Maybe I have to replace the bearings, don't know yet. Can you tell me what the white stuff is that you putt around the bearings? Thanks in advance. Iwan
Hello Gabi, Thanks for your reply. Bearings where allright, the cross on the back of the drum was shattered, I replaced it. Works ok again. Happy holidays. Kind regards, Iwan
Hi Thx for the video, I need to order bearings and Simmering to. A view questions: Are these the correct article numbers:? Bearing:DC97-16011G ASSY DRUM;WF80F7E6P6W3EN and Simmering DC62-00156A Do I need 2 the same bearings? Thx, for your time!
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, my teacher. Can I have a phone number? I want to consult with you about a malfunction of one of the washing machines like this one, so that you can hear the sound that is emitted inside it.

Thanks for info. Got my bearing kit for 12kg Samsung and wondered why the seal was larger ID than the inner bearing ID but the sleeve now makes sense.
Great video! Thank you so much.
My drum has a lot of movement and is very noisy so this may be a job for me!

All bearings wear over time, lower spin will help to a degree but will still wear.

Omg! Heavy handed!
Hi!
What glue did you use for the rubber seal? Doesn't it make the next removal impossible?
Red silicone for hight temperature 300 grd
nice
God bless you .
Muy bien gracias es un buen trabajo
Salut! De unde ai luat rulmenți?
Смазку надо наносить внутрь сальника а не снаружи!! Так как на видео новый подшипник очень скоро выйдет из строя
Жир находится внутри уплотнения, которое видно белым, это силикон для уплотнения.
Good video. Big job! I have same model with noisy bearings.
Which model is disassembled here?

How to order the bearing and seal I'm in new zealand?
You can find in your country... search on Google.

Possibly the locking system at the top of the door

Very helpful
As a repair man it takes to much time to do the job which makes it to expensive for the customer.

Hello. Maybe rub the drum on the door gasket ... I don't know if I can't check certain things.
lol you can't see half of the repair
It'd be better if he wasn't doing it in a darkened shed
I don't know what happened, but all the clips no longer have the original resolution and light. I will talk to the youtube administrators.
