    Billy, I know Italians, who are the most frequent foreigners here. And they really aren't worried about the "with unfinished buildings", exception of metrô, in their opinion as in mine, the strong points of Fortaleza are that it is a 100% tropical climate (it is not equatorial, without extreme air humidity), without 4 seasons, without temperature range (city by the sea), no earthquakes, no hurricanes, and there is no civil war here. Fortaleza is a safe place for those who are from the middle class and upwards, have a car, and I actually carry my iPhone almost everywhere , because I know everything here, I prefer shopping malls and sports clubs, and possibly parks, and any restaurants. The coast (Beira Mar) and beaches are more for those who enjoy sports, cycling and walking for kilometers, I think, most people here prefer to stay in tents on the beaches of other municipalities, in water parks, in inns, in restaurants at the edge of the beach.

      @@BillyGringo cada cidade tem sua vibe, e eu acho que aqui é o clima, eu não curto 4 estações, conheço 4 estações, mas no meu caso não me adaptei. Amplitude térmica(variação diária de 10ºC na temperatura, ou anual de 20ºC) também não me adaptei( A amplitude témica de Fportaleza média é de 5ºC, no máximo no ano, diária é 2ºC), a questão de segurança é importante, mas como vc sabe, vc vai ser assaltado mais porque tem que facilitar muito, eu tenho 55 anos de idade e galera do meu trabalho também, cara, ninguém foi assaltado, mas veja, nunca frequentei praia a noite, depois da 22 horas. Ou andei sozinho no centro da cidade , por exemplo, depois das 18 horas, porque simplesmente acabou o expediente e não fica ninguém lá no centro.Tem comportamentso ´básicos, vc tem razão, para estar seguro.

      @@BillyGringo Vc falou o esquema que eu acho melhor, Aquiraz, cumbuco, Icarai, tenho apartamento no icarai, vou no Beach Park quase todo ano, mas prefiro o chico do carangueijo no Cumbuco. O roteiro depende da idade, tem gente que prefere ira praia do futuro, por exemplo, tem gosto para tudo mesmo.

    • @BillyGringo
      @BillyGringo  8 місяців тому +2

      Fala, irmão!! Tudo bem? Estou de acordo com tudo que você está falando e falei praticamente o mesmo, só que nas minhas próprias palavras. Não sou bom de seguir roteiro nem notas quando faço meus vídeos, então tento decorar tudo e sair falando e às vezes acabo esquecendo de falar certas que na verdade nem faz mal porque pode servir para outro vídeo no futuro. Porém, nos Estados Unidos já fui assaltado mais de uma vez, já testemunhei um tiroteio no meu colégio na minha infância, entre muitas outras coisas tristes. Eu não acho Fortaleza perigosa, mas o bicho pode pegar se a pessoa vacilar, como em qualquer lugar do mundo. E as coisas que eu conto no canal vem através da minha experiência e minha realidade, diferente dos italianos. Enfim, ainda estou aprendendo como fazer UA-cam e eu amo o Brasil! Graças a Deus eu nasci brasileiro! Kkkk

      @@BillyGringo Tem razão, por falar de experiência, eu não conheço canoa quebrada, beberibe, e Fortim, no litoral oeste conheço até Chaval. Os italianos preferem o litoral leste, e eu, o oeste. NO litoral leste, so fui até o Porto das Dunas, na verdade eu não entendo o litoral leste, não me sinto "seguro" no sentido e de ficar "perdido no espaço", já no litoral oeste fico extremamente a vontade, não sei qual é o motivo.

    Good tips.
    Other cons: no TP in the toilet, crazy expensive electronics, insane taxes on amazon shipments, lack of variety in many supermarkets, portuguese not as easy to learn as spanish and not much English.

      Absolutely, you're right about those points you mentioned. I have some of those topics in mind for my next video. The truth is, I struggle with following a script and even reading off notes; I tend to get tongue-tied. So, I try to memorize what I'm going to say, which can results in forgetting things. But I'm working on it!

    Center-South Brazil all the way. Cost of living is higher thou.

    • @BillyGringo
      @BillyGringo  8 місяців тому

      I totally get what you’re saying about Central South America, and I agree it’s a great place. I actually prefer going even further south, like Santa Catarina but the main reason I don’t make it my permanent home is because I’m all about that warm weather, and it gets a bit too chilly for me down there. Still, I do spend time there every couple of years, especially during the warm months or for work purposes. I actually regret not being there right now because they’re having a heat wave and it’s supposedly gonna last until February. I’m planning to head there at the end of this year or in January. Even though people might say the cost of living is higher, and in many cases, it is, I’ve figured out how to adapt. I can maintain a similar cost of living as I do here in Fortaleza, you just need to know where to look for the right options.
      Thanks for the comment!
