Ice Breaker is themed around the Arctic Circle, not Antarctica. That’s why it’s next to Wild Arctic and not Antarctica.

Or, more likely, it's themed to the Arctic because it's next to Wild Arctic. Had it been put next to Antarctica, then it would have an Antarctic theme. And if it were in Busch Gardens, it would have an African theme. In other words, the "theme" here is clearly pasted on and has exactly zero to do with the actual experience.

@@kevinbhieey9188 I suppose it's a bit clever to call a ride with a lot of bunny hills "Ice Breaker"--the motion is like the ship, when it drives up onto thick ice and drops through it.

Honestly this ride is something Seaworld really needed. There are always those coasters at parks that are a stepping stone to the more intense rides at a park, and Ice Breaker is not only a perfect balance of intensity for thrill-seekers, but is such an accessible coaster for those who want not only want a more laid-back ride, but a coaster that can still leave an amazing impression despite being sort of a "family" coaster. Definitely a big and very welcome surprise!

I mean - other than the intimidation of the height and speed of Mako - This ride definitely has more intense moments. In the front row hitting the hill into the tophat after the final launch is an absolute insane moment of ejector.

I rode it twice ... once in the 2nd to last row and once in row 3. It is an OK ride. I honestly wished that I'd like it more than I did. I was hoping my opinion would change on my 2nd ride, but it didn't. Maybe I'm just not an ejector airtime guy. Given the best-in-class floater airtime of Mako, it does make a nice compliment to the park.

    • @euph0ric0ne72
      @euph0ric0ne72 2 роки тому +1

Exactly! This ride was EXTREMELY underwhelming. The alow back and forth seems pointless, almost just like a gimmick...the shoulder bar is soft on your shoulders but hard on your head and face when it shakes you around. It is not tall at all, the first drop is okay, but it is soon killed by the immediate harsh head bashing into the shoulder straps. And before you know it, it is over.
Mako is a real coaster, I would consider this a kids starter coaster.

I just rode it today for the first time with my friend who was visiting, There was no line at all, wuth under a 5 minute wait! Not a good sign for a brand new coaster. We were wondering why and found out quickly when it was for me, like getting on Tigris, same crappy cars very hard to get on and off the train, too tight and uncomfortable. I won't ride Tigris, not worth the wait or pain for under a minute ride! This coaster beat both of us up. We got off not even wanting to give it a second try even with not line to wait in. Both of us ageeing we will not ride it again. I like a smooth fast ride with Floater air time, not a restricted uncomfortable seat and a ride that beats the crap out of you. The "comfort" straps slaped my arms and beat my ears up. I got thrown all over the place and going into the second part of the coaster, my lap restraint went in tighter on me just like Tigris does coming down the last hill making it terribly uncomfortable to me. I guess I am not an ejector airtime person either. Mako is the best Coaster in the park! I'll take the Floater air time anyday over ejector.

I mean the Sky Rocket model has taken off, but it seems like we haven't seen a huge boom in any of their other coasters outside of that. I will say this has very nice moments of ejector, especially the second launch forward into the top hat. Has some decent laterals and a good sense of speed throughout.
My problem with it? THOSE LAP BARS! On my ride, I got stapled so badly, I felt it a day later. I don't know if this is a problem with all Premier Rides trains, but these bricks single-handedly ruined what may have actually been a fun experience.

This is not a family coaster like marketed. A family coaster usually has a height requirement between 40"- 44" even 46" or 48" is a little high, but 54" is insane. Steel Vengeance is 52" and Ice Breaker has a height requirement higher than Steel Vengeance or Iron Gwazi which is 48". The trouble with riders over 48" and below 54" was the comfort collars. If the comfort colors were a problem with smaller riders remove them. Phobia Phear Coaster goes upside down and just has a lap bar without the comfort collars. I have seen these on Tigris and Tempesto. I have ridden Tempesto more because my home parks are Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg and I had more of a problem with the comfort collars on Tempesto then on Tigris. I don't hate these I actually kind of like them because it makes me feel more comfortable on the train. Out of the 3 Icebreaker is my favorite and my 11th favorite out of the 57 coasters I have ridden. Your videos are awesome and I hope to see more in the future.

Ice Breaker has the same 54" height requirement as Mako, Manta, Kraken, and when Pipeline the Surf Coaster opens it will also have a 54" height requirement. The next lowest height requirement for a coaster or water ride what ever you want to call Journey to Atlantis is 42" and Super Grover's has a 38" height requirement. Kids that are over 42" and under 54" can only ride 2/7 roller coasters here. If you have kids 42"- 54" take them to Busch Gardens Tampa because they have a better selection of rides like Cobra's Curse, Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt, and Scorpion which all have a minimum height requirement of 42" or 48". When visiting with kids I recommended riding Cobra's Curse out of the 4 first and making your way up the ladder to Cheetah Hunt, Scorpion, and Iron Gwazi.

Wow ! nice coaster but I had to watch this review twice because I was more focused on the two of you as a couple... You guys look so good and happy as a couple.
This may sound weird, but I have been a sub for a long time and watching Taylor grow up so to speak from a kid to a young man.... I don't know what I'm trying to say : (

Really hope SeaWorld considers a Mack family invert to replace Wild Arctic. An enclosed 1700' coaster on that plot would fill the gap between Super Grover's and Ice Breaker perfectly.

I went here and I was lucky enough to get here right after Kraken was done being repainted and it was open but I got here to early and ice breaker wasn’t open yet, I live in Illinois right next to six flags great America and this was the only other major park I have ever been to besides great America and Disney world

Just got back from it and I think this was the first ejector experience iv ever had. It caught me off guard and I was wondering if this was an error on my part. Like did I not have the restraint all the way down?

Shambala offers stronger airtime than Mako because it has no trims. For you, I'd guess it's less than 3,000 miles too?

I am so confused at people saying this ride is good? The hard/soft shoulder bars that smash against your head, the slow buildup with a pointless back and forth, and the extremely short ride time....I would never ride this ride again. Maybe a ride for younger kids who want to try to get some courage, but for people who like real coasters like Mako..this is absolutely pointless and painful.

I think this or kraken is the weakest coaster at seaworld but it’s still a great fun time, unfortunately it breaking down constantly has been concerning.
I only feel it could be the weakest because all the coasters at seaworld Orlando to me are really solid

Premier trains are a nightmare. You can't even lay your foot on the floor properly. You have to lay it sideways. The restraints don't auto pop up, hate that. The comfort collar are annoyingly awkward to remove and they won't sit to the side and they also don't feel very open. Never like a restraint that comes down on me either. And always prefer a train without shin guards.... looking at you RMC. Their trains aren't much better. The 2 worst in the business, I think.
