It was not to underrated, it was one of many number one hits for Reba. She is one of my all time favorites and just seen her in concert and she still can bring it.
Reba is the real deal. Just stellar all the way around. She Thinks His Name Was John, Whoever's in New England, Somebody Should Leave and The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia are just a few of her many many hits. Her videos are epic as well. Awesome reaction.
The song is about a man who is unsure what he wants to do (it never specifies if there's another woman in the song itself....only in the vid). Does he wanna stay with her or let her go? He doesn't wanna hurt her so he goes thru each day pretending nothings changed...thats the lie. And she can feel it. Now...the vocals...I'm a singer too Asia...Im sure u know she's neither using just her chest nor just her head voice...she's using both at the same time (thats the least technical way I know to put it). There's a spot in all of our voices that, if one can hold it properly, is right on the edges of both the head voice (falsetto) AND the chest voice (regular)...it's right before we switch into our upper registers. That's what she's hitting here. Not everyone's is the same.
Reba is so good at making you feel what she’s singing. I would get all emotional listening to this song as a teenager, knowing I didn’t know jack about grown folks stuff! 😂😂😂
This is my favorite song, of hers!!! I'm SOOO glad you watched the video---the visual adds so much!! Reba's an actual cowgirl, in real life!! She grew-up as a ranch-hand, along with her 3 siblings, on her father's 8,000 acre ranch---she was practically born on a horse!! She also won a little money and a couple of belt buckles, in rodeos---at least one of her sisters was a champion barrel racer!! Her father and grandfather were rodeo champions; last I knew, her brother still participates!!!
@@catwhisperer9489 unfortunately where I lived the venues were not big enough to hold her. She would have had to book several shows like Garth brooks did when I saw him. But she is on my list of people I’d love to see.
@Candi Lumpkin : Oh, yes, you must!! She doesn't do the huge productions, anymore, but she's still, MAJORLY, worth every penny!! The first time I saw her, during one of her songs (unfortunately, I can't remember which one; it was about 35 years ago), she walked across the stage, to the viewer's right, went-up some stairs (all while singing), to a platform,; walked t'ward the viewer's left, stopped in the middle, then continued-on, to an elevator, on the the viewer's left. She entered the elevator, and when she got to the bottom, she exited in a different outfit!!! She also, later, stepped onto a mobile stage, with a fence all the way around it, and then it "flew" out over the audience, while she sang a song!! Here's one of her production performances, from back in the day.... ua-cam.com/video/Jvp2g5CvXKg/v-deo.html
@@catwhisperer9489 oh wow. That was great. I forgot about that song as well. I was such a fan of her ballads. I would sing her songs at karaoke all the time. But of course I didn’t have that twang😂
I was a kid in the 80's and lived with my grandparents in the woods. My grandpa was a logger, and we lived on site in a trailer. Whenever we go into town, which took 2 hours. I had her tape and listened to this song laying in the back seat of the bronco on my walkman many times. Always brings me back.
Bj better go on with all that “friendly kiss” mess 🤣 Omg Reba is the Queen, she has an amazing voice and is a legend in country music PLEASE react to “I know how he feels” by Reba!!!!!!
Reba is one of the greatest country artists of all time. I am glad you decided to find her. Cannot wait for you to discover her other songs. Fancy would be my first suggestion......but it is a very deep, very hard song to listen to.
Yes ASiA 🙋🏻♀️saw it too! Love Rebaand this song- I would love for you y’all to react to Wynona Judd “That was yesterday!” Country with some BIG time blues! Talk about telling a man something..Ooo weeee! 🔥. 🧡💙
Her voice is just so amazing. Love REBA! and you know that is her on that horse.. she was a champion Barrel racer back in the day... Her Daddy was a Champion rodeo king. she ain't some fake country singer. I've heard that she actually has an opera voice.. and she said no to that career.. she just wanted to be a country music singer. and one of the best ever to me.
This is such a great song! you should check out "And Still" "The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia" "Does He Love You" Edit: and "Why haven't I Heard from You"
Great Song and Great Reaction. Just wanted to tell you about the first time my mom saw this video. I was in another room and I heard her saying My God, Reba. What the Hell. I was curious waht was going on so I walked in and said what are you going on about Reba. She said this is so damn stupid, I cant believe she is singing this. I was so confused because she seem pissed. I said what are you talking about, its a good song I like it. She said well I think its stupid her singing to a damn horse. I started laughing shes not singng to the horse mom. Why do you think that. well there she is singing July you dont want to hurt me, July.. She thought she thats was the name of the horse she was riding. Julyyyyy lol I laughed for awhile but finally was able to stop and explain, no mom shes not saying July, its You Lie.
I didn't see the video before I already luvd the song. Didn't mention cheating in the song so... To me he didn't want to stay in the relationship, she was more invested than he was and he didn't know how to leave. Heartbreaker and the word "lie" never sounded so good.
I haven't heard this in years. I forgot how great it was. Great enough to bring the feelings from that long time ago RIGHT back. "Kiss? She's just a friend, baby." ... right...
Glad ya like Reba! Excited for ya'll to check out Reba's song, "Is there life out there". I'll watch anyone react to that 'cause millions of people can relate to it. I'll keep an eye out 'cause even the pickiest of people wont dislike that song with that video.
I remember seeing and being at the rodeo when Reba was married to Charlie, lol. Plus, her sister sings fantastically, and her brother Pake has a couple albums out there.
What a lot of people don't know Reba was a pretty good cowgirl from here in SE Oklahoma. She's a down to earth lady. One of the best we have in country music.
OMG that was so funny Asia! Look it took her five minutes to train that horse and that dirt bag was getting bucked off and kicked off. That was sooooo good!
Don’t think it’s really about him cheating. He’s just not in love with her anymore but he pretends because he doesn’t wanna hurt her, and she ignores all the signs just to prolong the inevitable - him leaving her.
As a man who is most likely older than y'all are as well as some of y'all's audience, I'll admit that there are times when a man "lies" to his wife or girlfriend because he's thinkin about her emotional feelin's. I ain't sayin that it's right because it ain't... Sometimes a man just needs to think before he speaks and tone it down a bit before he says anything at all. When a man loves a woman, he'll take pretty much anything she has to say and do his best to smile even if it's a "jagged edge sword" to protect the one that he loves. Just sayin what's in my ole heart...
I remember that song as a child but it didn't mean much then Obviously, i could appreciate the vocals because all of Reba's music is powerful but l didn't have enough life experience to relate to the lyrics. Years later, after willingly playing the fool for months; that song hit me in a totally different way.
Lee Greenwood - She's Lying; John Conlee - She can't say that any more Daryle Singletary - I let her Lie John Anderson - Your Lying Blues Eyes George Jones - Sholder to Sholder (Taking about the lies you've told) Vern Gosdin - This Ain't My First Rodeo
For All We Know is off of their self titled album Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway (correct spelling) from 1972. And my bad Roberta does not play the flute track. Still an amazing song and voice! Haha!
This is such an underrated song. Her vocals were amazing in this song!
I totally agree---it's my favorite of hers!!
It was not to underrated, it was one of many number one hits for Reba. She is one of my all time favorites and just seen her in concert and she still can bring it.
Agree 💯
One of my favorites
One of my top favs
"Somebody Should Leave"...a great Reba classic!!!
An often forgotten duet was Reba and Vince Gill “The Heart Won’t Lie”. It’s beautiful- video is wonderful. Two country icons!
I love that song and would love to see them react to it.
I remember when this song came out. It has SO much emotion in it. One of my favorites of hers.
You can never go wrong with Reba❤️ another great oldie from Reba is “And Still”
I agree---butcha gotta watch the video!! The visual adds so much---plus, Reba's playin' the piano!!

My favorite Reba thanks
Reba is a treasure. I was young when she had most her hits and knew the songs but to hear them today I really appreciate her voice.
Reba is so good at making you feel what she’s singing. I would get all emotional listening to this song as a teenager, knowing I didn’t know jack about grown folks stuff! 😂😂😂

This is a great album great song. Reba is the queen of country. Her live performances on award shows are always the best
...and, in concert!!!
I've seen her in concert; UNREAL---especially when she did those major productions, and danced, and had backup dancers!!! ❤️

Greatest female country song
I saw Reba back in the 90s. She has such a great voice, and it really soars here.
THAT… is the voice of an Angel right there!!!
Rebas voice is outta this world good.
Reba is my all time favorite artist
One of my favorite singers her songs are so real and her voice Amazing one of a kind I'm from NY and iv been a big fan since 1985
I always felt the horse being let go at the end, represented her. Finally letting go, and being free once more.
That cracks me every time Asia says this look it took her 5 minutes to tame this horse. So good.
Her voice makes me cry. Sooooo beautiful.....and those high notes😂
Reba is a living legend, such a beautiful voice.
I was a kid in the 80's and lived with my grandparents in the woods. My grandpa was a logger, and we lived on site in a trailer. Whenever we go into town, which took 2 hours. Other good Reba songs are “If I Had Only Known”, “Read My Mind”, and “Why Haven’t I Heard From You?”

"You Lift Me Up" is one of her first songs. Her sister also does some harmonies that make it spectacular.
My favorite country song sung by my favorite country singer ❤
This is such a beautifully sad song
Reba when she was younger took part in rodeos. Her father was a champion rodeo rider.
Another one of those songs I popped a lot of tops to back when...🎶🎵❤️❤️❤️

Aw man I played this song over and over and over after a break up back when! Reba is a legend love her voice!
That’s classic, old school Reba. Growing up in rural Texas in the ‘80s, we all had a big crush on that red headed angel!
This is real country music!! Love Reba!! She has a sitcom called Reba she's also a really good actress!
The Greatest Man I Never Knew and She Think His Name Was John are two of her songs that hold a lot of meaning.
I love The Greatest Man I Never Knew. So much meaning.
The Greatest Man I never knew reminds me so much of my father.
My favorite Reba song is "The Greatest Man I Never Knew."
She's saying he lies because he doesnt want to tell her that he doesn't love her and wants to leave.

Reba was heard singing the national anthems at the rodeo shows by a producer….true that. The rest as they say…is history.
