  • Writer Grant Morrison was interview by Geekscape about his projects with Virgin Comics. I don't think Jonathan was ready to hear about the "Hyper Entity". Consider your mind about to get blown!

haha. No, it was the last hour on the last day of SDCC and I was in PAIN. My voice was gone, I was sick as a dog... now that you think of it, I was about to cry! I've spoken to Morrison a few times since and did better those times! Thanks for watching!

He is actually getting the bigger picture, the man is delivering some profound concepts on reality.
I hope he starts working on his own work soon.
Give it a thought to what he says, just try. :)
    Peace

My perception is that self seems to be a phase in consciousness when inside the physical form. If all sentient life came from a source or super mind than it seems to me the super mind split and created multiple versions of itself so that it can be enabled to have infinite experiences through the multitude of perceptions.

6:59 is where he asks GM to explain the Hyper Entity, in case you want to skip past the boring boilerplate interview questions.

Anybody else reminded of Donnie Darko when he talks about time? That's the first thing I thought of

Now imagine the same concept with all the planets, stars, and galaxies going back to the Big Bang when there was no distinction or duality.

@natmanprime actually the concept of "self" is human made. When people like Alexander the great would say they heard the "voice of god" it really was their conscious, but no name for it yet.

Its almost as if he's describing the plot to Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke.

Sounds like Grant got his idea from Donnie Darko particularly the time streamline that follows where a person has been in time.

"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to fables."

@EdjeBos Cheers for the advice Edje, I took your advice jumped in a lake and waited for Jesus to save me...nearly freaking drowned in that lake thanks to you. Luckily a passing freemason fished me out just as I was about to sink into my watery grave. Freemasonry FTW!

    @EdjeBos Yeah, about that.
That's fine and all if you believe that, but some of us don't so. You know, he might not be a Puppet, so much as a man who doesn't live his life by a book of metaphors written a thousand years ago.

This doesn't quite explain the other physical objects in reality. Sure, it paints a pretty picture, it creates this central being, or as he puts it "anemone". But if you were to visualize the other physical objects --such as the computer in front of you-- you'd realize that everything has a "centipede" trail.
The message he gives is merely an abstraction.
I'd take a leap and say that all that is, especially in terms of physics, is just a continuous deterministic fluctuation of sub-particles.

There will come a time when people all over the world will strive to think for themselves, to seek wisdom without the constraint of caustic religions which are caught up in their own exclusive dogmatic traps, which are blinded by unquestioning faith to their own veiled fascism, and the world will be better for it.

@smi2ler Did he ask you to take an oath before he saved you? Nothing for nothing in freemasonry.. If he didn't, the 'bill' will come. I saw they flagged my comment. Long live freedom of speech. Well, if you consider Bush, Cheney, Pike, etc. good company, be a happy fellow. I myself distrust secrecy. That's how this modern world was build. And isn't it a beauty...

@Xephon212 haha you said it right! But I feel sorry for that pathetic interviewer, he barely can say something worth listening and also can't keep up with Grant's story, why did he think he could do it?? He better go and do some weather forecasting, this is too much for him.
