On a whole there is definitely something wrong with this video, the government over there is so corrupt they've let it get to this stage. But as far as what your talking about i agree everyone should have the right to point out the terrible job they are doing running the country regardless of sex or even where they are from. Obviously that government has basically run that country into the ground to put all the money to south africa

This video is 5 months old as of January 2020, and Wodemaya started his Africa to the world movement around January 2019 or earlier than that. So i think he was at the very least mistaken when he said this video was the main inspiration for his Africa to the world tour on UA-cam.
Also this video does an amazing job of highlighting a very important problem which is the pollution in this part of Ghana. It doesn't misrepresent Ghana's image in my opinion. It is far better for us to be aware of problems like this so that we can think of possible solutions than sweep it under the rug and act like its all good here. Thanks for making a video like this because even though I've been in Accra all my life I never knew the extent of this problem.

Call Wode Maya a liar or whatever you like. But I don't think he is.
He never said he opened UA-cam because of this. He has been operating his UA-cam channel in China, trying to tell the Chinese the African stories the Chinese media hide from them. But this video triggered him to triggered him to come back to Africa and do videos that will focus on the beautiful zones of Africa. If you read the testimonies of the Africans in diaspora on Wode Maya page, you will understand the importance of showcasing the beauty of Africa. When the whites come here to shoot video, they do that in the slums, but hide the slums in their country away from the camera.
Wode Maya is doing just great.

Thank you so much for your documentary showing us where electronic devices end up after they have been consumed: in dump sites in Africa or in developing countries.
This coverage of where used electronic equipment end up is very well-done, making me think twice about the purchases I make or plan to make in the future and its impact on human lives and the environment.
But I also know that this knowledge will not stop me from buying more electronic devices because that is the future; but I would hope that this information and the awareness that this documentary brings will help us all think again about moving to create more environmentally-friendly and safe electronic products, both as producers and consumers!

We cannot hide the bad parts of Africa and silence the stories of some of it’s people for the sake of changing the narrative. There might be money in Ghana but the fact is the majority of people are poor. If we keep sugar coating it, that will never change. We must tell both stories.

It’s a horrible self created economy, that destroys its own workers over time.
Like a trap that brings people to try and make a life through the recycling of Electonic- waste, yet takes it in exchange.
I hope the project, funded by Kenya will be set in place soon and that the danger’s, do to environment and work conditions, decreases.

It's hard to admit but this is true and I have seen worst places than this area. Most people have no idea on how to dispose off electronics in Ghana. Ghana as a whole doesn't have good waste disposal system. Usually they try to burn them or bury them in landfills. I still have breathing problems even years after moving from Ghana abroad because my school was close to a place where the whole community disposed off refuse and it was burnt there. Due to the direction of the wind the fumes passed through the school and all these young kids inhale this causing problems later in life.

I am going to be honest. I did not like this video when i first saw it. After watching you and Wode Maya's video, i realised my dislikeness. I appreciate the importance now. This will bring awareness to E-waste and the effects on the environment in Ghana. It is always the less fortunate that suffer. Thank you Vanessa for doing what you do. From a Ghanaian in the diaspora, your videos keep reminding me of my beautiful country and the potential it has. I am a subscriber now and just started following you on IG. Thank you

No correlation to flooding but contaminates or pollutes the river and the environment where the activity is taking place killing the fish and other species residing within the river.

This is very shameful to see. This is what is happening all around the world. The developed countries always dump their wastes on the less developed ones for money in return. Like my country Ghana it received money to build recycling plants and machines that will be used to recycle all these e-wastes.in order to reduce the negative impact on the lives of people living near the waste dump sites. The government of has received the money but refused to build a facility that can recycle these e-wastes. Therefore given the opportunity for the unemployed in the society to create a job for themselves in order to make a living. This is so sad. African leaders wake up and stop this nonsense. We have sold our precious continent to the white folks. Our people sold through slavery. We have sold our gold diamonds oils timber cocoa coffee bauxite uranium and all to these developed countries to advance their economies for a small amount of money. Our people of Africa continue to be poor because of this. And now look at this. Even after extraction of the best part from these minerals and produce they will come and dump the waste product into Africa again at the expense of the lives of our people. What an insult. African governments must stop all these bullshits going on in our continent. This is why the white man will never respect African people because they always think we are stupid. Let’s break this cycle ourselves please. Never again shall we allow these developed countries and white communities to trample on us as Africans. Let’s wake up. Let’s share this video all over the world folks.

I have 2 screwdrivers, a knife, a hammer, and some pliers and that’s all I need to salvage copper from wires and old electronics, I’ve never burned it to get the metals, but Europe and America needs to have stricter control about e waste too

do not run for Every new coming TV for fridge,
try to avoid in neccesay electronic product
