‘Control of the motions’ - A very well thought out and performed video. Great audio, well filmed and excellent snare drum sound. Good use of on-screen excepts. However, and with the greatest respect, how do the presented exercises and accompanying book differ in substance from material such as Morello books on hand technique, GL Stone and Wilcoxin readers? Nevertheless a fine exemplar of video education on a complex subject. Well done sir.
Hi Terry. Thanks for the kind words. You ask a good question. Despite how this video may appear, the Snare Drum Virtuoso is not a book of exercises. It features studies in the style of etudes that apply technical vocabulary in the format of pieces or repertoire. I would say that that is the main difference. The free sample on the website may make this clearer. Kind regards, Jonathan
exactly that I'm exploring and working on right now... your video gives me confidence I'm on the right way
Great! I'm glad this has been helpful for you. Keep me informed of your progress.
I was thinking about this approach just the other day.
Excellent! Thx so much
Thanks, I really need to work on this!
