    It would be really cool if a board could introduce a push mode, which uses a small amount of the battery to counter the weight of the board and make it feel like your pushing a normal longboard. I’m always concerned about the range of a eboard because pushing them when the battery dies is brutal. But if I could spend some stretches of my trip pushing and saving a considerable amount of battery, I wouldn’t be concerned about the range as much.
    Edit: just saw that unlimited X loaded has this feature

      @@saxonbuckley9192 they still slow you down on the bustin boards just less than a normal hub motor does. above 20 mph they slow you down pretty quickly if you let off, but once you drop below 20 they coast a bit smoother at least in my experience

    Awesome honest video as always. It's true. Okay you get more range. But with all the bells and whistles they are losing the weight and the original flex as well. They better jumpn on the 2-1 boards. I like a bit more range, but I don't wanna give in into the flex that's getting stiffer and stiffer for these boards. Also comfort of carrying them. And not to mention the S2 having super brittle trucks. Got the S2 4 months ago and still can't ride it because of the trucks snapping off and battery not working like it should and it still hasn't been replaced. By that time the warranty is over... Good CS 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️😅. This looks like a nice sleek version. But I miss the flex in these boards. True with shorter decks it feels more nibble because of the shorter radius 🤌🤙. Same as the Verreal RS, it has a shorter deck compared to other 2-1 boards, but makes it way more nimble than others 🤙🤙

    I LOVE my OG Zealot - one of it’s best features is that super flexi deck. I was disappointed when I rode the new S2 & it felt like a tank. What’s the flex like on this nimble little number?

      @DanielKwan  7 місяців тому

  • @bboyagua
    @bboyagua 7 місяців тому +1

    I absolutely LOVE my Zealot S and ride it every day the weather allows. I got the S2, and love the way it looks, but it's totally unridable out of the box. I think it's the new wheels, because any little pebble or bump it its causes the wheels to skip and slide in TOTALLY random ways that take a few zig-zags to recover from. It's the exact opposite of how the zealot S and virtually every other board I've ever ridden reacts to turbulence. Gonna swap the wheels and see if it can ride. The specs were actually quite disappointing in real life tests. Maybe 10% more range in the S2 with all that weight.
    The S2 is gorgeous though.

    What product would you say is a direct competitor to this board? I’m thinking the exway wave because it’s in the “short board” category. With that in mind I’d say for $600, aside from the glowing light, that the wave is a much better value.
    What go you think?

    • @DanielKwan

      You may want to consider Zealot S2E as well. For me I prefer Zealot S's ambient lights and lighter weight. As for how the decks compare with Tynee's, in theory the Zealots' decks should be more impact-resistant but I think Tynee Ultra's deck should flex more. Dunno about the flex of Ultra X.

I love light decks too, I’m surprised you don’t rock the old G2s more often, since it’s so light at 14 lbs & a larger, more comfortable deck. It’s easy to forget about older boards, as they age out of production. It’s a pretty good hill climber too, with its 80mm lighter, torquier wheels, which is small, compared to todays standards. I agree lightweight is key for portability & I don’t need higher top speeds, either.

      @@DanielKwan I’ll have to double check myself, but if I recall correctly, that is what PRESS RESET said of the old galaxy g2. I think he weighed it in at about 14.3 lbs on a scale on his former UA-cam channel (RIP), while weighing his lightest boards and it came out on top. It’s lightweight & his high praise as his board of choice as his daily driver amongst all his other boards spoke volumes & is what sold me on the older galaxy g2 board. I simply upgraded the Esc and remote on mine to the g2s, because I had a lot of issues with the shipped indiegogo g2 Esc and remote not working properly, freezing, etc. Works much better now, with the upgraded g2s Esc and remote, no known issues. I’d have to agree with press reset, it’s a excellent budget electric skateboard.

      And regardless if you did or did not do that, the EUC community as a whole acts like this. It’s weird and cultish and puts people off from riding them.
      I won’t even touch upon the fact that DKwan, if anything, rides in a chill, carvy, urban style. He has stated over and over that he couldn’t care less how fast boards go these days; his interests are in ride feel, portability, getting around cities, and innovation. None of that applies to EUCs (have you ever tried to carve on an EUC? lol. What a joke of a “ride feel” that is). He’s even getting more into NON-electric boards with his channel. So yeah. Stop trying to push your agenda onto what he wants to do, and maybe pay attention to what kind of content he’s actually creating (hint: it’s not towards EUCs).
