Odin Larsen Yeah, but 25k what? Pounds? Dollars? Norway bucks? In the US a good 2006 STi for $16k USD. Which is about £12k. Although that price can vary state by state. Any cheaper than that though and the STi is probably in crap condition....

I will stick with my Saab 9000 2.3T Aero thanks. Free OpenSource tuning to 310bhp with just a simple remap, no mods. 0-60 in 5.2 and 0-100mph in 10.5 sec. Very entertaining with 100mph available in 3rd gear, but still does 40mpg on long motorway runs.
Paul Taylor The 9000's are great. They have much stronger internals than the newer Saabs so you can tune the hell out of them and they don't blow up like the newer Saabs.
Correct. One my my 9000 Aeros with the B234R engine ran at 400bhp all day long, with 225,000 miles on the clock. Never missed a beat. All stock Forged internals as standard. Now all the tuning is opensource they are real bargains. Unfortunately kids are now putting the engines into Corsas to make 400bhp rockets for very little money. Since the early Saabs engines use the same bolt patterns as GM. Just a co-incidence at the time.
Me too! My uncle had a 2006 Impreza WRX STI with nitrous. It was so fast and loud! The last time I saw it was when I was probably six years old so I never asked him how much horsepower it had. He passed away and his family never sold it. One day I might buy it (and remove the nitrous so I can drive it on the road)
I remember driving round in the states with the Captain’s driver in HMS ARK ROYAL’s Jaguar XJS 4 litre V8 with dark blue metallic paint job, walnut trim, and the muscle car engine tone with the distinguished good looks. The yanks were beside themselves, couldn’t get enough of that car. Happy days.
First on our list we have a Honda Fit sporting 130 horse power for only 18k. At least it won't blow up in a small crash like the rest of the cars on this list! We also got this VW 2017 sporting a _turbo_... I mean its a tiny turbo and the car weighs like 1000 lbs more than any other car in its class so the extra performance is completely negated, but its only 22k for the base model! Next if you really want performance per dollar a ford ST for 16k that only needs am engine replacement. You Subaru fans are in luck, we have a 2010 STI with only 300k miles on it and a fully rusted suspension system for only 14k! We haven't forgotten about you Muscle fans, we got a 2006 Impala V6 that only got 120k miles on it before the cops finally were able to get the arrest to stick for drug smuggling! It must be great to live in the states with deals like these!

I picked up a great 04 sti half a year ago, but I paid more than 8500 pounds. I paid $19,500 CAD. But then, there was only 61,000 kms on the odometer and it was already properly stage 2 modded and tuned. What made me really choose that particular car was that all the reliability mods for the ej25 were already done. 12mm oil pump, oil pan, oil pick up, windage tray, 850cc injectors and walbro 255 pump. The previous owner knew what they were doing and took care of the car fantastically.
2001-2002 Camaro SS and Firebird Trans Am WS6 hit 60 in 4.7 seconds. Often found under 10k for an automatic in the US. Manuals are often more expensive. Super fun cars, one of the best drivetrains in the world with the LS1-T56 combo.
If you count in fuel, insurance and especially maintenance cost most of these will double their cost within one or two years. I got a brand new BMW M140i and the cost to run it is surprisingly low. Lower than my 16 year old Alfa 147 1.6 actually :-/ the Beemer has a 5 year warranty and service deal.

My father owns a CLS55, and can say it is truly a car worth more than it's value. It is epic in every way, still massively luxurious and surprisingly modern insides (presuming you have the centre display extra and the right interior trim). A meaty exhaust note, fast and looks modern, especially compared to other AMGs from the time. They're rare and have a much loved engine so it is personally surprising to me that they depreciate so hard, not complaining though as it means more petrolheads can access it ;)
Tandju So how much is 20l for you? We get gas all I know I think is from america and russians start to be rude that we dont buy gas from them, so maybe well get attacked one day ;D I need to run like in Norway or Germany or America.
my dad has had a 06 CLS 500 for about 6 years with about 170k km (110k miles) now and he loves it. it has been pretty reliable for the most part lately tho the climate control has been a little derpy the front and the back are doing the opposite of each other but its very nice to drive, has tonnes of toque, sounds good, transmission is very smooth and is comfortable in the front but the back seat is a little tight tho. I would recommend one but some parts are expensive cuz its pretty rare.
For those questioning UK performance car running costs. I own a UK Mitsubishi Evo X FQ330 and i pay £45 per month to tax it/£540 per year. Insurance costs me around £600 for 12 months fully comprehensive. Super unleaded fuel/99 Ron is about £1.16 per litre.
276hp for the EVO is not true. The 276hp is the Gentleman's Agreement This agreement ended in 2006. But I would go for the WRX STI. Because AWD 4 Life.
Yeah, I am really wondering about those cars atm. I am in the market for a relatively inexpensive weekend car. I hear good things in regards to tunability but I hear also you'd have to replace a lot of the parts around the engine because they are have been developed cheaply and tend to be a nightmare to maintain.
Catholic Commando No they aren’t. A stock 2007ish 335 is around 11k Canadian which is quite a bit less in pounds or usd. It has some problems but I found one that was driven by an old guy who never even got above 5k rpm. No problems yet and it isn’t exactly low mileage. Also if you can find one that has had those problem parts replaced apparently they have fixed or reduced the problems.
I'd have to go for the 335d with 1k chucked at it costing you around 6-8k depending on the usuals. Would kill all these cars while doing twice the mpg ;)
dan troy then you have obviously never experienced one because once you know you know. There's no un knowing after that. Tell me about 500+ bhp and 700+ torque through a duel clutch transmission not being able to eat these cars. You'll just look like some fool 😂😂😂😂
No 335i? Bought mine for 9 grand got an intercooler, catless downpipe, and tune for under a 1k extra. 406whp and 440 pound feet. Super fast car. And I'm super happy with it. Been running it for 26k miles like that. Only had a few small problems. Coils spark plugs and a vacuum leak all cheap easy fixes.
Two of my mates bought R32 skylines. One is a 330whp RB20DET for $7500 NZD (~£3750) The other got a ~380whp RB25DET for $10,800 (~£5400). If you want cheap but fast modified Japanese cars New Zealand is probably your best option, Japanese imports often have a lot of rust and Australian laws make it hard for them to modify cars.
Thought I would go ahead and see if these prices are the same in Norway. Not even in the same fucking ballpark! A E63 in the UK costs around 10,000 pounds? Well, in Norway the same car costs just under 42 thousand pounds. The CLS55 AMG for under 10,000 pounds? Get ready to pay 48,700 pounds for one of those here. Fuck...
One car that was affordable few years back is the Audi 200 20V turbo quattro, when stock it's not as fast as one's mentioned in video accelerating 0-62mph around 6.5 seconds but with small tweaking you can get it to do that in 5 seconds flat. I'm happy to own one of those avant versions only 1616 produced, the sedan bodied 20 valve 200's are more common cause over 3000 of those have been produced.
I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Evolution 7 GSR and I can honestly say for a car of it's age and performance capabilities, it can keep up with just about any car out there nowadays (especially when modified). It goes fast. Handles superbly. And makes your passenger shit themselves lol. If you can find yourself a good example for a decent price, you won't regret a moment with it on the road.
Did they have the Saturn Sky Redline over there? Looked it up yes you do, the Opel GT. That car if the engine is still the 2.0L Twin Turbo has close to 300hp and does 0-60mph in 5.0s. With very little money you will be punching way above your weight. With even more money the interior may stay together.
XR6 Turbo: 4 doors, rear wheel drive, 6 speed manual, 4.0L inline 6 turbo with 270kW, 0-100 in 5.2 seconds, 120,000km on the clock for $18K AUD. Can't beat that, I challenge you to try. Higher km on the clock can land you one for even cheaper.
My friend got a 2002 Nissan Maxima se v6 3.5L for 2300$ it usually clock's in at 0-60 in 6 seconds. Considering it's all stock it sounds like he got a really good buy.
*Why tf are cars so damn cheap in the UK? I have never seen any of those car priced close to what you said in the video. STi for less than 10k wtf.*

1. Insurance
2. Not many RHD countries (nearby) thus low demand to export them.
3. Fuel cost is high so bigger engine cars aren't popular.

Yeah... You might be able to buy a RS6 for £8000 but you'll end up spending another £8k for repair and maintenance since these cars are probably driven hard.

Tandju So how much is 20l for you? We get gas all I know I think is from america and russians start to be rude that we dont buy gas from them, so maybe well get attacked one day ;D I need to run like in Norway or Germany or America.
A 2006 wrx sti in austrailia is around $31,000
@Lloyd Fellows what?
Why are they so expensive here? Older STI’s are almost as much as the current model
@@neelparmar6690 because heritage being actual rally cars rather than normal street bangers
Wow, I bought a Jdm hawkeye wrx sti last week for a smidge under 10k.(UK)
Well probably because it's the only one in Austalia 😂
I need to move to the U.K.
Super Shimada Bro car prices aren’t too bad but youl pay the same value of the car again just to insure it for a year.
By all means
When ill grow ill sure do that
Tom Williams the insurance in the uk is cheap stop complaining
my dad has had a 06 CLS 500 for about 6 years with about 170k km (110k miles) now and he loves it. it has been pretty reliable for the most part lately tho the climate control has been a little derpy the front and the back are doing the opposite of each other but its very nice to drive, has tonnes of toque, sounds good, transmission is very smooth and is comfortable in the front but the back seat is a little tight tho. I would recommend one but some parts are expensive cuz its pretty rare.
I love the poke at Doug Demuro with the E63.
the jaguar but that's cause I already own a Jaguar so slightly biased lol
I agree the jag is the best!
I would but the e63 looks a bit more menicing
Then you pay £5000+ in insurance...
The insurance in the uk is cheap compared to many other countries
WHA? A SUBIE WRX STI?
MY BOI POODABRAN WILL BE HAPPY
The Skyline Gtr R34 Guy Lol
My dad owns a 2007 CLS 63 AMG. So far, so good!
Meanwhile in Singapore, a Prius is costing $160,000 and I can dream about getting a E63 AMG.......
Muhammad Shairazi can we export to Singapore?
Shhh don't say that name around here, you will get us in trouble
5 cars that cost you £10000 a year to keep on the road
Evo and sti aren't that bad to maintain. The rest, yep.
HA HA HA! CORRECTLY 100%
You would be lucky if you find an evo that's in working condition for less than 10k here in the US lol
Bumper to bumper warranty! Laughed so much... Thanks a lot Doug
You forgot to mention the Saab 9-5 aero. It makes great power with the 2.3T and or 3.0T V6.
The mitsubishi and the subaru
276hp for the EVO is not true.
The 276hp is the Gentleman's Agreement
This agreement ended in 2006.
But I would go for the WRX STI.
Because AWD 4 Life.
Fuck mitshubishi
These Mercs and Jag might be 5-10k, but as soon as something goes wrong, you'll double that cost in no time...
Jarl Ballin' good thing then that amg 55 and 63 engines are pretty bulletproof. Same for XJR 4.2 compared to others mentioned
Good luck finding any of those cars for those prices in Australia (Even the Aussie AMG you showed with NSW plates)
I'd take the E63 AMG in a heartbeat. That engine is to die for.
335i? Will be around 5 sec 0-60 but way faster with 2k in simple mods.
Yeah, I am really wondering about those cars atm. I am in the market for a relatively inexpensive weekend car. I hear good things in regards to tunability but I hear also you'd have to replace a lot of the parts around the engine because they are have been developed cheaply and tend to be a nightmare to maintain.
Joseph C. had one. So they're all bad.
Because one example is enough. That's science.
Joseph C. N55 sucks
DuBstep115 exactly
Catholic Commando No they aren’t. A stock 2007ish 335 is around 11k Canadian which is quite a bit less in pounds or usd. It has some problems but I found one that was driven by an old guy who never even got above 5k rpm. No problems yet and it isn’t exactly low mileage. Also if you can find one that has had those problem parts replaced apparently they have fixed or reduced the problems.
I'd have to go for the 335d with 1k chucked at it costing you around 6-8k depending on the usuals. Would kill all these cars while doing twice the mpg ;)
A 335d cant touch either the cls55 or the e63 😂
dan troy then you have obviously never experienced one because once you know you know. There's no un knowing after that. Tell me about 500+ bhp and 700+ torque through a duel clutch transmission not being able to eat these cars. You'll just look like some fool 😂😂😂😂
dan troy Thats the Magic of Diesel!
700 NM+ will fuck every Mercedes :)
The 335D is very tunable that's why he is talking that with a few mods it will destroy them.
l1aM j0n3s but why the d? + it wouldent beat any of them........i want a 335i. If there's something good about it then pls dont rek me
The sti cuz im a subie fan😂
It is a hard choice, however I would enjoy the WRX STI the most. The other cars are awesome too, however I love that boxer engine.
No 335i? Bought mine for 9 grand got an intercooler, catless downpipe, and tune for under a 1k extra. 406whp and 440 pound feet. Super fast car. And I'm super happy with it. Been running it for 26k miles like that. Only had a few small problems. Coils spark plugs and a vacuum leak all cheap easy fixes.
did anyone else notice that he was talking about the 03-05 sti while showing a picture of an 07
Here in Indonesia, all are above £10K lol
Audi rs6
Gosh, I'm moving to England just to roam around in a cheap Jag XJ. Still looks great
Two of my mates bought R32 skylines. One is a 330whp RB20DET for $7500 NZD (~£3750)
The other got a ~380whp RB25DET for $10,800 (~£5400).
If you want cheap but fast modified Japanese cars New Zealand is probably your best option, Japanese imports often have a lot of rust and Australian laws make it hard for them to modify cars.
R32 is so unreliable
I'm debating between a 2005 STi or a 2015 STi, help pleaseee
quijada15 2015
2005. Last generations are boring.
Itll be more fun with a 05 sti, so raw and old school, the time when sti and evo were head to head with each other, but your preferences may vary.
Just pick anything, my dad has both but now he sold the old sti and has an evo x. So right now he has (2016 sti) and 2015 (evo x)
quijada15 2005 sti. way more fun and better looking imo. I've driven both but I own an 05 so I'm a little biased
Bruh I raced a mom at a stoplight in a toyota sienna and I lost
Bryce but what were you driving
Fastest cars in the world- the rent cars
Or company cars.
I have STI and only one thing to say: LOVE IT also has a bit more hp than stock ;)
Oh yes i already fell in love with that mitsubishi in the start
Impreza WRX STI Hawkeye
u can get an xjr for less than £4k
You can get the older X308 for much less. My dad has one and the thing is mental fast (had both pulleys changed)
I owned an Evo x. Once you get passed the interior (it's not easy) it's a great car
Pure clickbait. You'll spend triple on maintenance on the Mercs, better off with the rice boxes. Zero bling factor, though.
Whys it clickbait? He didn't say "fastest accelerating cars that you can buy and maintain for £10k"
E55 amg for 10k yes not a e63 amg there more like 16k
When EVO VI go for like 40/50k in your country T_T
I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Evolution 7 GSR and I can honestly say for a car of it's age and performance capabilities, it can keep up with just about any car out there nowadays (especially when modified). It goes fast. Handles superbly. And makes your passenger shit themselves lol. If you can find yourself a good example for a decent price, you won't regret a moment with it on the road.
1999-2000 BMW M5 4.9L V8 takes 5.5Seconds to do 0-60MPH And costs around £8000
Make fast cars - low fuel consumption
Joro Seizov Well physics don't cooperate with that.
Mercedes
Subie
That evo is going up in value like crazy
y'all should do the differences between front engine and a mid engine
#1 - Any Old BMW
E 63 AMG
For 10k
Evo ans STI under $10k? Probably in your dreams lol.
CyberrJunky
It's calculated in £ not $
SpikyHair *It’s Calculated in* *_POUNDS_*
Learn to read lol
With the Jag just upgrading the pulleys on the supercharger will get you under 5 seconds, and you have a great long distance cruiser, with wood
You can get are fg for 12k
I can't wait to get a Subaru it's gonna kick butt in the winters in Canada being saving up for one :)
That Twin Turbo V8 Audi RS6 😍👌, sleeper alert.
I'd take the E63 AMG if I had the money. Gotta love the roar of that AMG V8!
My friend got a 2002 Nissan Maxima se v6 3.5L for 2300$ it usually clock's in at 0-60 in 6 seconds. Considering it's all stock it sounds like he got a really good buy.
