You are by-far the best teacher of crocheting I have come across. You teach in a step-by step manner. You don’t rush through steps. I can see each stitch that helps me when I am crocheting. I love these patterns of flowers you have created. Thank you, thank you. I’m currently making some tulips, but when I am done I am going to make these flowers.
I just would like to say after watching lots of others crocheting flowers this person is the very best as she does do it as slow as she can and all her flower making and other crocheting making is very easy to follow and I am very glad that she is on here to show people how to crochet if you are a beginner and if you have call teas in Reading or writing so by watching this person's crocheting she is very good I'm very good to under stand on how to make whatever item you would like to make thank you very very much for putting your ideas on here and to show how to crochet flowers which is one of the things that I like to do more than anything else I have tried crochet blankets but just normal old fashioned crochet by watching your crocheting videos it is showing me on how to crochet pattern blankets thank you very very much again keep it up as I love watching your crochet videos on how to make things as you explain them as slowly as you can and very easy for me to be able to try them myself so thank you very much
Just started crocheting at the age of 62! Have so enjoyed your tutorials as you are a terrific teacher...easy to follow and your creations are beautiful. Thank you.
I've been crocheting for over forty years and yet there is always something new to learn. Very happy to find a flower pattern that's not just the same old, same old. Thanks!
Thank you for this wonderful design. This is the best daffodil tutorial I have crocheted. I like how you start the cupped center then continue to crochet the connected petals. I have made 5 so far for a bouquet.
I love this pattern, thank you so much! I did make a couple small changes because I didn't like how big the center turned out when I made it. I cut out rounds 6-8. Also instead of doing front loop only, I did back loop only for round 3, and that made it flare out, which is the look I wanted. Awesome tutorial! I'm making a bouquet for my mother in law, daffodils are her favorite 😊
Very pretty...and your instructions are so well explained...to answer one of your questions at beginning...the centre of the daffodil...I call it the trumpet.....I am looking forward to creating these...with your help.. thank you x
Lovely lovely daffodil, one of my fave flowers! Great idea of a Mothers' Day gift, which is coming soon. I enjoy watching your very clear and concise tutorials, always, with your sweet BBC English voice. Thank you for sharing your talents!
Thank you so much for the video. I made some for a couple of moms who are very special to me. They are going to be very surprised on mothers day. . I placed them in a vases . They look so beautiful . Thank you again for taking the time to make this video.
I wanted to say thank you for this tutorial I used it to make a them as gifts for family to remember my Nana and they went down very well so thank you we love the pattern.
This pattern is stunningly beautiful and not difficult to make, and your video is wonderfully clear. I have used different colors to simulate other narcissus flowers (white or yellow petals, yellow or copper pink or orange or mint green centers), and I will be tacking them onto a framed board for display. Thank you so much for this video. BTW, I made them using Aunt Lydia's size 10 cotton crochet yarn and a size 9 Bates steel crochet hook. Any size 10 cotton crochet yarn will work (including Red Heart or J&P Coates Knit-Cro-Sheen which sadly is no longer available).
This pattern has given me so much joy! I had no yellow so I used colors I had. In the fun of it, I've created some new flowers; the Purpodil (I had several purples on hand) and the Grafodil (plenty of green too). I continued combing boxes for yarn and I found pink and white so, finally, I was able to make a "real" daffodil too. Thanks for sharing the pattern. :-)
Just found your tutorial , so easy to follow and perfectly explained. Thanku . I love daffodils but they are so fleeting in spring, now I can make my own permanent display 💕
I just made this for a tea cosy which is meant to have a daffodil on top that is knitted in the round, which I struggled with. So I searched for a crochet version and found yours. Thanks for your excellent tutorial. I made the trumpet in orange and the petals in yellow. It's so nice!
You are so good at explaining. I have crocheted for years but still learned something. You seem to know when to stop and give us a pause. Only wish we could get a print out of pattern. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your lovely spring daffodils 🌼 the center of the daffodil is called a trumpet as iam a gardener and florist it's spot on love ❤️ Wendy x x
The ‘tube’ part of a daffodil is called the ‘TRUMPET’!Thanks for this great tutorial...from a Welsh girl who will DEFINITELY make a bouquet of these for my home!!xx
thank u for your instructions I just made a daffodil with my extra yarn left from the shawl. I place the daffodil on the shawl looks amazing and beautiful ... God Bless you
The technique for using florist tape is to slightly stretch it as you go and that makes it sticky. I used to use a lot of this as I made sugar paste flowers for my wedding cakes!
Absolutely Fantastic! Been hunting for a daffodil pattern after doing the tulips for Mothers Day. Hoping to have various vases of seasonal crocheted flowers in window all year round. ThanQ so much for all your hard work. It is very much appreciated.
iI have watched and cal'd with the video excluding the flower stem as I didn't have any wire or tape. its quite damp weather in uk so I will be filling my sitting room with daffodils as other than sunflowers I find them to be very cheerful flowers. thank you x
My mum has hinted she wants flowers for mothers day however she doesnt like real ones as my dad is allergic to pollen. These are lovely and safe around my dad. Thankyou so so much xxx
Quick tip! Florist tape releases glue when you pull it out a bit and then you don’t have to use as much either. Love all your videos, thank you so much.
I really enjoy your videos. You have a calming voice which makes it easy to follow. Also I am so happy to see that you crochet holding your pieces instead of your pointer finger sticking up. I do the same as you. Lol. Can't wait to get some of your flowers on the go.
Perfect! I made all of my flowers and bought the wire and tape but wasn't sure how to assemble it all. 😂 Your instructions are easy to understand and are exactly what I was looking for. What would I do without you? Thank you so much for everything. I wish you peace, love, and happiness always.✌🏻💐🐾🧵🇺🇸
Fantastic tutorial I can follow this you do it nice and slow every step is nice and clear thank you I am putting a ferrio Roche in centre for Easter treat x
This is the best daffodil crochet pattern I've seen yet, thank you so much! Also, please don't take this as an offense because I mean it as a true compliment ~ Your lovely voice puts me to sleep! I just started crocheting a few months ago, and once I found your UA-cam here I listen/watch a video every night before I drift off to dreamland. I feel like Mary Poppins is telling me a nice bedtime story. Haha! :) Thanks for all you do and share!
You are amazing. I watched the entire video to get the full picture of what I will need to do. Now I can hardly wait to get started. Brilliant!!! Thank you!!!!
I couldn't tell if you were doing it but if you stretch the tape it gets sticker. Beautiful tutorial for the Daffodil I enjoyed watching it, thank you!!!
Nice! Now I know what to do with this yellow yarn that I have laying around 😃 I normally never use yellow so I didn’t know what to use it for. I will make some daffodils for my mum for Easter/spring decorations ☺️ Thank you for the video 😊😊
These look so real. Daffodils are my favorite flower!! This is the best pattern I have seen of a daffodil so far. I am definitely going to make a bunch of these. Thank you so much!!❤
This was AWESOME!!!!.....I enjoy so much watching you...talented with s soft spoken voice...you are just a great teacher.....thanks for sharing your time and talent....Now I just hope I can do 😊
I came across your videos the other day as I was curious on how to crochet flowers. I'm a knitter and I wanted to make little flowers to attach to hats, jumpers etc., but I've never crocheted before! The first couple of videos taught me the basics, and I've already made one small pink flower. Thank you so much. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that you had a daffodil video up too, though - daffodils are my favourite flowers! I'm a little obsessed with them maybe, so I will just have to do this one. I MUST master the technique! Also I agree with another poster below, you have a lovely soothing voice, and I actually drifted off to one of your videos last night, haha! Thank you so much for these great instructions, you are a star.
I can't wait to make these, daffodils are one of my favorite flowers, reminds me of my childhood, we had loads of these that sprung up every year. Now I'm gonna pop over and check out your tulip video, my second favorite flower 😊 Thanks for sharing!!
Love the flower and all your video. You have taught me how to crochet! One thing I want to point out about this pattern. I have made 2 daffodils. You say you may want to crochet first part ("cup") inside out. If you do this and do picot edging while still inside out it is Perfect. Like yours in video. However on second I followed written pattern which I downloaded. It doesn't say to crochet inside out and I forgot. So the picot edging stuck outward rather than inward. So it was a very different look. Just an FYI. Again thank you. You are amazing!!
Thanks so much I try n try with many patterns of Daffodils 🌼 u one seem ok to follow but I find myself it’s far too much on center n easy to confuse 😩it’s lots work on this it’s come out huge look nice but I prefer the Rose 🌹 it’s easier than daffodils 🌼 I just only beginner not long u daffodils it’s really real challenge the only thing I can do it’s keep try n try 🙃😅thanks so much again for u beautiful daffodils 🌼 👍
Ooh wow! Thank you so very much for your Patient to show us this wonderful flower. And....by the way, my english gets better.many greetings from Frankfurt, germany,Edith
