- Is this gold I bought real? I got it as a gift for my mother-in-law, and I'll only give her the best. So, I found that there are testing labs at Dubai's Gold Souk. It cost just 20 dirhams. And they found that my gold was 22 carat. My mother-in-law was very happy! Do you double-check your pricey buys?

Such testing is now very common in big brands in India (Tanishq). It was common in Kerala since decades. Btw did you buy from a Kerala brand jewellery? (Malabar, Allukas, Chemannur, etc)
But hey! There can be other ways of tricking. I read one about a 22k good bead necklace filled with wax to increase its weight

Tip one make sure it’s a reputable brand, make sure you look in the review , ask local we’re the place to buy and trust worthy , make sure they have xrf machine and density machine at the jewelry before you buy it don’t buy it if you don’t know what it it’s you never know so don’t trust people your money cuz I don’t lol

2 . Check the making charges.
3. Check if it's hallmarked
4. Buy mostly when there are offers on the making charges.. like on dhanteras

This can just check for surface gold not whats filled in the Core of the ornament and if it's similar density ,the testing will be false negative for fake gold.

All the jewelry store over here they have xrf machine so they will show it to you before you purchase anything so you know in your mind what you have after that I still take somewhere else to double check cuz you never know I don’t pay with my money
I wouldn’t buy gold in Dubai cuz the jewelry stores got have xrf machine if they don’t have one there no cheap to get one cuz that make the customer feel fl safe buying from you after they see it the test

I wouldn’t buy guys if you can’t not test the gold jewelry at the shop there responsible to have xrf machine and density machine to check your gold jewelry to make customer feel more safe with the items there buying and then I still take to so where else to get second bias opinion make sure it’s real you taking about gold not metal make hard they don’t play you
should they have those machines 100% but theyre probably working in a situation where as long as there is one around not every place needs one
