It's hard to follow Ateez mv without understanding their lore. Here's the best explanation I've read to date: Ateez are pirates who were gifted that hourglass (called a chromer) which allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. At first, they are searching for treasure and having adventures, but eventually they run into these bad guys who have chains where their faces should be. The bad guys are from Dimension Z, whereas Ateez is from Dimension A which is presumably where we are as well. But there is another version of Ateez from Dimension Z called the Black Pirates (aka Halateez) who are the enemies of the no-face guys. At first Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no-face guys (they are the ones in the black hats in the MVs for Answer, Say My Name, and Hala Hala). Eventually something happens and Halateez disappear (I'm not totally clear on this part) and Ateez ends up in Dimension Z instead of Halateez. What they discover is that the no-face guys are in charge of the government and they have brainwashed everyone in Dimension Z to have no emotions so that they can be controlled. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the corrupt government and restore emotion to the people. To do this they use propaganda in the Guerrilla music video and chili peppers in the Bouncy music video (because apparently people can feel the burn of the spicy chilies and that helps reconnect them to feeling). They also smuggle weapons in the chilis. In this current episode (Crazy Mode mv) they need to finish taking down the government and get the heck out of Dodge. But the chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video so how are they supposed to leave? Yunho and Wooyoung are working on the pirate ship in the lab. Meanwhile Jongho and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials do their business and start shooting things up. They other members are being rounded up by the government but they just have to wait till Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung successfuly projects the pirate ship in the sky. Once done, the team appears thrilled and heads for it. If you notice that in the beginning scene there is a crescent moon and in the final scene a full moon. Ateez can only travel on the full moon. In the extra scene at the end you see the full moon, but the pirate ship and presumably Ateez as well are gone even though they left the broken chromer in Dimension Z. In the song Halazia, Yeosang has a line, "little blue bird that list it's voice." I think they are using this as a metaphor for the people that lost their emotions (if you examine the other lyrics of Halazia). At the end of Crazy Form, you can clearly hear the bluebird singing as it takes to the sky. I assume this means that the bluebird found its voice and the people found their lost emotions. But without the chromer to help them travel will they be able to get back to Dimension A or will their new ship take them somewhere unexpected?
FYI, BTS debuted in 2013, Stray Kids debuted in 2018, and ATEEZ debuted about 6 months after SKZ. ATEEZ is known for their cinematic sound (a lot of their songs sound like they could be movie sound tracks). They do a wide range of music. If you're looking for something different I recommend starting with their songs Guerrilla and Halazia. Typically, their TTs are more commercial while their B-sides tend to give more variety. I haven't listened to this full album yet, but the last one was a banger and different than anything anyone is doing (as was the one before, but they're different from each other). ATEEZ is also known for their youngest, Jongho who is widely considered the best male vocalist of the 4th gen, and one of the best male vocalists in kpop.
Also, the first syllable of their name is pronounced like the letter name A because ATEEZ stands for A to Z or A TEEnager Z. They have a strong storyline throughout their works. Each album series is like a book, and the EPs are like chapters.
@KrustyVlogs They just came out with Bouncy a few months ago, while being in a massive world tour. I think this where they coming from a small company comes from, they are overlooked!! Btw arguably Ateez lifted their company from a small company status but compared to the big 4 (Hybe, YG, JYP and SME) they are pretty small in influence.
ATEEZ They are truly exceptional and extraordinary. It's a totally different and unique group. THEY are really energetic and powerful. Come on Stan the ATEEZ group 💯💯💅💅👑👑👑🥺
Idk as an Army, most of Ateez stuff feels so different than BTS to me. I think it feels pretty similar bc a lot of Kpop does follow the same formula of the rap part, singing part, dance break part. (though as a stay, skz does that too). Also totally not a criticism to you, on my part, a lot of Kpop sounds the same to me. One really cool thing about Ateez is they write and produce a lot of their stuff. There's a joke that the leader, Hongjoong, probably doesn't even know where the dorm is since he spends so many nights sleeping in the studio lmao. I really enjoyed your reaction :)
@@KrustyVlogs thank you for responding, yes it is a new boy group from the same company as bts they are amazing I love they’re songs and also their choreography’s are insane definitely recommend checking them out they also have other good songs like firework, road not taken, scent of you and a few more but for now I think you should start with their newest song war cry
So if im correct ateez are basically pirates. Also in a distopian world where ppl do not have sense of individuality. So they are going around looking for a tresure a purpose. And also finding a way to make society wake up. A lot of times yall will see HALATEEZ who are the ofher versions of them who where all black and phedoras. Ateez battle through giving in to the darkness and or finding themselves. The treasure is somethimg that is not specified. But yeah thats the main premise
Thank You for your reaction. I hope Prodigee and Krusty give ATEEZ another listen. They came up from nothin and joned a company that didn't exsist before them. They slaved for everything that they are now, and are still at it. 💯💥💯💥
