      It is bringing to light some extremely severe flaws in U.S. “democracy.”
      Extremely uneducated and misinformed people are given the choice to vote between two oligarch-backed madmen whose greatest selling point is they are not worse than the other guy.

    Why doesn't Canada just charge the US the full price for their oil. No discounts. Discounts are for friends, not enemies.

    • @tc3804
      @tc3804 3 години тому +70

      Hey Canadian oil worker here. We can't because our oil is not the same grade as Brent crude, ours Is blended mix called western cad select. The reason it's discounted is because most global refineries aren't equipped to refine it as it's very sour in nature and somewhat corrosive. It contains a lot of heavy asphaltines and cokes up easily. The discount is to make it sellable

Or does he plan on never leaving the presidency. All of this is terrifying. No one is taking it seriously but this all seems like 1933 repeating again. Is DOGE the gestapo? USA decided more than five decades ago that USA want’s to get the world addicted to American demand and build USA dollar into paper gold. Trump is in fact reversing a fifty year long trend set by Nixon and Kissinger. It was figured out in 1970 that USA could no longer have a trade surplus through manufacturing. 😂😂😂

    Canadians drink $1 Billion of US liquor every year. On Tuesday, that is seriously going to zero. That’s not a little start. Canada sells oil at a $16.80 per barrel discount to the US. That’s why Trump can add 10% and not blink. But it’s Canada that needs to add to the price. Starting in July, LNG can start shipping from British Columbia. Canada could open to Chinese EVs, if that is the cost of China being willing to buy all of the agricultural products that the US is not buying. There will be a race to build additional pipelines from Alberta to both coasts. (btw, canada has posted on gov’t websites the initial tariffs, you can google it.)
