In India, mantra meditation includes 5 steps: 1) Repeat the mantra in a normal voice for several 20-minute sessions until no more distracting thoughts arise. Feel free to repeat faster to prevent other thoughts from entering your mind. 2) Then repeat the mantra in a whisper for several session until it occupies your entire mind. Repeat faster if necessary. 3) The mantra will then be repeated mentally as many times as necessary to occupy your full attention. 4) If you mentally repeat your mantra each day as often as possible, it will eventually repeat itself automatically without any voluntary effort. 5) Finally, the mantra will fade away and be replaced by a state of full awareness. But you can just apply step 1 for 5 minutes followed by step 3 for about 20 minutes. This should help you to hold the mantra mentally without being disturbed by any thoughts.
I have found regular practice helps a lot. I've always been kind of here and there with a meditation practice. I'm going to try to incorporate this daily. I wish everyone peace
The basic problem with coming up with a mantra for yourself is that by doing so meaning can become attached. one can find charts on pinterest that supposedly are rt out of the TM instructor training and I believe that they might be because I did see mine on the list. Anyway I think the point is to allow the mind to naturally produce thoughts while thinking the meaningless mantra or sound so that when thoughts occur you can remain with the mantra instead of following the thought you are having. you will then probably have a new thought and that's okay. As far as body itches and such my instructor said not to try and fight it or ignore it but just to scratch it and remember to repeat the mantra . You can not use a goal of trying to "transcend" because goals would represent an idea and an idea is a creation of the mind. It would be like trying to rest the body by running. TM is not like other practices because it's made to be simple and for anyone. it is not stopping thoughts or focusing on one thought. I repeat my mantra while my mind wanders around and settles down a bit. The mantra is sometimes loud and sometimes a whisper, sometimes fast and rhythmic, sometimes chaotic and layered like distant fireworks. What was I thinking? lol no matter what, my mind will produce a new thought just as my heart will go on beating and my lungs will go on breathing. At some point during my practice it will seem like some distance has happened between my last thought and the next and there then is only my mantra. At that point I let go of the mantra and just relax for a minute or two and slowly open my eyes. Almost always for me when I look at the clock about 20 minutes have passed. I'm not now a guru or enlightened. I haven't achieved Somadha in a world of form. I don't glow as far as I know. lol I simply live within a body in a physical world where my thoughts create my existence as they always have. THe only difference is I'm now sometimes aware of the process.
Having listened to other guided TMs this is the only one I finished. The others had way too much talking about the abstract. This one helped me get into it.
I saw the most vivid and beautiful mental imagery and an intense feeling of inner peace. My body was also more relaxed than it has ever been as I'm usually tensed up. Thank you for this wonderful video and powerful music.

LOVED THAT, thank you. Your voice is soothing and it had the perfect amount of guidance, I felt. Lovely music, I’ll definitely listen again. Felt some energy and saw a small blue color in my third eye chakra!! 💙
That music is SO relaxing!! I feel like I could go on very deep meditative journey with this. Any chance you could do a longer video with it? Maybe 20 or 30 mins? Great video. Thanks for posting 🙏
@@mindcontrol682 Yes! I second this request :) I almost reached it my first time listening; so, I can only imagine how beneficial a longer version would be!
I think that 'Transcendence' is a very personal and subjective experience. It's just the sensation that you presently feel somehow 'beyond' the reality of your mind, body and material world. You might feel content, vital, energised, peaceful, relaxed or happy, and not preoccupied in the usual thoughts of the day-to-day.

I have been practicing "the" Transcendental Meditation technique for many years, and although I am happy that so many people are enjoying this meditation, this is not TM. It is not really even similar to TM. So if this does not work for you, you might want to look into (the real) TM; it is quite effortless and it works for everyone. Many blessings, Leslie
Hello , Gregg Braden UA-cam channel. He had 3 min meditations!! I thought 💭 now I can do that. 3 mins in AM, 3 mins PM. Has changed my life. I hope this helps you. ✌️❤️
No. You cannot use anything to REPLACE your sleep. Sleep is extremely important to your health and cannot be skipped or replaced. Sleep deprivation is a torture method, sleep is needed for both your mental and physical health. If you want more time in the day, learn to be efficient with your time - not sleeping is not an option. You could use this meditation BEFORE sleep in order to help you relax and head straight to sleep 😊 Good luck!
I think maybe you are new to TM. It shouldn't be guided at all. This is a great video that gives an introduction, guides you with some breathing exercises to get you into a relaxed state and then leaves you to actually do the TM part. You can't guide someone to transcendence. The whole point is that you need to be left alone with your thoughts and bring yourself back to the music or mantra (that's the only part where she could have added more guidance, is to say a mantra to repeat). If someone is talking through an entire guided "meditation", it's not really a meditation. It may as well be a podcast that encourages you to think/reflect a little. Silence is important for meditation, you need to go inwards.
I learned TM about 18 months ago. I learned from a registered teacher. TM is the easiest thing in the world. This video is far more complicated. Just a mantra, none of this music & rubbish. Get yourself a proper TM instructor. TM is great.

You explain that better than any guide that I found on the internet because they all want me to pay to learn how to do it.
Thats good and all but what is a mantra? I mean, literally.
@@technokitten2038 a good, positive catchphrase/sentence eg "I'm the best" or "I'm the chosen one" or "My best is yet to come" etc

This was actually good, I came with low expectations due to the count of dislikes to this video but I had the best TM experience so far.
Hey I love this so much, could you get a fifteen min version going at some point? It doesn’t have to be this song, just your guidance. Thanks!
Was told to do this for anxiety attacks and it works
For anyone wondering, the music is from Jesse Gallagher - Spirit of Fire. Here is a 1h version >>> ua-cam.com/video/t2cRupdgEkM/v-deo.html
