I said this on another video but this series was revenge for 2009 for me. The 2008-09 Bruins to this day is my favorite Bruins team. They won as many fights as they did games, scored the most goals in the league and allowed the fewest. They beat up Montreal in the regular season and swept them out of the first round as revenge for 08. Then they were down 3-1 to the Canes in round 2 then stormed back to force game 7 only to lose at home in OT. Took ten years but I have my revenge. Swept the Canss out of the East Finals to win the Wales Trophy. RIP Steve "El" Montador

Besides when the whalers were WHA they were the New England whalers and played in Boston. They had to move them somewhere else in New England when they became an NHL team and they chose Hartford. Buffalo barely got funding for what bus now keybank Center and if not for golisano and pegula would have lost the sabres probably to some non hockey southern market like north Carolina where the fans are only in the arena rooting for the home team when it's winning otherwise the arena is mostly transplanted fans of the opposing team. I watched the highlights of game 4 in Raleigh and there were alot of Boston fans there probably transplants. And the canes had a good season and it was a playoff game. That's what happens in non hockey markets. The Carolina like all of the deep south and southeast is college football college basketball and NFL country. They even support the NBA more than hockey. Hartford never had this problem. The would have half empty arenas sometimes if they were losing but in those few good years in the late 80s when they made the playoffs they had great crowds and winning it losing seasons you never heard a large contingent of the opposing teams cried cheer for the opposing teams goals like in Raleigh

There's no Wayne Gretzky mark messier and the Edmonton oilers waiting for them like in 1988 and 1990. I was watching game 5 if the 88 finals and boy were those two teams hacking away at one Another. And they used wooden sticks then. They talk about how dirty the bruins are now especially marchand but the oilers and bruins in 1988 were much dirtier. Except for the size difference the bruins now are tame compared to back them

Boston has the stamina to last them throughout the games. That's one thing I noticed Carolina was majorly lacking. They came out fierce in the 1st then just kind of dropped off. Bruins have so much depth it's pretty much their cup to lose.
That's how they wore down Columbus. The bubble teams can only roll out 3 lines because 4th lines are mostly garbage. The Bruins rolling out 4 to Columbus and Carolina's 3 wore them down.

I love the passing when it works, but man they don't need to force it so much sometimes. Bergeron had a prime shot, dead center in the slot and passed it away. Pastrnak could have like 12 goals by now, if he wasn't deferring so much. To win in the finals, they need their goal scorers to put it in. Basically, Pastrnak, DeBrusk, Bergeron, Marchy all need to shoot. Of course if the pass for a tap in is wide open, like on Bergeron's second in this game, go for it. Just praying they shoot like crazy. Neither of the goaltenders for STL/SJS worry me if faced with 35+ shots every game.
