Would be nice to Clothesline Dry my stuff but Too Humid where I live in Florida and they starts to Mildew before anything dries.. And only costs $1.00 to dry my cloths at the Mat.. at the Mat that looks like a Scrap Yard and $3.00 at the Cleaner Nicer looking one... Same with washing, Cost $3.25 a Load at the one that looks like Scrap but $6 at the Clean one...
@debramathews7339 this was our attempt to get it done ASAP. We plan on adding an agitator soon, nailing down the best design for us. Thanks for the suggestion! ✌️
This is cool! I would need to figure out a cranking system for the washing part as well as the wringing. Maybe put a crankable paddle wheel in the washer basin?
Like the people who make the Barrels Water Tight and Hook a Bike Up to them. Peddle the Bike to Spin the Barrels.. Exercise and Wash at the same time...
I am envious. Being off grid is a late in life aspiration. I might not get there 100%, but I have land and plans. Good luck to you. Love one another and , be safe.
Great setup! Check out soap nuts if you’re thinking about using your waste water for plants. They’re a natural thing that does a good job cleaning and last a while.
@greggrusnak6094 We definitely thought of that. We initially were going to use the tops we cut off as lids with hinges, but decided to go more simple and thought the lids would get in our way while we were doing laundry. They do get a little dirty, but not a bad as you would think, and very easy to wipe out before starting laundry for the day.

I have battery tools as well and use them; but then I also use electric washing machines. Would have seemed less incongruous if you used hand tools, which require no electricity at all, battery or other. You recharge them with a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast
build a stand for your clothes basket beside the washer
Thank you for your describing to the channel. 😁 And I really do like your DYI washing machine build again. Have a blessed weekend guys

you can actually buy old fashioned scrub boards like the antiqes ive got grandmas but 2 ive bought new
look at the new wind turbines they mount along highways. powered by passing vehicles and the weather
if you put blanktes or jeans on the line you will find your line drooping without clothes poles. lived off grid until i was in grade school
if you put a wagon with a barrel on it to catch the used water it , you have good garden water
You need to to build a swisher that you could worked it back and forth not no paddle

What an amazing project! I love American ingenuity when put to work!
We couldn't resist it with Independence Day around the corner 🇺🇲
Why bounce the camera all around? It hurts eyes! I love what you did just hated the bouncing around!
@KaquolMeliReno We used auto focus. However, it doesn't work well in fast motion.
Wow I love it! Extremely cool and well made!
@@generalpattonsbushcraft thank you!
bath water
cool little project. i just didn't like the video editing, too jerky and in and out, made me nauseous
Totally agree! We did not realize our camera was set to auto-focus. Definitely didn't work in time lapse 😂
Thanks for the comment! ❤
Nice! And you have a beautiful view while hanging your laundry.
@@bakerfamilyadventures6540 We sure do!!!

Great idea, we may change it up in the future. The goal for this was fastest way to get laundry up and going.
@LifeReconstructed
Use pvc pipe to make an agitator.
@amybenoit4445 that was the original plan. We're still trying to figure out what would work best for us.
@LifeReconstructed
Definitely understandable. Good luck!

Those blocks would be a lot stronger holes up!
@dougmerworthjackofalltrade3151 that's an easy fix 🤦♂️
It will be full of Sand in no time with all the wind you get

... with battery operated power tools. I guess we're just being silly.
Using Batteries Saves Electricity... Duh!
No electricity on our Homestead at the moment. Battery operated tools are our only luxury. I'm not sorry for using them either lol.
