We asked them if we could show the Marriott and was told it would take a long time to get approval. To be honest Richmond has everything you will need and 40% less

I just got back from Iloilo and stayed at the Richmonde for 7 nights. The pro…it’s very close to the two major malls. The cons…rooms are outdated in need of cosmetic upgrades, you must go across the street to the 7/11 to get extra drinking water, and only about half of the gym equipment is functioning.
That's why if i visit Iloilo nxt year i'll stay in The Marriott Hotel. It has good reviews.
Your room was different than we showed? Or your saying he room we had was dated as well? If you just call downstairs they bring you more water no issues
Restaurant recommendations…Bigby’s at Festive Mall, nice steak dinner…The Muelle Deli, on the River, nice steak dinners and homemade sausages.

And Muelle Deli was where vloggers (and former partners) Mike and Nelly of "Making it Happen" vlog celebrated their anniversary as a couple, on a romantic dinner date. Muelle Deli is located in the romantic riverside Esplanade 8, overlooking the white bldgs of the Provincial Capitol, and yes, overlooking the spectacular sunset at dusk. Bougainvilleas and palm trees at portside. Think of the Seine in Paris, rive gauche!

we stayed here 4yrs ago..looks mildly renovated but moreover I think festive has gotten better and the food stalls across the street. Most luxurious hotel in iloilo..rooms are bigger than Marriott.

Cagayan de oro has no Hotel like richmond a 5star hotel. Iloilo is in different level. Well planned and vibrant city not a typical philippines cities.

The breakfast /brunch buffet dish chicken sutanghon is a fave of mine, but actually I prefer ground beef with the skinny skinny sutanghon noodles (made of mung beans). I think you may have had it before, Michael, I’m certain Bianca has. They are like “glass” or “cellophane” noodles. If you have the mung bean noodle variety then I think that’s a good nutritious breakfast with vegetable protein & if you use chicken breast-lean meat protein. (But I usually ruin it by still having at least one of my servings with rice also). Your multi course meal & cocktails were fabulous to see, even better to eat I’m sure! They must brew great coffee there too I bet.

Was your room actually 5000 pesos per night or was the 5000 room a smaller room that we didn't see?

How much a night? We’re be in Iloilo in July for a month in our house in Sara but would be nice to stay a few nights also we have a big house in Sara but needs furniture I’ve not been back in a longtime so be curious of availability of nice furniture.

How much did you spend for this suite? Only 5k??? We stayed in the Zuri Hotel and paid 5K... Much smaller room. Not comparable.
The deluxe room is just under 5000 we took a Suite with separate bedroom it was 10,500 a night

There are several here it's really depends what you want to do when you stay here. Megaworld and Ayala building we stayed at before we moved here. Big good but Megaworld everything was outside our doorstep

This reminds me I stayed at Manila Hilton in 1985 for $300 a night and it had no hot water....haha ..there is no 5 STAR RESORT in the Philippines.....A 5 STAR RESORT Means everything is free...3 free buffet. Free drinks ..free mini bar..free Limo...that is not happening in the Philippines
This is not a resort, 5 star hotel has different requirements
And I have stayed at 5 star resorts and nothing nis free not even breakfast. 3-4star come with the unlimited drinks and food. 5 star you pay for everything
That was almost 40 yrs ago and manila Hilton was not a resort hotel .forgotten already?
I guess if u book in advance example n agoda website it only cost more or less 3000 pesos ?

We asked them if we could film but they said not without corporate approval and it's a long process. They are also more expensive so for a recommendation we think Richmond made most sense anyway

In iloilo is diff. Bianca and mike is famous in iloilo they are adopted vlogger of iloilo they are always protected dont worry maybe in your city but not in iloilo.
We went to the various hotels and asked if we could film beforehand, it's a private business afterall not in public, management were aware and watching.

10,500 peso a night 😮 Do you not feel guilty about wasting vast quantities of money on luxury hotels in a country where poverty is rife ? There are starving children who would benefit from that money, but I guess showing off your wealth is more important to both of you ! Just the same as 8MFH 😠
So you should spend that money in countries that have money and not spend here, do you know these places generate a huge amount of jobs and economic benefit. Higher star hotels hire far more people per guest than lower star hotels, plus more higher paid management jobs too. Not sure how your logic works but if you think buying the cheapest things only helps the Philippines you are wrong. But we do not hoe to argue we would love to meet up with you here and hear your story. Perhaps we may get inspired by you and your way of life.
